Now to post what is going on. I went to the doctor today, I am sick with the crud, but worse than that, I haven't been on scales in a while an back in November the Onco increased my Tamoxifen well apparently it is causing me to gain weight like crazy lately and I am now up to 170 lbs per the doctor scales on my scales I am up to 166 lbs either way I've gained. I don't know what to do to get it off. Help me please if you have or are taking Tamoxifen now how are you losing weight.

I also have gotten on the scale today and the weight is climbing fast and furious. I think it's my femara and the lexapro I'm on. AND, I've been so busy that I haven't been able to exercise as usual. I really limited my food intake today during the conference I was speaking at so I'm hoping that helps. No mid afternoon snack, no bagel for breakfast (eggs instead) and I ate the inside fixings of the wrap they served and stayed away from the tortilla. Hope it helps.

I have the wagon ready Ladies.
Day 11 Im still sitting and waiting all by myself.
I have yogurt, 11 almonds for each, water
We can do this
-
suz...thats a good start my friend. You are going to the right direction.
-
Happy birthday Meece! Hope the year ahead is filled with many blessings!
-
Sheila, isn't that the wagon in which the condemned were taken to the gibbet? Doesn't bode well for us! Nah, not really - maybe a Conestoga. I'm exercising and drinking; not doing too badly with food - it will be interesting to weigh in on Friday.
Hoppity Bird-day Meece.
-
How about this one?
-
Thank you all for the Birthday wishes!
DH took me out and I was a bad girl. We shared a "3-cheese garlic toast" and I had a filet topped with mushrooms and blue cheese, a loaded potato and roasted asparagus, followed up by a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream. I will need to be exercising without stop until Friday to work off that mess! But it was my birthday.
-
Meece... Oh my gosh that sound soooo good!! especially since I've had a sore throat and have only been eating ice cream, liquids and soup. lol! Hopefully my darling hubby will take me out for some good food like that while we are in Nashville this weekend.
I know ladies it's not on a diet list but my birthday is coming up on Sunday and we only get to have that once a year.
Have a great day and Sheila I love the AI site! Thanks for starting it!!!!

Renee - I too am taking tamoxy and not loosing weight.
I'm not gaining either, though. It is terribly frustrating.
I'm sure it is the tamoxy+lucrin.
Today I am not eating any carbs. I'm trying to make up for what I ate yesterday... I'm too ashamed to tell
.
I sure need to MOVE MORE.
-
Renee....I didn't really start the AI thread I just participate.
Feel Better
This morning I took my last FEMARA.
Now I'm curios if loosing weight will be little easier and my extended tummy will shrink.
Just wishing.
I was starving last night and I had 2 almonds and chewed them forever. LOL
Not a pleasant day to walk.
-
The day here is not exercise weather. It has been sprinkling constantly. I am trying to do some "powere cleaning" to burn calories.
-
I vacuumed.
I cleaned the file cabinet. (half of it)
Is this considered exercise?
For over 2 hours my arms were moving because I dont have a shredder.
Its a lousy day I couldn't go out.
-
I have the master bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room, livingroom and family room all cleaned. Just need the office, sewing room and spare room worked on. I don't know if I have kept my heart rate up enough to consider it exercise though.
-
bookart.....i didnt know they were called Conestoga.
I kept googling wagon,,,,,,,,,,,,Thanks
-
Meece, can you come to my house next - please, please, please.
Okay, so I've solved the issue of trying to remember where I last read a post. I just have to make a post and then just look for my face when I next come back. Hopefully they are working on fixing this because I don't post on every thread that I read - frustrating!
-
hahahahahahahahahahaha patoo
-
Sheila - I think if we lose enough weight, we will all fit in a little red wagon...
Meece! - I'm jealous of that delicious-sounding dinner. I think birthday dinners are exempt from watching our food stuff. I mean - once a year, right? Moderation is the watchword, here, not total deprivation.
-
I feel so bad...I ate an ENTIRE bag of Lay's Limon potato chips and not the individual serving size bag either!
I have been so good this week an BAM! Blew it in an afternoon of mindless munching
-
o2bhealthy--we all fall off the wagon from time to time, don't let it derail you! Drink extra water to flush the sodium out of your system and prevent water retention. Was there a trigger for this episode, one you can predict in the future? Can you devise a plan to prevent another episode? I have to use the "never eat out of the package/bag/box" rule to stop that kind of slip up. I make myself put what I'm going to eat in a separate bowl or dish. To get more I have to get up, get out the box or bag again, and that gives me a chance to stop myself. One afternoon will not undo and entire week of being good, forgive yourself and jump in where you were and move forward! It's ok, you're ok, don't let this snowball!
-
Good idea, NM.
O2b, I love those Lays Limon, but I only buy the small package. I keep at least half of it so I can treat myself to a second session on a different day, but if I have it out, I will eat it all.
-
Goodness I knew I was forgetting something.
