Jane was the lady who started fire without a flint, right? I like her, too.

    I can't believe I forgot to post.

I'm with y'all - I really liked Tyrone - it seems that they are voting off the very people they need.  I also agree that the cast this year seems to be a little "off".  I am really having a hard time with the cast this year.  Na is the absolute worst and I think Kelly is my favorite.

I am having a difficult time liking anyone.  The personalities are either psycho or flat.  The challenges are really creative and interesting to watch but the people are bland.  Perhaps the producers will lighten up the editing.  It appears to be very heavy handed this season.

Well, that didn't make a whole lot of sense - they wanted to get rid of Marty and the immunity and they switched their votes to Kelly B?  HUH???  What did I miss?  I think they made an awful mistake.  I als think thatt sendig yve home when Dan had said he was done also doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  I am officially in the Jane camp - I would love for her to take it all.

These people are a bunch of chuckle-heads! I liked Yve and Kelly B.

ADK, what I think La Flor was trying to do was cover their bases and still control the bounce-back even if Marty had played the idol. In that scenario, they would have flushed out the idol and still gotten rid of their second choice (Kelly). If they had all voted for Marty and Marty then played the idol, the only vote that would have counted was Marty's. But for their vote-splitting strategy to succeed, they had to make Marty feel uneasy enough to use the idol. They apparently didn't do that, since he didn't play it. But they got half of what they wanted (Kelly out), so it's not all bad for their alliance.

This did answer a question I have been wondering about, though; whether or not a hidden immunity idol could be played in a tie-breaker vote. Apparently not.

Thanks, Riley, but I was talking only about the second vote, if they had voted for Marty,  they would have gotten rid of the idol because he would have been sent home with it in his pocket, so I still don't get why on the second vote they all switched (but Jane I think) to Kelley B rather than all switching to Marty.

I think most of the strategy is really just school yard emotion.  There are really no deep thinkers in this group.

So far I think this season sucks and I see no real logic on either team. I'm not rooting for anyone and I think the finale will be anti-climactic with no real fave being the winner. I was trying to give 'Fabio' the benefit of the doubt but after his stating that he believed that Marty was "smart" and a real "numbers guy" and believing Marty about his chess champion boasts well I just give up. If I don't see anymore of this season I truly won't be disappointed. The only crafty one I can see is the Asian girl, I forget her name, the ex-cheerleader?

Sorry I misunderstood, ADK. At the time of the second vote, though, I was still wondering if he could use it and if that's why they didn't all vote for Marty. That maybe he could still use it and they'd still need to split the votes. But, yeah. Now that I know he couldn't have used it, it was incredibly dumb of them to not all vote for Marty. Then the idol would have been back in play and they could get rid of Kelly whenever they wanted.

    Jaybird - Brenda?

Was sorry to see KellyB voted off so soon.  Was hoping to see her trounce Na in a future challenge.   Marty is turning out to be a sneaky bad ass--he's sure got Fabio bamboozled.   Is Fabio as naive as he apppears on the show?    I had initially thought he was playing dumb so s to sty under the radar and not appear to be a threat to anyone--now, I'm beginning to think he really is an airhead.

I'm liking Jane more and more--she is a good player and valuable to her team--so, she's going to have a big target on her back.  They will probably keep Dan around as long as they can while they pick off stronger more threatening players.

Interesting twists but the show just isn't grabbing me like past seasons have.

These people are wayyy too candid about alliances and motives in TC. They essentially tell the others what they are planning, which is stupid.

I really don't understand the vote in which they got rid of Kelly B.  In the tie breaker they should have voted Marty and the idol off.  I am really not into this season of Survivor....it kinda reminds me of the season where one tribe had a partial cave like area for their home and I believe the winner was Brian - I hated that season.

Thailand! The season where the stoner dude (Robb - who brought a skateboard to a beach as his luxury item) tried to literally strangle the old, annoying dude (Clay) right in the middle of a challenge, while Probst is screeching, "No! No! Stop that, you can't do that! Stop!" Good times.

The concept of old v young is a good one, but they failed with the selection of the old.  What were they thinking when they selected people with really poor physical conditioning?  Old for Survivor is 50-60, but some of the contestants like the foot ball coach were pushing 70s.

I'm so not into this season at all. I think I like Jane but I'm not sure. I really don't care who wins but I hope it's not Sash or Naonka.

Sash really showed his arrogance and contempt for the older players, didn't he? I'm not sure what choice Marty really had, but I think I would rather have used the idol to protect myself another week than hand it over to Sash. Of course, Jill gave it to Marty first, so there's plenty of poor playing to go around.

I hope they catch onto Sash soon. His idea of playing is to sit back, relax, nap and let others do all the work.........Grrrrrrrr! Glad that Jane kept that fish to herself.

Seriously? Mr Airhead, not only peeing in the pool, but announcing it?

jWith it looking like another merge, Marty can only hope it will play in his favor after that dumb a$$ move of his.

No favs for me this season..........just not a good season.

I'm confused as to why Marty hates Jane so much. I guess I don't know her "sob story", I don't watch every second of the show since I don't really like any of these people. I do like Jane, though. I think if she weren't working so hard Marty would hate her for that? And what was the Na/Alina food thing all about??? I honestly can't wait for this season to be over.

What was Jane thinking when she tried to outlast everyone?  Did she not realize that she has made herself a physical threat when before everyone just thought of her as an old lady?

What was Marty thinking when he started that rant against Jane?  Did he forget she had immunity?  He should have saved it for a time when she was vulnerable.

Perhaps things will start to pick up now that serious mistakes are happening.

amen, notself--my thoughts, too!    Jane should have let go and broke her tile the very second she won--and acted exhausted after!   Dumb, dumb move on her part!!!   And, Marty's rant at Jane at TC got me so confused, I forgot Jane had immunity!!!!

Was amused at how Na turned her food thievery around for the "good of the tribe" and then I got confused because it seemed that Alina admitted to being part of that when she didn't know about it until Na shared some stolen fruit with her????

I'm kinda sad that I'm not enjoying this season of my all-time fav reality show forever---but, glad to know I'm not alone!!!!

I think Marty made that speech about Jane to try and pin a target on her back. It's going to take more than just one speech to turn people against her, if he can at all. I think he's laying the groundwork at this point. He can say, "I was complimenting her! She couldn't have been voted out, anyway!" if anyone says anything. And Jane knew what he was really up to - that's why she was so mad when he was 'complimenting' her.

And really, tribe? That vile POS Na Onka pulls her worst stunt yet and you punish her very minor partner in crime instead? Stupid, stupid people!

I really am having a hard time enjoying this season's survivor........it has to one of the worst cast picks ever.  Nah has a terrible attitude and is a terrible role model for the students she teaches (she is a PE teacher).  Marty is arrogant, Dan can hardly move, doesn't care if he's in the game, but continues on......I'm rambling and apologize - this season is just a bad one.

My DD (oldest) waits tables and waited on Rob and Amber last week - she said they were polite, but seemed to not want attention and that Amber is very, very pregnant.

WOW!!!  the show finally picked up and was fun/interesting to watch tonight--more like the "old"shows that I've loved.   Thought the challenge was horribly one-sided, but the girls did their best!

Jane now has a HUGE target on her back--hope she can outwit/be strong and kick butt!!!   Who knows, in the end, she might even get Marty's vote!    Was glad to see Marty go...but not happy that he is on the jury.

I was about ready to throw in the towel for this season, but tonight gives me hope that the show has picked up and will get better------can't wait 'til next week!!!!

This was a much better show than the rest.......so glad to see Marty go.  He is an arrogant person who thinks that HE is the only one that knows how to play the game.  I think my favorites are leaning towards Jane and Chase.  And.....I do like the way Brenda and Sasha are playing.  I still cannot stand to listen to Nah.

Did y'all see the previews - my DH and I are guessing that their camp was wiped out by a storm.

    On to next week.......

Strange as it is to say it, I am beginning to like Nah.  She was right when she said that she is what she is.  I find her passion and determination compelling and the show would go flat if she were eliminated.   I think she will make it to the final 3 or 4.

SOOOO happy Marty is gone!  What an arrogant jerk...  Nah is annoying, but keeps the show interesting.  I love Jane.  Brenda is smart -- she may go a long way.  Sash -- too full of himself for me.  The show is finally getting interesting.

jenn, I was completely puzzled by the previews; it didn't seem like the reaction you would have to a player being injured. The camp being damaged sounds like a plausible reason for them to be freaking out. I'm happy to see Jane get rid of Marty, but I'm afraid he has got them all thinking she is a threat. I want her to go to the finals. Still don't like Na Onka, and Sash and Brenda are getting a bit too cocky; hope it doesn't backfire on them. I was puzzled about why the girls would be so contemptuous of Chase for picking their team in the Reward Challenge. I want to ask them why; isn't it a good thing that he's favoring you? There are some undercurrents there I'm not understanding.

Go, Jane, go!!!  That old gal has grit!!!  Thought it was terrific that she won immunity again--and what a difficult physical challenge that one was!    The target on her back is getting huge--she is proving to be a physical threat to everyone--plus she's got commen sense and survival skills that the younger contestants lack.  Kind of surprised to see Brenda voted off tonight...thought she'd last a few more weeks, but I was getting tired of her smug "I've got this won" attitude.....

It took a while, but the show is finally interesting again--can't wait 'til next week!!!

I laughed when they started putting all their storage trunks around to keep the rain off the fire--you could see that one coming!   Anybody catch whose bright idea THAT was????
