Anywhere in Camden Yards is fine by me! I will wear my Rays hat. How cool is that? My Rays and your O's just happen to be playing when I am there!!

I KNOW!  I'll wear my O's stuff even though they don't stand a chance.  Oh well, it's baseball and that's all that matters!

Barb and E ... sounds like a fun time!  Wish I could go too!  You guys will have a blast.

Barbara .. thanks so much for driving all weekend, and Ann for navigating!  It was so nice just to get in the back seat and not have to worry about driving or directions.

Enjoyful .. your tag line is cracking me up!

    hugs,

    Bren

I was gonna make a comment about Rays and the big "O" but thought better of it.  hehehhehehe!

I'm feeling better today, but can't believe it's over.  The doggies are still tired though!

E your tagline is cracking me up too.

Lassie was really interested in Santa Fe as well.  Would probably need to fly into Albuquerque. (sp).

Barbara .. you rock as a roomie!  Thanks for all the coffee deliveries!

Blue .. you're cracking me up!  The big O.  ha! The code word is 'nap.'  I'm glad you're feeling better today.  I was worried about you.  It was a whole lot of walking we did.  You and Ray spoiled me rotten and now I'm back to reality!.

Good news though ... I  have four very big reports to do today so it's keeping me from missing everyone so much, cause I'm busy.

Sunday night was so bittersweet when it was time to say goodbye .. and again at the airport on Monday a.m.

I really miss all that hugging!!!!

    love to all,

    Bren

I'd love the code too.  I saw it in the other thread earlier but didn't write it down, now wishing I had because it was nice to put names to faces.  I'm still jealous, but glad you all had such a nice time.

E - Barbara, would you be able to meet on the 16th?

Also, HL - what's up re: surgery?

Susie, sorry your send-off from London wasn't that great, but hope you are having a wonderful time.

I'm not getting the code talk. :)

Sure I can meet you. Say, lunch? I am at the Marriot Inner Harbor, carless. Somewhere near there? I have no idea where Hopkins is.

R-R wish you could have come, lots of rivers there. Sunflowers, PM the mods and they will send you the pic with the names!

    Athena,

Surgery is on as scheduled.  I wrote a big long post on the DIEP 2011 thread just now about my last visit to my PS before surgery.  This guy is AWESOME.  He spent 1-1/2 hours with me this morning just answering all my other questions.  The highlights:  he does a full cosmetic tummy-tuck with this, just as if I were having it as elective cosmetic surgery.  He will not be happy until I am happy.

My arms will be out to the side, not above my head -- a concern I had since I have chronic tendinitis and bursitis in my right shoulder that would put me back into months of physical therapy if aggravated like that.

I will still have a waist, my belly will be flat, and he will take care of the extra rolls of fat at my sides under my arms, too.  He wants me to be happy.

He will experiment with me on the pain meds, since I am so susceptible to them -- we had a very nice conversation about that.  This guy doesn't think he knows everything about everyone -- he views our relationship as a partnership.  He ROCKS!

Next step is type and crossmatching for blook on Friday.  Monday I will see him for marking (I asked him if he was going to draw a moustache and he said no, he was more of a goatee guy!).  And then Tuesday will be D(IEP) Day.

Enjoyful will be at the hospital along with DH, so she can keep everyone updated.  It will be a very long surgery, since it is microsurgery -- he said probably more than 12 hours.  Surgery is scheduled for 7:30 a.m., with a 6 am report time for SNB.

And NOTL was FAB.  And Apple, I think we all gave Yan big hugs.  I think mine was so big I might've scared him!  It was so wonderful to see him there!

Apple, many hugs were given and received in all directions!

Endless thanks to our lovely hostess and host, Lindasa and Mr. Sa!  Such a beautiful home (but of course! being the home of two beautiful people!)!

And to Yan, Cookiegal and BarbaraA for their camera-work!  And to everyone, for delicious contributions to the potluck, and for the pleasure of your wonderful company!  And to Sas-Schatzi, for your very touching words about Konakat -- your note was perfect ♥.

Athena, re the code talk - just wanted the names to go with the faces on the picture.  They were displayed in another thread earlier today but then taken down due to security concerns.  I see now that we can PM the Mods so I'll be doing that.

HL, I'm glad you had such a nice appointment with your PS.  Sounds like you've got a gem.

Blue, I hope the fence gets installed and you can get those roses in the ground soon.

Everybody, I've been engaged in early Fall cleaning, unfortunately still have a lot left.  I'm tired, my brain is fried and I can't think of a thing for dinner....hoping DH calls and offers to pick something up, but that's doubtful.  Any ideas?

Edited to try to fix my incoherence.

Thanks, Blue.  That is a possibility, although I'm still hoping for that phone call from DH.  I'm too tired to cook.

Why in the world do I let myself accumulate so much stuff when I know I'm going to end up having to sort through it all and get rid of half of it later anyway?!  Maybe I should look for that hoarder thread I've seen in active topics a time or two.

Wow, HL, you seem to have found a surgeon with the best of the best bedside manners and one who has obviously instilled much confidence in you.  Wonderful to find a surgeon who wants to work in partnership with the patient!  So glad Enjoyful is going to be there with DH, to give us updates!  Hope she has a satchel big enough for us to all crowd into while we're all waiting!

HL, how cool that you have a doctor who rocks!

Blue, the wine tasting excursion was a blast but my icewine is coming to moi! I will share, however, if folks should choose to make the trip to FL.

I went to the onc today for the usual vampire bloodletting and visit,  and the eye-rolling weirdo HUGGED me???? Wow, he said he was happy I am doing so well on my natural estrogen suppression regime. Go figure. Knock me over with a feather. I take back all the mean stuff I said about him. Now the other one, the radonc, never.

Here is the lovely picture of the Pizza puttanesca. Mmmm and Hmmmm.
