Thanks, Karen. Wish you were coming. We need to meet up again. I will be in Ft Myers on Aug 30-Sep 1. Maybe we could meet half way or something.

Dinner is a pork roast that I sliced into one long thin slab then I added stuffing I made with hot sausage, mushrooms and onions and rolled it back up. It is roasting now with a bit of sherry in the pan to keep it moist. YUM. Mashed potatoes, green beans and voila.

ritaz - rant coming!!!  I am s surprised onc's are passing out Effexor like M&M's for hot flashes - must be a reaction to being so WRONG WRONG about Paxil.  It CAN be a notoriously difficult drug for many people -e ven those who CAN tolerate it, have KNOWN problems going OFF the drug.  Even tapering off slowly as one HAS to do, can be a bummer!  Real bumer!!!!

Just wish onc's would look more seriously at the problem of Hot Flashes - and not just reach for the Effexor cuz there isn't much else in their current arsenal to load the gun with!

Have you tried Acupunture?????  It ended my neuropathy, and then ALL the joint pain from Arimidex.  I do swear by it.  Think it's wort a try for almost everything. PM me if you want to rant!!!!

    And I am 30-18!

    Math is fun. :-D

Cindy, why do pharmacists and doctors always sense when we're at a low, and then call in wrong doses just to mess with us?  Glad you at least got an emergency supply.   (((Cindy)))

Okay kids .. I've been nursing a migraine all day ... arghhh.

Going to turn in early so I can be up with the chickens to get ready in the a.m.

I don't have a laptop, so I'll have to rely on my roommate to post some notes from me!

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

    hugs,

    Bren

Okay, I had a thought(Don't call CNN-it isn't that big of news). Does anyone think that I could be nauseous because I went off Femara two weeks ago?The nausea started a week to 10 days ago. It isn't terrible but it is always there.

I was wondering if the nausea I had last week is because I am on Femara (and have been for two years).

Oh boy - so sorry to see so many of us suffering because of treatment for x or y. I sometimes wonder about modern medicine. The more I know, the more I prefer surgery... I am this close to turning to alchemy.

Susie -welcome to the Western world - lol! You are sound asleep as I write this. Hope your jet lag wears off soon and that you start enjoying your day.

HL - too bad you won't be able to join us in Baltimore. BTW, let us locals know all about your hospital visit preferences. 12 hours surgery - that's nasty! Almost as bad as a domestic flight through Atlanta. :)

Bren - hope you wakeup without a migraine - OUCH - not now, not now...

Rosemary - I think ANY major change to our hormones, starting OR stopping - shakes up our systems.  since I've been taking Arimidex, I find if I feel nauseous, it's because I haven't eaten anything in too long.  Sometimes just little "nibbles" of bread, very bland food, can help settle my stomach.

Kinda funny to think now of Susie being 6 hours ahead of us!

Athena - hope you're getting some good, sound, sleep.

I'm off to bed - sweet dreams everyone heading to NOTL - everybody else too.
