-
Cherie...I am so very sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you, and hoping this news won't have a bad effect on your problems. Try and keep looking after yourself as best you can, after news like this. I have just got to my computer...such a shock, hate to think of you sitting there being so upset.
I can't go back...you know what happens!...but I'm sure you said you got to speak to your sister last week. I hope so. I am sure each and everyone of us has you in our thoughts.
Much love and hugs.
Isabella.

thank you so much, all of you, for your warm thoughts and prayers my way. you'll never know how much it means to me
yes, Isabella, you're right. we spoke when she was able to a week ago, and we both had accepted that we would probably not get to see each other again on this earth. im imagining her with my mum and dad, and at peace.
i've been keeping drs. appts.. 3, this wk, to get to the bottom of my health issues.. , but, that's ALL i've been able to do, for now. another dr."blew me off" today, i went off on him, and had to explain, but thy're no help, it seems. off to get cultures again today for the MRSA. they just won't give me a strong enough antibiotic w/out the "proof" of a culture. so, today, its' fluids, and next wk, if need be, a biopsy on my skin. last time they wasted this much time, i ended up in ICU.. id like NOT to this time, its all so frustrating..
thank you again for your kindnesses, ladies... you'll never know how dear you are to me..3jays

{{{Hugs}}}. to 3jays. A beautiful poem.
-
{{{3jays}}} Praying they get to the bottom of the infection.
-
3jays - You are in my thoughts everyday, I hope you are finding some peace with the absence of your sister and I wish the drs. would really listen to you and find out what the right treatment should be to get you better.
-
3jays, I'll be praying that they can get the right treatment for you to get rid of this infection. I can imagine how frustrating this is, and no, we surely don't want you to wind up in ICU this time. Looks like they never learn. You surely don't need this right now.

Morning folks! Looking forward to the weekend and the massage I am getting at 4PM. Yes!
-
Good morning ladies, I am getting ready to spend another day with 3 of my granddaughtersl They were so much fun to be with in the pool last evening, but I sure was tired last night. I even slept in this morning until 7:00 a.m. Which is rather late for me. I think I will get DH up and head down to breakfast. I will try to get some pictures posted as soon an I can. Hope everyone has a joyous day and a restful weekend.
-
Barb, Massage, eh....does a glass of champagne and strawberries go along with that? Enjoy!
-
Well, the massage was great! Today we are meeting friends for brunch and I think eggs benedict is on my agenda. Plan to spend the day floating in the pool then dinner with another friend. Oh and maybe a couple of cocktails.
-
Barb, Are you living the American dream or what? Your life sounds like a vacation. I don't even like eggs benedict and now I am craving them.
-
Barb, I second that!!! Sounds like fun!! I live in Orlando and would love to hook up with someone in the area for some beach fun! My two daughters and I love the beach. Save some eggs benedict for us!
-
PM me next time you head Pinellas way. I live in Treasure Island.
-
BarbA - Glad you are enjoying the weekend! You work so hard and put up with so much at you job that you definately deserve all the relaxation and fun you can find on the weekends. Love you my sweet friend.
-
I am enjoying my time in Oklahoma with my daughter #2 and the 3 granddaughters and DSIL. DD has not made me crazy yet which is unusual and the girls are growing up so fast and have been such fun to be with. We went shopping today and got the oldest granddaughter some new clothes since she has out grown everything. We got 2 skirts, 3 shirts, 2 pair of flip flops, one for the pool and one for church. She is 11 yrs old, is 5' 5 1/2" tall and wears a size 10 1/2 shoe! We spent this evening cleaning out her closet and dresser drawers to remove all the things that are too small and put the new things up. I may have to send her some new shorts as she only has 3 pair that fit. DD was so surprised that we got the whole room cleaned up! GD did all of the cleaning, I just held the trash bags while we talked and she cleaned. It was a good time for both of us. I kind of wish we had made plans to stay longer, but my next treatment is on Tuesday so we fly back to NC on Monday so I can get a little rest before I get my next treatment.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

AmyJo, So glad your pain is under control and that you are getting to spend some quality time with the grandchildren. It looks like it it going to be a beautiful day here so I want to work in the yard.....who knows maybe I will be up to doing an outdoor party this year as I used to every year.
-
AJ, so glad the pain is being managed now. Hugs for you, gal pal!
Marybe, I see another day at the pool in my future. It will be 91 today but at least it is not 90% humidity.
I see there is an area of 'activity' in the Caribbean. Sheesh. It starts! The hurricane season runs from June until October but usually nothing much until August. I hope this year is kind to Florida. 2004 was a doozy. Hurricane Frances almost blew me off my dock. I had planted a foxtail palm tree a couple months before and the wind had it listing toward my big picture window across the pool. So I go out, grab a rope from the dock piling and am trying to tie the tree off to the piling. A huge gust of wind had my legs straight out behind me while I am hanging on to the piling for dear life. Scared the cr@p out of me.
-
Marybe - don't overdo it with the gardening.
BarbA - I too hope this season is kind to all of us. I am glad you were not blown away in the storm, cause then I would not have met you!
DD and her family will be by soon to pickus up for churh this morning. I am assuming that it will be loud as she said thry hand out earplugs if you are going into the service! This should be interesting. Everyone have a great Sunday. Amy Jo

At our Relay for Life yesterday there was a booth set up for Casting for Recovery. I'd never heard of it; it's a retreat for breast cancer patients & survivors where you learn how to flyfish (no cost)!!! Anyway the website is www.castingforrecovery.org Anyhoo I thought perhaps some spirited and lively older women might want to check it out. Sounds fun.
