Poison ivy is better...Got a shot in the arse for it yesterday!....Too bad the cute intern wasn't the one who gave it to me!...LOL......
Got home with hubby a couple of hours ago...He had surgery to remove a basil cell carcinoma from his right cheek.....It turned out to be invasive so we will know more after the resiults of the tests on this last surgical removal.....He now sports a long thin scar vertically on his right cheek....Very rakish of you ask me...Just like a pirate!.....OOHHHHHH........My dream come true!...LOL....But seriously, his doc thinks he got it all and will know more in a week and then we go from there......I am going to Google some of the terms on his path report.........Keep us in your prayers and you all are always in mine.......Hugs and love to you all.......
Coonie I agree...Way too quiet lately.....We need a PARTY!>....... -

Happy 11 thousand posts !! We are a busy, interested, interesting, and talented bunch of dust bunnies. Housework is optional for the most part... you know what I mean. I am trying to find a suitable bathroom rug, - I know it is out there somewhere... Time to get ready to play bridge and exercise my brain cells. Next week I start Tai Chi - another excuse to avoid housework.
Hugs, Nancy

Good afternoon fellow bunnies! I have been AWOL for the last several days but I am glad Shiny got home and that Faith is back on the road again.
Lucy ... now that is just what you needed - poison ivy! Prayers for your husband and please let us know how he is doing. Prayers and hugs.
Coonie ... Sharon is getting way out of hand - cleaning - really.
Sharon ... knock it off! Now! All you have to do is when you feel cleaning thought coming on, take two aspirin, lay down and call me when it passes.
Allison ... welcome!
Regina ... since I have not been on the boards I missed your birthday ... many happy wishes!
Did someone mention a party? I'll bring the cake!
-
Kathleen!!!! It's so good to see you back. I miss you when you're gone!
That cake looks DEEEELICIOUS!!! Yummmoooo.....I could eat the whole thing right now
Big hugs to all you bunnies!!!!

Hi there loveyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys,
Sorry my dear bunnies. Back, but exausted, with loads on my DS's school. Had meeting yesterday, then today in there training, so prep then train, then action outcome of meetings, make resources and more docs, then more..DH away all week (back tomorrow), my pains getting the best of me most afternoon, and think may have got a "bug" on top. Chassed both the chest specialist yesterday for the biop results for my possible Bronchial stenosis thingy, and the oncs to push for a ct scan as my pains seem more then what an hemagioma could produce. Just all taking it all of me, and not much to spare, but am managing to do some good during my good bits. Just really would like to get to the bottom of things, you know.
I feel so behind with everybody's news here! I might try to give one of you a call tonight to get caught up, am just whooped, lemonette style, and I have tried to keep informed here, but can't seem to retain it all, so sure hope I catch one of you in tonight.
Hollyann, keeping you and hub in my thaughts. Hiya, and best wishes to all my dust bunnies!xx
Shiny hugs hugs hugs
-
a quick fly by as I get ready to go to the cemetery w/ son, dil and grand baby to "introduce" babe to DH. May sound quirky, but it gives me some comfort to know "he" is watching over us - our guardian angel, so to speak. Hugs for all.
-
Dear GramE,
Sounds completely sound to me daaaling. Big hug to you.
To all my bunnies, sorry I am away alot these days, not permanently thaugh, I cherish you dustbuns!
I am just struggling some these days.."this too shall pass" for just right now, not terribly wordy, althaugh wrote some good docs for DS's school and related issues, just run out of "lemonade" by night time to write anything sensible/ or fun for pleasure and to connect with you all! What a lemon!! I'm chassing oncs for ct on Tuesday when I get to talk to one of the junior docs, hoping for some resolutions.
Afraid to miss anyone with my worsening memory, so no lists, just mega good vibes on their way to all my bunny friends.
xx xx Shiny
-
See!! So forgetful, that I just now see that I had managed to pop in and tell you where I am at just 2 posts above, seems memory worse! deeeeeeeeaaaaaaaryyyyyy me!
Still, do have a laugh at how silly I am! he he.
Coonie, go to Walmart for me and shop shop shop!xx
Shiny

((((((((Shinygirl)))))))))))) Since I have worked every day this week, I have a HUGE Walmart list. I'll be sure to do some extra shopping for you too
Sending all you bunnies bunches of bunny hugs!!!
-
Awwhhh Coonie...Love the baby pic.....I bought a doll at Easter for my sister thsat is dressed in a duck costume........
DH is on the mend from his surgery..Thank you all for the prayers......I was actually allowed to go back and watch the actual surgery.......Very interesting but gross......I'm not squeamish or I wouldl not have been able to go with him to the room...The doctor actually did the surgery in his office......Now Dh has a vertical incision on his right cheek..Looks rather rakish and risque.....LOL ...Reminds me of the pirate novels I used to read..........Heheehee.........
hugs and much bunny love to you all...... -
Lucy ... delighted that DH is recovering nicely. It is so so worrisome when a loved one has a medical problem. Please say hi to him from me!
Nancy ... I think its sweet you are taking your granddaughter to meet her grandfather. I bet that precious little one is just as cute as can be and I know you are thrilled to have finally met her.
Coonie & Shiny ... just at Wal-Mart yesterday. Our Wal-Mart is close to Costco so we can do twice the damage to our checkbooks!
Everyone - have a blessed and peaceful day. Love you!
-
bunnies. in case you didn't see it elsewhere on here.
i start this morning as my first full day of wearing a compression sleeve & gauntlet.
i'm too exhasuted from all of the work/fun of last week to report anything other than sorrow, but hopeully will take a few more happy pills over the days ahead and come to grips with one more reality of this journey.
at some point, i will have to come up with "cover-ups" that will be child-friendly.
today, just getting my brain wrapped around the need.
we're in a UHaul headed into DC to deliver furniture to DD2 and attend her doctoral recital. i'll plrobably sleep thru the whole experience.
xx00xxx00xx00xx
Thanks for the encouragement.
Sleep was a good tonic, last night.
-
Praying & praying & praying that Shiny's issues get sorted and answers located.
The wandering around in the darkness isno fun, peachie-one.
Know I'm thinking of you.
Breathing in. Breathing out.
-
Good morning bun-buns.
Faith ... how exciting! Your daughter will be a Ph.D. In general terms, where is DD2 in this area and where is she getting her degree? As to covering up your sleeve - have you thought of veterniarn supplies where I believe you can get those plastic gloves that come up to your shoulder. If you look at www.alibaba.com you will find a supplier. Good luck.
-
Hi KMC!
Just poping in for a quick "look see". I've been too run down to keep up except for kids stuff and with my DH who's been abroad working, now staying over the weekend and next week abroad, bit of a long haul for this lemonette.
Always thinking of you thaugh.

LADIES IN TREATMENT MAKE SURE TO APPLY FOR FREE HOUSECLEANING SERVICES. I didnt find out about this til after I finished chemo and my house was such a mess, I just cried and cried. Becasue I did not apply while under treatment I did not qualify, so dont delay! I have been doing little by little every week, cleaning up one small area (and buying curtains) and things are shaping up slowly. The link for the FREE house cleaning service is
