THE 5TH TA TAS SISTERHOOD REUNION IN VEGAS BABY!!!

marlegal - don't feel too pressured to wear the t-shirt. But......virtually everyone will be in a black top, so at least do that. Seriously, you don't want to be the stand out in a crowd of 50+ ladies....or maybe you do
...tee hee hee? LOL
The nice thing about line dancing is that you really don't need to know the steps. Just move left, right, front and back, with the crowd. It's sort of an ocean wave type of thing.
-
No pressure felt here, I assure you! I do wonder though how newcomers would know about the shirts their first year? I know there are others who don't read every page/post and could miss that info.
I have travelled to Vegas with a group of BCO members before, so I know well the fun this type crowd has, don't worry! No coaching needed on my behalf for me to have fun
65 days till I fly those friendly skies
-
Is there a list of things we newbies need to know? Re the shirts listed above, tiaras ( of course I wear one frequently), boas, etc? Is the black shirt a save the Tatas? Fortunately, no matter what unwearable in Las Vegas, you blend in! Be

Last but not least, We are toying with the idea of moving our Sunday brunch away from the Bellagio. The last couple of years we have had issues with our reservation. Last year we were not able to be seated together. The sisters that go to Vegas, any suggestions of good brunch places, please let me know. It is better is you send me a pm, as I tend to get behind on the thread, or send it via facebook. Also if you are still interested in helping, just say the word....
Love you ladies and I cannot wait to see you again or meet you.
Hugs.

Hello everyone!
We're starting the planning now and really need you guys to get back to Gbusse on attendance/rooming list in order to give head counts for other events. Speaking of which.....
Our Friday night lounge gathering was not as planned last year due to the break up of the band we had enjoyed the two years before. So, in trying to find a different location to go to for dancing we have to make a choice and would like your feedback on what you would prefer. We can either go down to Mandalay Bay (will require a bit of a walk, or combo walk and tram, or taxi) and enjoy a live band there.....or we can stay mid-strip area (much closer to Aria) and go to a location with a DJ.
Would really like your preferences on this.
Thanks!
-
My two cents...staying closer. I think you start to lose people when you start using a combo of walking/tram/taxi. It's been 5 yrs since I was there, so don't know a specific recommendation. I'll be there regardless!
-
I'm fine with either one.....but maybe staying closer would be better after the night's partying. Really, either one is fine with me!
-
Jancie, mom and I would love to have you hang out with us on Wednesday. It would be so much fun.
I have a couple of suggestions for Friday Night get together, they are:
Flamingo - Sin city Brewing Co. - no cover charge, It's 5 0'clock Somewhere and Garden Bar
Caesars - Shadow Bar and Galleria Bar - no cover charge
Harrah's Carnival Court
Arria - Bar Modeno or Javiers
Bellagio - Petrossin Bar
Most of the bars listed do not have a cover charge. I would like to suggest that we pick on of the above for Friday night get together and for Sunday night good bye. My choices would be Caesars Shadow Bar for Friday and flamingo Garden Bar for Sunday night. Just a couple of suggestions. Please check out all the venuses mentioned and lets us know what you think.
Hugs to all, Cheryl

If you need help planning let me know.

Hi Cheryl,
The question above was for the dancing part of the night on Friday later after the meet-and-greet. Not sure if any of the places you listed are good for the dancing part or if you are referencing the meet-and-greet?
-
Anniese, either one. Sent you a pm.
-
So many thanks to those doing the planning. I do tons of that as part of my job, so it's nice to be able to sit back this time around and reap the benefits of your hard work. Very much appreciate. I'm gonna love just being told where and when!
-
Ladies....it has been forever since I have been on this site. I have posted on FB though. Room booked, airline booked, ready to roll those dice, and see all you...my wonderful, dear friends!
-
Do you guys have a group FB page?
-
Yes we do have a facebook page..it is private, just for the sisterhood. Send estepp a message telling her you would like to be added.
-
I prefer DJ over live band
So many choices. I don't even know where to begin.
The Wynn Buffet is the best!
-
I love the Wynn buffet also! Be

Good morning sisters, i hope you are having an awesome weekend..... It is raining in NC so it is the perfect day to stay in PJ's.
I have a question, i have a sister that needs a place for Friday only. She has friends fornthe rest of the weekend. If any of you have an extra corner of a room for Friday, please let me know.
Have a great weekend

going to tell the DH this weekend that I'm going to Vegas! this conversation should go over well. yeah btw I'm going to vegas but you can't come, I'm going with a bunch of girls I barely know. booking flight very soon.
-
fredntan, that's exactly how my conv with hub went in 2007 on my first trip (with bco chatters!)
This year when I mentioned it but said that I wasn't sure I'd have enough vaca time left (we had two grandsons born this year and I took time with each daughter afterward), hub was the one who said to me "Go even if you have to take the time without pay"!!! He knows how important it's been to me to connect with the women from bco, not to mention how much stinkin fun I have! First time I went, I had met exactly 1 of the 27 women in the group! And you know what? I just realized..history is repeating itself...this is my first year going with the TaTas group, and I know one woman! (My roommate!) So I hope the conversation with your hub goes well too
-
fredntan: last year was my first year and my conversation went like this {ring ring} me: "hello" hubby: "where are you?" me: "uh, Las Vegas!" hubby "Oh, that was this weekend?" LOL
We girls had a great laugh about that the whole weekend. I had mentioned it and reminded him a couple of times, but I guess it didn't sink in. This year, I'm making him post it on HIS facebook page so he'll remember.
OH, and to add to this year, I'm also going to Vegas 9/14-19 with my BFF from Georgia! WE (hubby and I) are then going to spend the weekend in San Diego 9/21-22 with a couple of the beautiful ladies here (well Sat evening with the girls). So, it's a girlie girl month for me!! Three weekends in a row. I almost feel guilty.
-
Welcome Welcome all the new Sista's!!!! I'm kinda the offical countdown & are ya all ready ? Drumroll..............................

Less that 60 days ladies!!!!! It will be here before we know it!
Well, looks like I will be doing name tags so unless someone wants to take that over ....Please go ahead and send me a message here on BCO with your screen name and your real First name....even if I know who you are! Just want to be sure I don't over look anyone so if it is all in one place it will be much easier for me. If a friend is coming with you who will be at the Meet N Greet I'm happy to provide a tag from them as well! Just give me the person's first name and relationship. (Example: Ann -Journey's friend) Typically I see we mostly wear these for the Meetngreet and then maybe the next morning for breakfast. It's not like a convention where you must have it on at all times.
Let me know if you have any questions!
-
Hi Ladies!
I never get on here to post but I was wondering if we have a head count? I am wanting to do something special for everyone this year so I need to know about how many ladies are coming.
I don't know if we have a Friday night get together set up but I just wanted to throw this out there...I think an outdoor setting would be fun. Just my thought.
Can't wait to see you all!
Teresa
-
Teresa, I see no one has replied yet so I thought I would
You are really sweet to try and do something...not necessary... but everyone loves little gifts! Looking at the latest room list I am counting 38... but I don't know how many may be staying at other locations. BTW I don't see your name on the list (or did I miss it?)
-
Hi Everyone. I attended last year and it was an awesome time. I had a stroke the end of June and have put this years money into going to my 50th high school reunion. Unfortunely I live too far away to make it to both. Enjoy and don't forget that what happened in Vegas stays there...
-
Journey: I would be happy to make the name tags. I'm not working and would have plenty of time. Brenda
-
Black t shirts...decided to order a couple, though not 'glammy' or saying ta tas...just can't do that, but one has pink ribbon and the other has a really cool design around a pink ribbon. So I'm ready for black t shirt night!
-
stffemme65: I am reserving a cabana at the poolside at the Aria for Friday, 10 am - 5 pm. The pool is beautiful, but HOT in the sun. Check out the cabana's on the website, it includes snacks, TV, wifi, etc...and our own cabana "boy"! You are welcome to join us.
The cabana is $400 - $700 depending on the size, so any donations are welcome.
-
Shechirple, did you post about the cabana in facebook earlier, there were a bunch of us that were in for the Cabana.
Posting info about Buffett. The Wynn is the place, about $10.00 more per person but nicer and newer also. In order to stay together we have to reserve and prepay. We need to figure out how to accomplish this. If we prepay, we need to commit and send the money ahead of time. If we just show up we will have to wait and be seated in different areas.
Input welcome here or via private message.
Also we have about 38 of us if your name is not on the list, even if you are staying in another hotel please message me so I can add you to the list.
Cannot wait for Vegas
Hugs
G.
