Good Morning Everyone,
Blue you look so lovely. That's a great picture of you. I like your hair ... you're wearing longer than when I saw you last summer.
I spent the day with Brenda and her family at the hospital yesterday. She was doing better, until we overdid it. We spent too much time at the Children's Hospital playground with her granddaughters and by the time we got back to her room, she was crying in tears from the pain. They may let her leave tomorrow after she has her chemo.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday,
Bren

Blue - loved the dress - fabulous colour and cut - can't wait to see more pictures - your little man is soooo cute!
Glad the acupuncture is working somewhat - hate that you were in so much pain for so long - keeping everything crossed that it is the solution.
-
Brenda - glad you were there for Naniam and so sorry that she's having such a bad time. Good news that she'll be out of the hospital soon, she's lucky to have such a good friend.
-
Blue, you look beautiful! And your little guy is just soooo adorable! Almost as cute as my little guy!
So hope you get that pain under control soon. -
Thanks Sandy ... my emotions are all over the place. I had such happiness at getting to meet her entire family yesterday. We've been talking about them for years and I can finally put names to faces. But it was a long drive home and I got really sad. I miss her so much and feel so bad for her pain.
Miss you too Sandy,
hugs,
Bren

Blue, absolutely gorgeous! In addition to everything that's already been mentioned, I love the shape of your earrings. I'm sorry you were in pain.
Barbara, nice to hear you have other job prospects. I hope it turns out well for you.
Beesie, nice to see you came back to talk.
-
BLUE, BLUE, BLUE - gorgeous, stunning, what everybody said times a zillion!!!
I AM SO HAPPY YOU ARE SEEING AN ACUPUNCTURIST - doing a HAPPY DANCE for you. The effect is cumulative, my knees are jumpable now! SO HAPPY you are getting some relief - honest, it really IS cumulative, and will get better AND better....YEAH, BLUE!!!! gentle hugs ( in case you can't tell how happy I am for you to be seeing a good acupuncturist
) -
Blue, beautiful pic. Glad you are getting some relief from acupuncture. I wish my acupuncturist lived with me. I hope yours is hitting some of those relaxation point too.
-
Glad to hear about the acupuncturist and then REALLY happy after reading Sunflowers entry. I'm not sure I've known anyone who actually used that therapy properly ( as in going back enough times ) so hearing cumulative attached to it gives it a real bounce up. Happy acupuncturing for sure. Hurry Tuesday.

Waving to Sunflowers and her jumpable knees - I may have to consider this accupuncture stuff.
I just read an endorsement from North Carolina's Winston-Salem Journal for President Obama that I thought many here might enjoy. I read that they haven't endorsed a Democrat for President since Lyndon Johnson in 1964. I will include a little bit. You can read the rest at the link. Then if anybody wants to post a couple of more paragraphs they can:
http://www2.journalnow.com/news/2012/oct/14/obama-best-choice-president-ar-2689120/
"Four years ago on this page, we endorsed Republican U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona over Obama. We wrote that we were impressed with Obama, but McCain would “bring the Iraq war to a successful conclusion, work to end American dependence on foreign oil, reduce America's output of climate-changing gases and begin the rebuilding of our economy.”
The Democratic president has done all those things and more. He is calm under pressure and courageous in standing up for the rights of all Americans, including the poor, veterans, the elderly, women, gays and immigrants. In contrast, we’ve sometimes found it hard in the last few weeks to tell just what Obama’s challenger, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, really stands for."
-
Barbara - tried reaching you - no luck. Hang in there.
Blue, nice to see you resurface. You look so happy, and your little guy is too adorable. That's great that you are getting some back relief.
Lewing - I'm glad it went well.
As for movies? I almost never leave the house for one. The last one I went to see on the big screen was a Canadian documentary, "Pink Ribbon Inc." Quite good.
-
Blue, so good to see you. You do NOT look fat - not even close. You look wonderful - and what a beautiful necklace.
-
Sure Blue, a walking tub of lard you are [insert eyeroll]. You look great and the dress is gorgeous too

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, the outspoken Pennsylvania centrist whose switch from Republican to Democrat ended a 30-year career in which he played a pivotal role in several Supreme Court nominations, died Sunday. He was 82.Specter, who announced in late August that he was battling cancer, died at his home in Philadelphia from complications of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, said his son Shanin. Over the years, Arlen Specter had fought two previous bouts with Hodgkin's disease, overcome a brain tumor and survived cardiac arrest following bypass surgery.
RIP Senator Specter - you were one of the last Republicans that worked with the other side. Ousted by one of the new breed obstructionist Tea Partiers..... -
Sad news. I hadn't heard the news that he'd been diagnosed with NHL after his previous bouts of Hodgkin's disease.
It brings back memories of a dear friend who also battled both diseases, and who I've missed every day for the last ten years.
Have I said lately how much I hate cancer?
Linda
-
This one's tough for me. Even when he was a Republican I had a soft spot for Senator Specter, as a fellow lymphoma patient. He could also be extremely nice.
-
Linda, I guess in some ways there are none so blind as those who are so afraid of the truth..............which will in one way or other set you free. I have felt great sorrow for many there who are so into personally ripping apart our President that they don't want to know TRUE un-biased factual material. It is sad for what seems like otherwise quite intelligent people to squander the opportunity to rise above themselves and what looks like gross desperation to me and find TRUE facts and then present the best argument from the heart that they have. But it just seems the continual one-upmanship of ..... get a load of this.........which in fact appears constantly seems to leave no room at all for one to use fact. The rote of bashing behavior is non-stop and removes all aura of true intelligence which I know is there. Being incapable of doing an honest assessment of something your candidate has done or perhaps omitted doesn't change it. It will still be there for the world to see and all the rote recitals in the world, though it may make you feel good won't do much of nothing for your candidate since we are the ones seeing it.

This is how "True the Vote" people really feel (from a Tweet):
Voting should NEVER be "easy" or "convenient". Ease and convenience are the gateway drugs of election fraud. #OneManOneVote #TrueTheVote
Here is one Twiter reponse:
#truethevote. Self appointed voter zars and bullies. Stand firm voters know your rights!
**********************
btw, it has been discovered that Nathan Sproul and Karl Rove have the same business address. Recall Nathan Sproul, a highly paid Republican Operative whose company was hired to register voters who is trailed by voter fraud: Complaints have surfaced in 10 Florida counties, among them allegations that registrations had similar signatures or false addresses, or were filed under the names of dead people. In other cases, party affiliations appeared to have been changed.
In recent days, similar claims against Mr. Sproul have arisen in Nevada and Colorado. Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and Sproul’s Strategic Alliance Consulting both share the same address.45 North Hills Drive

Yep, its the same old same old; wash, rinse, repeat. Gotta feel sorry for the total way this election seems to have consumed their lives.
Here's a Sunday aftrnoon snicker I picked up on FB.

Blue...a keeper if I ever saw one.

RR, thanks for the link to the W-S paper article. Being a native of NC, I've been pretty upset about some news from there. This is a step in the right direction.
-
Too funny!
I kinda like my new name for Romney/Ryan, Idjuts R squared! I crack myself up somtimes!
-
Notself - the brickwall video....it's as if Joe Biden watched that clip before the debate. Too cool.
-
Sad news about Specter. I always liked him (even when he was a Republican).
What adorable little pup and kitty!
-
Another from my family tree:

Chico...our Puggle who is almost 9 yrs. old.
We go him from Chicago where " Chico and The Man " was filmed so of course, he is a Puerto Rican dog.

Awwwww, Jackie, he's totally precious! Is he a Pug + Poodle (?), but if so where's the curly hair?
-
I'm loving all the family pix! I need to get busy and post some of my little man Forrest and his mommy Peaches!
Blue, I'm a little late to the oooh & aaah party, but woman, you are a knockout! Gorgeous dress, gorgeous woman! I'm so sorry to hear that your back was hurting you so much, but glad to hear that acupuncture worked. Fingers crossed for cumulative effect!
Sorry to hear that Arlen Specter died. I liked him for a long time, but was very angry with him at how he treated Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas hearings, so I have mixed feelings about his career. He did manage to work across the aisle most of the time, though.
Stiff and sore from working in the yard today ... fitting end to our vacation! I'll be walking like a cowboy tomorrow!
Hugs to all -- have I told you lately, ladies, how much I appreciate you? Well, I do!
