Our fog burned off months ago!  104 today, and I only worked in the yard about 40 minutes before it wiped me out.

Having my brother and sister in law for dinner tomorrow.  I actually took three hours off so I could relax and prepare it.  Oh, mom and dad will be there, too.

Nancy, when we started this topic, it was cold but I guess I wasn't thinking that it would take off so weel and last into the heat of the summer. Laughing  I have learned a lot about weather across the US through this thread.

This Michigan gal is totally enjoying the warm temps.  We haven't gotten as hot as the weather guessers predicted this week, it's been in the upper 70s and low 80s.  A little rain everyday.  Meece and Nancy and our Florida ladies can rub it in this winter when I'm shivering my little tootsies off.  Meece, send some heat over here and I'll send some cooler temps over there.  Funny Chrissy - although somedays I feel like cooking my brother in law and his wife!!!  Enjoy your dinner with your family Meece.

Temp was in the low 90's when I went home at lunch, an afternoon shower is coming through right now, don't know how much it will cool it off or change the humidity. The past couple of days, after it rains the humidity is just as high as it was before it rained.

Is this a normal amount of rain for you Sheila?  It seems like you've been getting a lot of rain.  I'll send some cooler temps down to you too!

We do seem to be getting an abnormally heavy amount of rain this year but the weather service stated this week that we are in a 'moderate' drought. 2 and 3 yrs ago we were behind over 15 inches of rain for each year and were on water restrictions (no watering the grass, no car washing at home) and I was doing all I could to reduce my 'water usage'. by Saturday they are projecting temps close to 100.

No, I won't eat my family.  How about if I feed them instead?  I am glad I came home early enough to cool off the house!  It was 83 inside when I got home!

101 yesterday, guessers predict 99 today.  Bright blue skies, but no breeze.

It was really hot in Baltimore, just got back today.  It is hot here, too, up in the 90's today.  I ended up with a terrible sinus infection on this trip.  Too much flying, airplane air, too cold air-conditioning, etc.  I'm back home and glad to be here.

At least you are back home.  It is horrible to feel under the weather when you are traveling.

Thanks Meece, you are right.  I was so sick on the plane going there, got to the hotel and got to the room.  Too sick to even unpack.  I just "lost my cookies" and went to bed.  Just got my antibiotic, will be better tomorrow.

I had a sinus infection on a trip out of state and on the way home we had two stops.  After the second stop I told the Flight attendant that I would be taking a bus or taxi the rest of the way.  My teeth felt like they were going to pop out of my head like popcorn.  She assured me that since the next flight was very short (50 miles) that they would not be reaching the altitudes that would cause the pressure.  She was right, but it was a horrible experience.  That and my baby had health issues and I had to care for him.

Sounds horrible, Meece.  Same problem with the pressure and my teeth.  I also get very dizzy and weave around when I walk.  This is stress related, I have to learn to let go of some of the pressure of work, etc.  Supposed to rain tomorrow, we sure need it.  DH said it did not rain at all while I was gone.

We had a "Health minute" at our company safety meeting today.  It was about stress.  Whoever wrote it up said that your body equates change (good or bad) as stress.  So a trip can bring on stress even if it is a good trip.

Boy that's the truth Meece. In '08 my mom took my sister & I on a cruise along the northeastern seaboard up into Canada-a good trip.  About a week or so before we left, I had a full blown panic attack because I was so stressed about going & not having my daughter with me, who was 13 at the time and was going to stay with a friend.  I had never had a panic attack before & I never want to have one again. I called the doctor for drugs to have on hand in case I had another one, but didn't have to use them until the cancer diagnosis. They came in handy that 1st day!Laughing

Yeah Meece, I should remember all this as it is what I do all day long. I have come to realize recently that I really need to reign back in what I think I can do and in reality what I can do.  I'm not as young or as strong as I used to be.  My work is stressful, my other life is not.  Thanks for the reminder.

We, in Tampa, are seeing lots of wind and getting very cloudy from Bonnie.  Supposed to have lots of rain later today and tonight, which we need.

"They" say that we may get thunder storms this weekend.  That only means that the humidity will be here.  Not great for working outdoors.

hot and humid here in the Carolina's, south of Charlotte they are in a heat advisory (heat index 105-115) but I think it is just as hot here. the weather channel said we have temp of 94 with the heat index at 100. That is hot considering I am close to the mtns. Small chance of rain tonight but no chance for the rest of the weekend. I think I will stay in under the AC.

5:45 and 98 here.  They got the fires from last thunder storm put out here.  I sure hate to see you get the fires and the Santa Anas, Nancy.  We tend to get the ash up here when the fires are on the grapevine or in Santa Barbara.  AND the ugly orange/brown skies.

Central Valley.  I worked in the yard off and on, but I have been having issues with my heart lately and didn't want to push it.  DH came in to check on me because he said I didn't look so good the last time I came in.  So I stayed inside and cooked dinenr instead.

8:00 am and the outside temp is 78. highs expected upper 90's with lots of humidity heat index over 100 again.  If I don't hurry out to walk this morning, it will be too hot to do anything.

Oh dear Meece.  Stay cool and take care.  Hot and humid here.  Should go up in the 90's but there is a chance for some rain.  It did rain a good bit yesterday.  My DH and I sat outside under our canopy in the rain after he got home from work.  It was nice to see the needed rain falling.
