This is getting insane! It seems to me that Blue is being targeted for some reason. People, if you don't like what Blue has to say, please put her on "ignore'!!! I have several people on ignore. STOP REPORTING POSTS THAT DO NOT BREAK THE RULES!!!!
To all our new friends, a great big welcome!
-
oh Blue!
"lobotomy! lobotomy! lobotomy! lobotomy!"
not meant as commentary, just sitting around singing the Ramones to myself. . . . .
"twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go, I wanna be sedated!
nothin' to do-no where to go-o-oh , I want to be sedated!
just get me to the airport put me on the plane
Hurry Hurry Hurry before I go insane
I can't control my fingers, I can't control my brain
Oh no no no no no"
It was either sing the Ramones or the wish I was an Oscar Mayer Wiener song. . . .
-
I agree it does seem like blue is being targeted.

Some dessert for Summertyme and all of us to share:
-
mmmm, we used to go to the neatest ice cream place when we lived in LA. The owner made different flavors every day--amazing stuff like strawberries with balsamic, white chocolate black sea salt, chili mango, white russians, peanut butter cup,. . . .he also did vegan flavors to die for. . . .
Now Him, him I miss!
oh dear, I'm discussing food again. . . is that bullying? or just rude because I have some and you don't?????
-
Ann....Clusterfluff flavor, hmmm have never tried it. But speaking of ice cream we recently got Blue Bell ice cream in our grocery stores. Love the Pralines and Carmel! I think it has become an addiction. Have to keep it out of the house or I will keep eating it until it is all gone.

I'm so tired of cancer. I hate it. My cousin, who is like my sister, was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
My dear friend that I went through treatment with at the same time is having a biopsy tomorrow.
You can suck down all the herbs and grass you want, but it isn't going to save you from cancer. All the meditating in the world isn't going to save you from cancer. It's not the flu, it's not like getting diabetes ... it kills people and ruins families.
I'm so discouraged.
Bren
PS .. I don't even think Ben & Jerry's can cheer me up.
-
I've never tried Clusterfluff either -- just saw it in the store on Saturday night for the first time!
PhishFood has been my downfall lately -- really do need to cut it out! Just had linguini with broccoli with a tiny bit of olive oil and garlic, and a grilled chicken breast. Trying to stop there for the night!
-
((((Bren)))) I'll be OK. Better the biopsy than not knowing there is anything in there to be concerned about.
Love you!
L
-
hey BinVa !!!!
(((hugs)))
I'm sorry you are in a rough spot.
-
Bren, maybe some cookies? Those good Keebler ones like Samoas? And more hugs! I'm so sorry about your cousin, too ... sometimes it seems that everyone we know has cancer. (((((Bren)))))
-
(((((((Bren)))))))
-
Oh Bren, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. Sending cyberhugs.
-
Thanks you guys .. it helped a lot just being able to share a little bit. My cousins name is Carol and we grew up together.
I'll know more soon as they she has more tests in the coming days.
Okay .. maybe the ice cream does help. I just had a Klondike ice cream sandwich!
Bren
-
I just thought the name of that new flavor was appropriate -- "Clusterfluff."
-
I wasn't kidding last week when I said I had the last two Klondike Heath ice cream bars for dinner (the day before I had the entire bag of Hershey's miniatures minus the Special Darks I'm going to save for Ang7). Klondike bars are good medicine.
Edited to add: Yes, Ann, entirely appropriate!
-
"Clusterfluff" what a funny name .. it's pretty close to my next favorite saying!
Bren
-
OOh Klondikes, regular or krispie? I may be dating myself but I grew up with Isaly's and skyscraper cones. We took Klondikes home for later :0)
-
Mine were Heath. I hid them from DH since he pleads with me not to bring ice cream home!
-
Oh yes. Entirely! I have references!
-
Sewingnut .. you're here! I'm so happy to see you!
Welcome!
Bren
-
Wrapping cyber arms around Libby and Bren and Cindy and anybody else dealing with not so good things right now ... squeezing gently.
LOL Ann ... I love that ice cream name. It reminds me of something but I just can't remember exactly what it is.
Obviously somebody(s) felt it necessary to create more work for the Mods again. After spending all day cleaning up the weekend's mess I suspect they are not going to be real appreciative.
summertyme is a very nice name though ... a rose by any other name and all that.
Welcome sewingnut! If you can actually sew things I admire you. My Mom was good at it and she tried to teach me but I foolishly blew her off. I can hem and sew on buttons but that is about it.

LOBOTOMY
LOBOTOMY
LOBOTOMY
And my personal fave
Better a frontal lobotomy than a bottle in front of me
Oops maybe that's the other way around
But not today today is a lobotomy day
-
I thought that was "better a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy..."
although if you consume too many bottles, the distinction may turn out to have been a false dichotomy!!!
-
Not today Ann
-
Oh and clusterfluff ice cream reminds me of what went on this weekend
For all you dirty minds out there Saturday was my DH's birthday

Memo to self: Do NOT read favorite BCO thread while walking home after strenuous workout at club with no food in belly. OR move in with Lindasa, whose menus are to die for.
HappyLibby: What's this I hear about a biopsy??!! PM me if you prefer. Bloody hell!
Blue reported again - meaning, we've got guests (rhymes with the word pests -and this is strictly a diction tutorial, of course). And, sad to say, the mods don't care. If no one believes me, see what little will happen. Also, on about page 150 of this thread, Melissa actually suggested that those of us here move over to Facebook. They really don't care. They do the minimum, which is reinstate (and hopefully we will have Blue back soon). But I think they decided that, on a cost benefit analysis, we don't bring BCO money (except when we donate - ahem, ahem) and the cancer threads do.
On chemo: there is no cure for cancer and the jury is out on many treatments, so flexibility is needed. However, lies and manipulation, regardless of the topic, are never welcome. If there is indeed room for all points of view on BCO, please respect ours and respect this thread. Oh, this is to no one in particular, of course.

Holy crapoly. I go away and what happens. Blue getting deleted for a word WE ALL AGREED on to use to defuse tense situations. Poop on these newcomers (oldtimers) who are running amok.
Did 'Painting with a Twist' tonight. You bring wine and appetizers and at 7-9 you are shown how to paint a picture with acrylics. Here is the pic I was supposed to paint followed by what I did paint.

Barbara - you are really good! That must be fun.
-
You did good ... I actually like yours better!!! Was it the wine or do you have artistic talents?
