The pressure test has really changed. There isn't even a puff of air now. They test my vision with contacts and with galsses but I only know what the first line of the test is without glasses from experience (an E in the US-is it the same everywhere?) not because I can see it.
I am being watched for glaucoma too and more closely because I am so nearsighted. The visual field test is awful. Kids who play video games all the time are the only ones who are comfortable with it, or so I'm told.
What I really hate is having to see the optometrist once a year and the opthomologist twice. At least they are in the same practice so my eye exams wih the optemotrist only cost $40 because he knows the ophthalmologist is doing so much.
ETA: So many typos, so little time. Sorry y'all.
-
I don't mind any of the tests - didn't even remember some until reading this just now. I just mind the fact that every time I get lenses, they have to be ordered specially because my eyes are so bad. Meaning, I can't just go, get lenses, and continue with my life. I see the eye doctor every two or three years - too lazy to go more often.

Athena
You're right. It is a giant PITA to have to make a second trip to pick up lenses and last time he forgot to order the samples, I forgot to call about them for almost two weeks. When I did call they were there in two days but then I had to make the trip to go get them, see if the change made a difference (it didn't), call back, order more and go pick them up. All I want to do is see.

Strange occurrence today - started to feel dizzy at work. We were moving desks yet again so I thought it might be the smell of the spray cleaner. My little chinese sidekick helped me move again - he is such a sweet boy. He found me on the floor under my desk unplugging my computer and he goes "Sue ,Sue - I'll do that". Absolutely crazy - we are now back in the same desks where we were 3 weeks ago.
I ended up going home sick. I don't seem to notice the dizziness anymore but I don't feel 100% well - might be over tired. We went out last night to a football match dinner and the battered fish made me feel awful - like they needed to change their oil or something. Or it might be all of those pschyotropic drugs I'm taking - you know I heard Super Krill Oil can really affect your behaviour.
-
LOL!
Hope you feel better, susie.

Hi Everyone!
I've been busy mowing. And wishing I lived in a condo instead of having all these acres to mow.
Mary .. I am so happy for you. What great news. I know waiting on the results is so stressful.
Susie .. Hope you feel better soon.
hugs,
Bren

Oh, the JOY JOY JOY of boring...we should make up a Drinking Song about it?
Anybody here sew? I just bought my first Sewing Machine! So excited - Janome S500, mechanical, easy, 25 stitches kind of thing.
I need ADVICE on good books - believe it or not, I DO HAVE the 1981 Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing whihc I bought in 1981. It's very techy - several book suggested on Amazon, but was wondering what somebody who SEWS would suggest?
My main plan at the moment, is to sew Flax Linen Flood pants. Which were about $25 when I started buying them years ago, and are now about $70. Silly. They're baggy like pj's with side pockets on seam, elastic waist. Gotta be able to "master" that - in many fabrics. As mine wear out in the inner thigh ( yes, rubbing, fat, whatever) I 'patch' them, and some of my patches now have patches, but they do for gardening pants.
Speaking of gardening, I don't want to say this toooooo loudly, but the sun has been out most of today...shhhhh...alll my tomatoe plants are now planted...

Glad that we've all been so boooooring lately!

Mary - great news!!!!
I do feel better now, can't really have today off as it's my last day of work - we go to see the new baby on Monday. I'm looking forward to having 9 days away. Can't wait to go to a few wineries and send some home. The city where our DD lives is Australia's premium wine growing region

-
Yum - I've had some good Aussie wines in my time.
-
Mary - YAAAAAY!!!!!
