I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange

Sun - glad you're breathing better.
On being flat: My decision at the time was that since I HATE surgery, there was no way I wanted to go through what it would take for recon. Women on the flat and fab site who've undone the recon seem pleased. Hope you get good info that will help you going forward.
Really hot here. Why can't we have a month or so of temps in the 70ies before we just roll into summer?
-
Sun, good luck with your deconstruction. I had a DIEP. Horrible surgery that I would not do again.
-
For our "strange" thread!

LOVE that song, Blue. It's in my top ten of all-time favorites!
-
Me too E!
This is poifect!!!!!!!!!!

-
LOve this one too. I'm just strange!
-
Funny, Blue.
Also, one of my favorite songs.
-
Can't you just smell their heavenly fragrance!

-
This says it all!

-
Yep, Alexandria.....Strange days found me 13 years ago with my PD diagnosis, and they've been sticking around ever since!
-
Just because I love butterflies.

-
OK.....last one!

-
OH, Blue - I love the pics - isn't that giraffe the BEST??? Tho' - the one about penquin knees - tee, hee....really love it.
Strange - so much more interesting than....you fill in the blanks

DIEP - no way! Maybe cuz I was a very happy 62, and no longer even wanted to think of wearing a bra - but all that surgery - NO WAY....I was kinda "talked" into expanders by the awful surgeon( which I didn't need) and implants - changed PS - and then got the very small ones I wanted- original PS was, borderline evil, 'nuff said. Now, it's just TIME to not even have to think about how weird my muscles feel - also aware now how much more the hospital could CHARGE for expanders & subqequent PS visits - grrrrr..
LOVE LOVE LOVE the PS who did the final exchange for me - hoping this next stage will be easy. NO DRAINS. Oh,my, no drains - yikes, those were awful - and I had to wear them for almost 6 weeks- kinda like having plastic hand grenades hanging on each side.
What's gonna be really funny, funny ha, ha, IMHO, is my stomach will stick out farther than my chest
Strange, did ya say??? -
I'm there with you. Stomach sticks out further than the chest. I just think of myself as a very tall, female (Jewish) Buddha.
-
-
Said tongue in cheek and every where else.....so we can all be as brilliant as the lovely lass, Ms. Bachman:

-
-
-
Thanks for making me smile Blue but you need to watch yourself and get checked out do you hear.
Jackie, did you take a picture of my cat???

Alyson.....yes, I did and I think a good number of others as well. Cooler here today. I'm a bit tired as we had a 50th. birthday party last night for my SIL ( son ). Ate too much as usual. Thinking about my 50th. when I was blissfully pretty much un-affected by things like politics. Sigh !!!!!
Can't say back then that it was all that great(90's) but it is sooooo bad now, and was through all the Bush yrs. both father and son. The last five yrs. though Pres. Obama has had to scrabble for every inch he has made, have been for the most part, a huge breath of fresh air.
In fact, despite great amts. of Republican opposition, embarrassments, and the buffoonery of people like Palin the Pres. has prevailed with huge tact and diplomacy. Proud to say he is my President....always.

Speaking of stupid and embarrasments in the same sentence.....this one, along with Limbaugh, and Alex Jones...about all the same in my opinion.

-
Okay, fashionistas. I'm having a meltdown here. My new beau invited me to a bar mitzvah as his guest and I don't know what to wear. It'll have a theme though I don't know what that is yet.
Athena? Other people interested in fashion? HELP ME!
I'm 5'9" and about 140. I tend to favor sheaths because they're flattering to my body type. Any help is much appreciated. Without you guys, I'd end up in jeans or britches.
Blurgh!!!
E(normously inept at fashion!)
Edited to add: This is what I do NOT want:

-
Nor do I want this, because...ewwww...

-
I'm thinking something like this, but maybe it's too casual?
-
E .. beautiful Talbots dress. Just try it on to make sure the color won't wash you out. You can get a cute little 3/4 sleeve sweater to wear with it.
You're going to be beautiful ... no matter what you wear.
hugs,
Bren
-
E, I think the Talbot's dress looks great and not too casual. I know just what you mean about those frumpy country club cocktail frocks.
-
E - does it matter what time of the day it is??? Echo what others have said about the Talbot's dress - in bright sunlight, it could make you look "washed out."
Hope all are having a great day more thunderstorms for us - HUGE one yesterday, tornado warnings for western ma, but seems all ok. Scary to get those "alarm warnings" on radio.
Hi to Athena, hope you're doing well.
-
Well, the service is in the morning and I think, though am not sure, that the party is in late afternoon/early evening. I suspect it's indoors but I should know more about it tomorrow.
I have the same coloring as the model wearing the dress.
