Hi Bunnies,
Well, I have just a few minutes here so will rush through.
We are standed, in our resort in Crete due to the Iceland volcano ash clouds which makes air travel impossible. We will be here until they ok air travel, the volcano is still errupting so the situation is still worsening at this stage not getting better. The airline company is now talking about possible options,,,ie: shipping us to Spain, then fairies and busses.. please pray for just a straight flight from here to home, at some point next week, as anything more exciting and demanding will be very difficult for my DS. We are making the most of the extended sun. Soooo many many counties are affected it's somthing else.
I did some writting in the sand about you gals but can't attempt to post until we are back home, which could be as few days more or longggger. Anyhoooo.
love and prayers to you all.
Must go as others are waiting for the internet.
xx biggg hug. Send me calm vibes for DS, DD is loving the daily kiddies disco, so she'll happilly stay for months!
xxShiny.

Shiny I'm glad to see you post! I have been thinking about you over the last few days with that volcano errupting. I thought you would probably be stranded in Crete for as long as it lasts. It's good that you are in the resort and not stuck at the airport. I am sending you my calmest vibes and prayers for a direct flight home. Meanwhile make the most of that Greek sunshine.
Mum hugs to you and prayers for good results.
Vivvy LOL at the earth moving! I remember once we had an earthquake here at home and my DH just thought it was a truck and went back to sleep.
Nancy what an experience that must have been. Glad that nobody was hurt.
Nick and I had a wonderful, relaxing short break in Jersey and managed to fly back before the volcano in Iceland errupted. It was my first time flying since my mastectomy and only a short flight, but all went well. I was relieved that my TE didn't set off the alarm when I walked through the scanner.
Take care bunnies and enjoy the rest of the weekend. xoxoxo

Shiny!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness girlfriend!!! I hope ya'll are able to enjoy the rest of the time you're "stranded". No one would have EVER thought you'd get stranded by a volcano!! Sending you many hugs, prayers and the bestest of the best positive vibes!!!! Hugs to the kiddos!! Sure will be praying you get a straight flight home!! Keep us posted when you can!! (((((Shinygirl)))))
Jayne it's so good to see you and hear you had a nice trip. Sounds like you've crossed another hurdle with traveling. It feels good to get back to some kind of normal, doesn't it?
Nancy, your story tickled me too! Did you at least make the local news?? LOL
Sending all you bunnies a great big hug!!
-
Shiny,I think this is just Mother Nature's way of saying that you need a bit more time on holiday.
Nancy, That is so funny (but not). Glad everyone is okay.
Mum, Thoughts are still with you and fingers are still crossed for good results.
I rang my BS on Friday and have been scheduled for my first mammogram/scans etc for May 28.
It great to see lots of dustbunnies back....was starting to think you had all gone to other threads and left me behind.
Hugs to you all,
Viv

Have had BEST weekend w DD2 & SIL. My DH built them a built in closet. I've been weeding the flower beds & mulching all day. It doesn"t count as housework -- if you're outside.
Shiny I had a feeling your trip was impacted.... Safe travels home.

Good morning Buns.
Yesterday we (meaning my sister and brother) did some yard work. The person who mows the grass had come by on Friday and my siblings finished edging the trees in those small, rounded white cement edgers and the flower beds, too. They got black mulch that looks great. Things are popping up all over the place. Very pretty.
Barbe ... quick question. How do they perform mammograms on someone without breasts? Like you, I had a bilateral mastectomyy. And I don't blame you for refusing to let them fool around with the side that has LE. The older I get the less I respect most doctors!
Faith ... have a wonderful and safe trip. Enjoy those grandkids!
Nancy ... I'm just happy you were not hurt - I do, however, see the visual perfectly!
Siny ... (((((HUGS))))). Enjoy the extra days with your family.
Coonie ... the tulips and that garden are just beautiful!
Vivvygirl ... might as well send #32 up here - I could use a few days away. BTW - love your heart clouds.
Mum ... I am praying extra hard that this is 'routine' testing. Once upon a time a doctor's office called to say there was something odd on my pap smear (turned out to be nothing). While I was in stunned silence the nurse commented "you aren't going to get paniced by this, are you.' In my mind I was waaaaaay past 'panic.' I had the funeral home on standby.
Sharon ... step away from the vacuum and no one gets hurt!

Mammogram on no breast.....
Well, it wasn't a doc who wanted me to do it, it was a young, flippant thing with no compassion. I still refused my LE side, but this is what we did for my "good" side.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAA "good" side..hehehehhehee, I crack myself up!
I dropped my gown and there is a hesitant "pause" in the room as both of us consider how my chest looks. Looks "normal" to me, I see it every day just like this.
"Turn into the machine she says". Okay, I think, but it won't make any more "breast" appear.
She then has to actually <gasp> touch my chest and pull, prod, tug, arrange, squeeze, coax a bit of skin onto the mammogram field as she lowers the upper pad.
Trust me ladies, there wasn't enough showing in the mammo'd area to know "what" was even being mammo'd!!!!!
Idiots.

Good morning and Happy Sunday my dusty bunny friends.....
Faiht, glad you are going back to the gands...Happy Birthdays all around to them.....
Shiny, hope you get home soon....At least you are stranded in a beautiful place and not in a Motel Hell!......LOL
I hope you all have a great day..I have been MIA because I have been afraid to find someone else has left us......Too emotionally sad for me lately....Please know that I ma always with you all in spirit and thin of you all everyday and keep you in my prayers......
I know what my future is just as Coonie says we know it....But I am trying ot live my life to the fullest and am going to do some yard work this week and get some color in my yard.....Too much green and not even primary colors.....LOL -
The flowers are beautiful!!
I will be doing the Relay for Life in June where I live. If anybody would like to donate, I have my own "relay" page. It is http://main.acsevents.org/goto/Jane_Murphy

Piles here & piles there.

Shiny asked me to post this on her behalf in case she can't get to the boards.
Just a quick one to say we are still here in Crete. No word as yet when and how we will depart for the U.K. The weather is brill here, but the not knowing when we will return is of some concern. We are very fortunate to be in a lovely place, instead of stuck in an airport on the floor. I may not get to BCO, so please could you send the girls my love and let them know we are still here and I still send prayers their way. xx
-
Sharon. Thanks for the Shiny up-date.
Sending prayers to all in need.
