Sunflowers-That is exactly what would happen if she showed up, but alas, she didn't-it was yesterday. Maybe next year.........I have asked her to go just for me and her dad, but she's still angry with me for sharing her troubles with others.

Bren, what's up with the job?
This chick is a tired chick. Sucks getting up at 5:30 and getting to the office at 7. Plus the extra gas. $. Jeez. -
Still waiting for DD to send me pics of THE dress. My mom is getting around with her walker and is as happy as can be. A year ago today I had my DBS surgery.
-
Just got back from our work breakfast - yummy. I wonder what's for dessert

Very tired today - I wonder if it's the tablets I got yesterday.
Blue - good to hear your Mum is OK.

The dress is about 5 sizes too big for her and the pictures do it no justice. It has some delicate bling around the neckline and waist, and buttons all the way to the end of the train.
-
I can tell it's elegant. Wow!!! Beautiful. Did she have to try on lots before that one got the nod??
Linda--love the looks of that recipe. I'm going to have to make it!
-
Wow, Blue! It still looks awesome!
-
Morning folks. Off to the hated job. Ugh!
-
Blue,
Awesome dress. Make sure they under bustle it. Over bustles are the easy way out and dont look as nice.
-
She must have tried on 50 dresses. When she tried this one we all went "WOW". And there were 5 of us in the audience. You're right sewingnut. She wants that flow. It is delicate french lace.
-
Gorgeous, Blue! Amazing!
-
OMG - gorgeous, just gorgeous, elegant - every word I can think of that incudes WOW. Just WOW!
Mary... NEXT YEAR. But, I hope she will understand your "sharing" your own experience of such deep emotional pain, to get support from the most natural place to ask for and receive support , was for you as well as for her. I can't remember who said it, but paraphased, "troubles shared are troubles diminshed" -or something like that. Maybe she feels some kind of shame, which is somehow( in my little mind) related to false pride. Forgiveness of Self sees to be the most difficult lesson, and usually the first step in being able to forgive others. I hope you all have a wonderful peaceful and healing New Year. Don't we all wish we knew when we were younger, what we know now about human nature.....

Blue the dress is beautiful.
So glad the quiches are done. I had to make 5 of them. Got the cookies done as well.
-
Blue - dress is beautiful (so is DD) - can't wait to see wedding pictures (when is that?)
Today is Christmas volunteer lunch and then Onc appointment with results - I've been taking Ativan everyday since Saturday - I could do without all this "ceremony" - why can't they just scan then phone instead of waiting to get "all their ducks in a row" - wish some of the players were in our shoes then things might change - too much to hope for.
-
Hugs, Sandy!! Fingers crossed for an oh-so-boring day!
-
Sandy - more votes for BORING. Here's my cynicism showing - when we go into the office, we get charged ( or our insurance does) for an office visit. BORING, BORING, BORING news on the way.
-
Sandy's gonna be oh so BORING!
-
(((Sandy))) - We KNOW how you are feeling, but the chances of clear scans are excellent! Enjoy your lunch, go to your appt and then be sure to bring us back your boring <yawn> results!
-
Sandy-fingers crossed for boring!
Blue-the dress is beautiful!
Thanks, Sunflowers for your words of wisdom.I know things will get better, someday.....I have to believe that.
Mary
PS-Anyone heard from 3monstmama? She had her oopherecotmy(I'm sure I spelled that wrong) last Friday.
-
Blue the dress is absolutely gorgeous!!
-
Mary -- 3mons is at home recovering from successful surgery, and dealing with her own mom who is going through chemo.
Blue -- Beautiful dress, she's going to look absolutely stunning!
-
Hi Everybody!
Mary .. I am so sorry your daughter didn't go to church with you. I hope by next year she comes to her senses.
Blue . The dress is so beautiful. Your daughter looks so lovely in it.
Sandy ... I'm keeping you in my thoughts today and hoping for "unremarkable" on the scans!
I just picked up Winston's ashes from the vet. He's up on the counter with my beloved Bobo .. they're together once again. I sure do miss them both.
I also dropped off the application and my resume at the County building. I tried to look professional and like I was the best candidate for the job. Won't hear anything until after the 1st of the year.
Hope everyone is having a good day,
hugs,
Bren

Blue........don't come here to often, even though I have this as one of my favorites.......................had to tell you, your daughter's dress is beautiful.......................really flattering, and looks beautiful on her............I have 3 daughters, and must say the "gown" part was so much fun.
However, 2 of my 3 daughters wore my wedding gown...................and one got married on my 25th Anniversary ..................the 3rd, could not wear it...............she was too tall 5ft. 7in, so I got to go with her to pick out her gown................by that point her father had died, and since he was not going to be there, me feeling bad, let her have whatever her heart desired.
I thought she had been cheated of her father, so she deserved something extra special...........the sad thing was she was going to push her wedding up by3 years so he could be there...........I decided it was not a good idea, and she listened, so I was not going to say "NO" to anything else...................before he died, he told her "I won't be there to walk yo down the aisle............but I will be there...........I promise....................and while the ceremony was going on, a "white butterfly", fluttered all around the altar, and eventually landed on her veil......................I knew he was there, then, and so did she............good luck, and enjoy, she is your little girl................forever............hugs.
-
Wow Ducky~ that gave me chills...
-
Ducky - that's lovely. I remember at my Dad's funeral I looked out and saw a butterfly and thought that he was there with us.
-
Well folks you were right BORING, BORING, BORING!!!!!!! I have, however, gained 14 pounds - onc. was happy, PCP won't be and I would like to not have to buy new jeans AGAIN so after January 1 it's back on South Beach for a couple of months - good thing about my height no one ever notices the weight gain (I do though). Thanks again for all your support and friendship - you are all the best!
-
Yey Sandy - wonderful news!!
Lovely dress, Blue. Can't wait to see the pictures on the wedding day.
Bren, hoping your job hunt yields some results - ugh. Who doesn't HATE looking for jobs.
Lindasa - say hello to 3monst - I wish she would post more.
-

-
