Happy Mother's Day to all my dust bunny friends who are here and in Heaven........
Thinking of you today Kbug........ -
Hugs, Blessings, and a very Happy Mom's Day for everyone. Nancy
-
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I had a nice lunch out for my birthday. Then I got into so much pain I had to lie down for the rest of the day and night.
The pain continued making me depressed and a little nasty. So after a few "feeling sorry for myself" posts, gave up and only posted if I could say something postive. Something along the lines of "If you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all" Unfortunately since I was the class scapegoat.... no one talked to me in public and in private they said the nastiest things. I dont want to be like them so I'm not sharing my misery.

Big hugs to all of you sweet bunnies!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone - even those who aren't moms. You're all WONDERFUL sistahs!!! And that makes you someBUNNY special

Happy mother's day to all my favorite dustbunnies....xoxoxo

Okay- being lazy here and reposting what I wrote on another thread! How is everybody doing?
I'm enjoying my "break". Now that I am on the every 3-month schedule of Zometa, it's really nice to not have to go up to the hospital all the time!! The weather here is turning warm and our pool is ready to swim in. Unfortunately, we had a slight "cool" snap here today and couldn't swim this weekend for the first time this year. Hopefully soon!! I did see my first fawn today. We have a huge deer population and it's baby time!! We also had an email this weekend from our chief of police that a mountain lion had been spotted in an area just a few houses down from ours!
We've always had them, but I hate to hear they have been seen so close to houses although we are very wooded and secluded. Definitely keeping my eyes open for that!!
My hair is coming in nicely and I gave up the hat a few weeks ago. My hubby and I have volunteered to chair the golf tournament for a local organization that raises money for our local hospital's cancer research center. Very excited about that! I sometimes go several hours without thinking about cancer. I guess that is progress!
I hope you are all well and healthy and happy. I think of you often and pray for all of you.
Just had to come by and wish some of my very favorite women a happy Mother's Day!!
Hugs, Mary

Mary!!! Good to hear from you! You sound wonderful....I'm still addicted to Farkle and think of you many times as I play hours a day....lol. Not really funny I guess...but hey it could have been crack that I got addicted to....sigh.

Back from the Breast Cancer Survivor's Cruise! It was AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!! It has to be the best thing I have ever done in my life. I have already booked for next year. It will be May 14-21 going to St. Thomas, San Juan and Puerto Rico. I highly recommend it to everybody. It really isn't that expensive. I figure it costs less than $50 a month to go. I'll be posting photos on FB today or tomorrow.
-
Jane ... that sounds wonderful ... give details. I'm glad you had such a good time.
Mary ... Maybe you won't think about it so much now that you are not going to a hospital every
day for treatment! You gave up the hat and I may need it. It has nothing to do with cancer as I did not have treatment other than the bilateral mastectomy BUT my hair has suddenly developed this cowlick on the top right side of my head. I have always had great hair - hairdressers loved it! Now it takes several products just to get it to lie down flat!
Arnie ... always a pleasure to hear from you. Hope your Mother's Day was great.
Coonie - but hugs!
Sharon ... doesn't it just exhaust you to do housework? You have developed a very bad habit - Stop it!
-
It's soooooooooooooo great to have folks checking in.
Mary. So thrilled for your lengthy update. Thanks so much for all the news. It's great that you're taking on a leadership role in the fundraiser. Whoooohooooo.
Jane. I seriously wanna hear more. I think we ALL need to look into such an idea. Wouldn't it be absolutely amazing if we were all truly in the same place at the same time?????? OMGoodness.
We thought we were all signed up for a cruise in Nov., and then the group changed plans and cancelled, so I think I could seriously talk my DH into us going. Tell more. Tell more.
Everybody start saving your pennies!!!!! Just the thought that we could do such a thing is the happiest I've been for quite some time.
SHINY!!!!! Where are ya love? Do you have enough energy to check in periodically? I'm so concerned for you. Especially with your dearest of hubbys working far away. Please take very good care of yourself, cuz we all need your regular peachie vibes to keep us smiling. Please hug your two beautiful peeps for me.
Big hugs to one & all. I actually put away a load or two of laundry & dumped some suitcases worth of travels onto the floor & got it sorted. Then PT....... and four other stops along the way.
TRUE STORY: I went today to register for our Komen Walk which is THIS Saturday. I walked up to the volunteer who was doing the signing us up.
Guess what her name was.
Seriously.
Guess.
Drumroll..............................
Her name was FAITH. Right there on her name-tag. I took a pic of her. (Of course she thought I was outta my mind, but it was the encouragement I needed today.) I just about lost it entirely, but instead decided to appreciate it instead -- as a sign from heaven.
My PT says that there is actual measureable progress since Thurs. I don't feel any better, but she says we're headed in the right direction: HALLELUJAH!!

Ohhhh yeppers MaryRose!!! It IS so great to hear from you!! I love your new avatar picture. Doesn't it feel just great when the hat gets retired, or the wig or scarf and just go completely natural......FREEDOM!!! YES!!!!
Jane!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time on the cruise. That sounds like a good way to get alot of the sistahs together in one place. I'm wondering if #32 does cruises?? We'll have to ask Sharon about that....lol
Faithie's right Shiny!!! Are you ok?? Hope you check in soon. Hope you and the kiddos are making it ok.I picked up a few things at Walmart and thought about ya
Well, I actually did some cleaning today. It was a MUST......my house has been neglected the last few days.....getting my DD graduated Friday from college, and dear niece tonight from high school.......whew.....I don't know about ya'll, but I'm glad I don't have to go to many of those graduations. Gooodnesssssss gracious sakes alive!!!!!.....the one tonight was in the football stadium, outside, very very VERY windy, caps blowing off, sound system working then not working. Seems like it took longer than the 2 hours, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. SO very happy for both girls!!!
Vivvy----where are you hiding these days?? I miss you! I thought of you tonight...I think you've mentioned a teenage daughter????? Well, your day is coming with that graduation stuff.
Jayne!!! how are you feeling?? Is life getting back to semi-normal? We miss you but hope you're ok and just living life
Hey Kathleen girlfriend!! Perfect picture finder, animal lover, friend...hope you're feeling ok. No more kitty litter episodes I hope
I need start wounding down. I'm not usually EVER up this late, but graduation didn't start till 8:00 and wasn't over until 10:00. Great gooooga moooooga.....8:00 is my bedtime ......LOL
Thinking of all of you and hoping your week has started off great!!!
Big hugs!!

I think the highlight of the cruise was meeting 2 sistahs from the Chemo 08 thread - we shared a room after being together here on bc.org for almost 2 years. The "BCW 2011 Thrivers Cruise" is May 14-21, 2011. It will be sailing out of Miami, FL to Half Moon Cay Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan, PR and Grand Turk. Prices range from $370 - $620 pp. To make a reservation, contact Shelly Williams at Great Southern Travel 1-800-810-8610 (swilliams@greatsoutherntravel.com). Shelly is great. She will work with you on your deposit and making payments. She said she has some people who just tell her to debit their credit card for $50 on the first of every month.
-
Jane!!! that sounds like so much fun. How big are the rooms? How good is the food? LOL Did anyone seem to get sea sick. I've never been on a cruise before, but I've worried about sea sickness. I'm used to flying, and that doesn't bother me now. Wouldn't it be great if all the bunnies here could meet up in real life???
I'll be the keeper of the fire....keep the flame burning
-
Let's do it!!
Let's do it!!
Let's do it!!
Let's do it!!
xx00xx00xx00xx
Are we inviting the husbands?
Or is this girls only??
-
Coonie ... I would REALLY be worried about sea sickness. I have been dizzy most of my life (as many people will attests to!) and the thought of being in the middle of the ocean with motion sickness is daunting!
If we all go on that cruise - we will be end to end bunnies!
-
BTW ... this cute bun looks just like my Thumper before he died, broke my heart and made me cry.
-
Hugs Kathleen, I too had a rabbit. Called her Mrs. Bunny. I know, I have a real talent for names.
She too was black.
Hi, my name is Sharon and I've done some housework. (Not that you'd notice though, hehehe.)
Where is our little Shiny girl?
-
I have no bunnies... I have cat hair clumps that we name monthly then toss them.... some of the names have been quite imaginative. My daughter hurt her thumb.... I can out type her now. She just flies when she texts.
-
We had 3 bunnies growing up in the mountains of Ky.....Their names were Breakfast, Lunch and Midnight Snack because we knew with all the big cats around int he woods they sooner or later would be......Unfortunately for them a large cat DID break their cage open and have them as a meal...We kids cried of course even though we knew the facts of living in a remote area........
Hope all my bunny friends are having a great Thursday.....I would absolutely LOVE to go on a cruise but unfortunatley I don't fly and Miami is a bit of a drive for me...Although I DO have someone who I could leave my car with in the Keys....HMMMMM ....Mayyyyybeeeee.........We'll see....... -
Well, Lucy.
It's gonna be a seriously long drive for Sharon. Maybe she can pick you up on her way to Miami and you two can venture down together.
Kathleen, I have 'nothing' for genuine concern over dizziness. I have only been on one cruise -- on a big liner and after about 30 minutes I never noticed a thing, but I can certainly understand your concern. We could all get in one room & 'skype' you on a video conference.
xx00xx00xx00xx
No actual or imagined real bunnies in my past, but it seems we had a guinea pig for a short chapter -- until my mom recognized that she was allergic.
This has been a very keen little day. A couple of amazing opportunities have presented themselves on the horizons -- near & far. I just must somehow get 'better' and my PT assures me we are moving in the right direction.
Patience, little grasshopper.

and any other bunnies we haven't heard from in a while..................
(((((((((((((((((((((((((Arnie)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

There were 3 of us in a 210 sq foot room and we had plenty of room. There were 3 closets and lots of counter space in the bathroom. I didn't see or hear of anybody thar was sea sick either. The food is excellent and you can eat 24 hours a day. This is an experience never to be forgotten.
-
So the hubbies weren't invited?
-
Some women did bring their hubbies with them. It's not something mine would enjoy and it felt good to just relax with women who "got it"
-
Lucy, you didn't happen to have "mystery meat" for breakfast, lunch and/or a midnight snack shortly after the demise of your bunnies did you?
-
Daaaaaaaaaaalings!!!!
I have just about caught up with your news. Been, well it's just been very demanding here on all fronts, am shatered tonight, soon to put the kids to bed. I've not had any extra shiny "spare" to go on the net, but have been sending vibes, and have thaught of you all. Glad to come and find things seem to be moving in the right direction for a lot of bunnies.
I will fill you in but nothing dyer, just lots and lots and DH away a great deal, so have just been pressing on, and then, trying to get those ZZZZZZZZZZ at night. DH here for 2 days but silly loads to do over the weekend, will come back when DH goes back abroad next week.
Nighty night, my lovely friends. Will send extra portions of peachy vibes over to you all tonight.
xx xx xx
-
Oh, goodness, Shiny.
Thank heavens to hear from you. I knew you were going to be running the whole sha-bang on your own for a while. I will be eager to hear if any of your specialists are offering you insight.
Please know that I've got continual vibes headed your way, crossing the pond slowly to you, but continually.
