E ... looking at the Talbots dress again ... you do indeed have the same coloring as the model.  It's a very pretty dress and will look very "springy" or "summery" on you.  I love the print. Do you have to wear something different to the morning service?

E ... I gave away all my corporate clothes too when I went into business for myself.  Now I have nothing to wear to a nice place!  No dresses or skirts left in the closet either.

E- Almost all bar mitzvah services will be in the morning, and services are long.  They run from around 9:30 to noon.  But lots of people get there around 10:30 or so.  Reform are usually about an hour.  Usually there's what's called a kiddish right after the service.  It's a snack, sometimes a full lunch.  Party is usually in the evening.  But people can change it up.

I'd wear a jacket or 3/4 sweater with whatever dress you choose to services and take it off for the party, since they don't seem to be orthodox.

Dead Penguins - I never knew this!

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica ?

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

Blue!!  I LOVED your thug kitchen link!! Hilarious (and still sounded right tasty ). 

The cup was gorgeous and would last all of about 30 seconds around me.  Glass and I aren't good playmates.

The rest of the pictures were great, as always. 

House gets inspected tomorrow morning - then we either move forward on the purchase or start looking again...

I'm pulling my hair out today on a project from one of my clients.  I have had to cancel appointments for today and tomorrow to get this project done.  It's a forensic report that needs to be filed with the court before 5 p.m. tomorrow.  I have a feeling we are barely going to make that deadline.  I've already got a headache or I'd pound my head on the desk right now!

g gumby - good luck on inspection - if there is any problem, I'm sure the owners would negotiate with you, rather than start the process all over again with someone else, who is gonna have an inspector who'll find the same thing, if there is a problem.

Have a feeling you'll be opening champers tomorrow night - happy bubbles.

BTW - anybody hear Sen. John McCain this am on Senate floor - the guy made sense - took on his own political party. Interesting.

E - you'll look boooootifull whatever you wear - seems Goodwill owes ya some good stuff if you do go there!

Tim's doing fine.  It's been a clusterf--k just getting him back to work.  The semi they assigned to him is broken.  arghhh.  He has to call tomorrow at 11 a.m. to see if it's fixed yet.  I am so stressed.

Well.....can't believe what I just heard on the Jodi Arias verdict.  The jury gave up and could not reach a unanimous verdict.  There was apparently one or more hold-outs.  In any case, there will be a new jury brought in later on since the verdict has been reached who will decide her penalty.  I'm shocked.  Was hoping as much as anyone that the family would finally get some justice.

That said.....I think she should get the death penalty.....but if she did she would live for years and years going through appeals.  The good part of that would be though that on death row you live in your cell alone for 23 hours a day.  You get out  ALONE again for one hr. to exercise.  I think she operates best when she has an audience to manipulate.....so I hate to see her get life.

Just to clarify.....I did not watch more than a few minutes on a hit and miss basis of the trial.  I got into it much deeper while waiting for the verdict and penalty phase. 

Sunny, I read about McCain and thought good for him.  I am of two minds on it --- but my best thought is that you can play to the crowd only so long -- and it is not so good when you can't score.  Eventually, you have to take a stand against the gross stupidity that is being displayed unless you don't mind continuing on to look as bad as the rest of your party. Hope he can keep it up.

Jackie, I take a different track with Jodi. I want her to live to a ripe old age, living with the knowledge that she took a life. His family will live with his loss forever. I want her to never be able to escape what she has done. I think life without any possibility of parole is what she deserves. Just my thoughts.
