Barbe. Your birthday is ever closer & closer!!
I may just start singing, all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a corner of my t-shirt from this morning's 5K Komen.
Here's another section:
-
Happy Birthday, barbe. And many mooorrrreeeeeee! Enjoy, relax, be happy.
Faith: I found my name. Thank you so much for including me.
Hugs and Blessing for each and every one of you, Nancy
-
Thanks Nancy and Faith! I didn't see my name, but you told me you put in on Deb, so I trust you...hehehhehee We're like little kids wanting to see our names, but to me it's so special to know someone is walking for me as I can't. I have signed up to do the Survivor's Lap again this year. Geez, with my cane, I'll look worse than last year!
Nancy, I'm going to be moving now! Not until end of November, but it's a new-build condo and it's in the same city where my two kids bought houses and my DD is pregnant! We are listing our home on Tuesday. Here comes the work....sigh.
-
OOps. Barbe. Here's another view.
It was hard to photograph & get it so you could see.
Hope that your day is brilliant!!
-
Phew! Thanks Faith, now my Faith is back...hehehehehee
-
Love you sistah!!!! Hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!! xoxoxo
-
Is the new condo your birthday present, barbe? Just teasing... I hope it is everything you want and need. My move was a good one. No place is perfect, but I am much happier in this apartment than in the other one. The sun is shining, a nice breeze coming in the windows, which I can open without fear. One load of laundry is in the dryer, another in the washer.
Later I get to see the grand babe. All is good. Hugs, Nancy

-
Didn't get a chance to log in at work yesterday as I was too busy, so got all these good wishes today. Thank you so much! It means a lot, truly.
-
Barbe, happy happy birthday!!!.......
No, Barbe...None of my meals were ver named except for a cow we had once.......That bull fed us all winter and through the spring......I ate rabbit but only wild caught, not pets........
Faith, love the Tee..I have the same exact one...... I had no way of writing on it before the race because they gave them to us after the race.........
Well, my baby girl graduates Friday........How do you all cope with being empty nesters?......
-
Holly - mine just came back...
-
Holly. Isn't it cool that we have the same t-shirt? I'll think of you when I wear mine & vice-versa!! Seriously, my first picture book came out of my stir-crazy feelings upon suddenly becoming an empty nester -- as both of mine moved out at about the same time. So, put your angst to good use!!
Hugs all around the bunny hutch.

Hello Darlings, can I still call you all that??
Your never far from my thaughts and ALWAYS prayers. Just ticking over. BOTH printers misbehaving, it's after midnight, making resources for school, flippin printers, always happens when DH is out of the country.. I don't know where to start here, been loads for me to try to keep accomplishing for my DS by helping and educating the new school team. They are willing and care for him clearly, but for everything they get right... anyhoooo. As it's not for me, am humbly asking for any prayers for them, for him, as I plung along getting them "up to scratch". Godness knows there is nothing I won't do to help. On a positive note ..
My DS was in his class amssembly to parents last Friday and I was sat accross in good view of him, praying and holding my breath as the whole thing had only been organised and rehersed a few times, but he did ok, amazingly with 3 practices! played some music, was a cow, read a few lines.. oh and said "hello mrs K" to one of the teachers in the middle of the audience, but he said it sweetly so no one seemed to mind. Oh, the helpers had told me that the kids get to hug their parents and get a "well done" before going to class at the end, after the applause. I made him a visual script to help him follow the proceedings but they had not told me that parents could clap in between each bit, so a few times, he said "happy claps then hug mummy", when he heard the "happy claps".. sweet sweet child. I was able to user sign language from my seat to gesture him to stay put as there was more before the end. I'd promised him I'd "cheer" as he loves "happy claps with cheers" (as I didn't know beforehand that their would be lots of intermitent applause, I had to "mimic cheering" with every clap, whixch was quite funny to me, but meant that I was keeping my promise..hi,hi. Oh my beloved boy, so kind and so brave.
Have enlisted the help of an occassional sitter that my kids know to be a befriender, "big sis type" pal to give my nearly 7 year old so "girl time" and go out to the mall and have a mc donald's and some none "special needs" time. I think it will be good for her and she can talk about things freely with her, and just relax. nice.
Hub still away during the week, me still lemonette, still grateful. Next appointment is with spine specialist on the 18th june. So for now just doing my best, popping the codein etccc and getting along as best I can. Grateful.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx happy birthday Super BARBE!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sorry I am late. huggggg
Peachy vibes to all, gotstoo go Nighty night. Thanks to Faith, and all who are sending me a good constant "drip feed " of peachy vibes, they are very much appreciated.

Hey Bunnies!!
Shiny---you can ALWAYS call us darlings
You've earned your rights. We miss you when you're not around. I've been away some myself, but still think about you and all the other bunnies each and every day. I guess it's a weird bunny thing......I just go through days of being in a funk...a depressed funk.....and I just hate it! Don't feel like I'm good company, so I just try to keep my own self company....LOL......now that's really depressing.
Lucy and Faithie--thank you from the bottom of my heart for walking on behalf of the sistahs here. That's really special and I just really do appreciate it!!
Barbe---I missed your birthday. Hope you were able to do something special to celebrate!!! Birthdays are precious these days.
Sharon--you know I love you......hope you're taking good care of my "man"......LOL......washing feet and all......hehe
Jane, Jayne, Vivvygirl, Dream, Nancy, MaryRose, Mum............thinking of ya'll.
Kathleen and Arnie--------------ya'll sure are quiet. I hope all is ok in your world!!
Thought this might give us all a little warm fuzzy!!

Hi ladies while I was in Tbay I attended a BC lecture and saw a presentation by Dr John Semple about breast reconstruction.I am now considering going for a consult.Still don't know if unnecesary surgery makes sense or not.He also spoke about Lymphedema which was very interesting. In the future Lymph node transplants will be available. Its a little late for us though.I also listened to a Rad onc as well she did not mention any info on side affects.Chemo brain I did not think to ask these questions after her lecture.
Well must get to the gym.Exercising is inportant for boosting the imune system.

Shinyyyyyyyyyyy darlingggggggggggggggggg.
Such a lovely, lengthy update. It's so good to hear from you. What progress your huggy-bunny-boy is making under your direction and teaching of his teachers. What an advocate you are on his behalf. Bigggggggg hugs.
Coonie, isn't it something how we go up & down & up & down?? I guess we just need to accept that fact and allow ourselves to go with the river's current. Goodness I've had some booohoooos of late, but then regroup and pick myself back up again. Grateful for another day.
Hugs all around the bunny hatch.
Vivvygirl of tomorrow, we haven't had a check in from you in a while. Glad to hear your report of the lecture mum. (You get credit for attending.)
Yesterday our realtor called at the last minute, there was to be a showing of our house. I ran about like a rabbit making everything shine. Went to the library at the appointed hour. Came home and learned later that the prospective buyer was unable to come take a look. What a hoot.
I actually did some cleaning & I'm the only one to appreciate. My hubby will be home in less than a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK, I've been missing him.
Hugs all around.

Bunnies....am still here!
Just have trouble stringing two words together sometimes.
Life is being very demanding at the moment so very little time for me to come and visit my dust bunny friends. Bathroom and Laundry are under renovations and hopefully will be finished in the next 2 weeks, my house looks like a construction site, resignations at work has seen me having to do a lot more hours, having my first mammogram since bc on the 28 May and it is worrying me at the moment and finally having some concerns about my DS. He had a virus earlier in the year and since then has not been himself...very tired, crabby, grades slipping and not at all happy. Has been to the doctor several times and had all sorts of blood tests and thankfully have come back all okay. The doctor seems to think he has post viral fatigue and maybe a little depression. He is in the last 2 years of high school and the work has got a lot harder and I think he has just got the the revelation that my cancer has changed me and our lives and it will never go back to how it was. So the treatment is good food, sleep and lots of love from the family.
So as you can see lots is going on in my life at the moment. Thanks for listening and being here for me and not forgeting me when I don't post for a while.
Hugs to all
Viv

Viv! So good to hear from you! Tough when someone else in the family is needy when you kind of still need to take care of yourself first.... Has he been tested for mono? Good luck on your mammo...you can do this!
As for the reno's, it's always neat to start fresh, a hassle for sure, but worth it in the end!
-
Vivvi,
Ditto from me dalling. bigggg peachy hug from me, and loads of peachy vibes coming your way for you and for your DS, the worry must really for our children is the hardest.
Hope you have a blessed bit of rest after all the reno, enjoying a new quality of live and the fruits of all your hard work, such a tuff time to do all that to the house, but it's nearing the end isn't it and it has kept you, hopefully, from worrying more about your check up, so in tha respect, that was good.
take care of you lovey,
xx Shiny
ps: Hi Barbe!!!
-
I'll give ya two Shiny posts, a Barbe & a Mum each, and raise ya a Vivvy-girl.

I am practically sleep walking, but as hubby home feeling much same as me, I've just sujested we go out to lunch at a simple local restaurent just to "date each other", as we are often apart these days, so am going to go get my "face on" and have a lunch date with my guy. I will toast you mumma.
Faith, praying your healing continues and you find the right supports to manage your newly accquired but hopefully transient condition. (arm/chest etc).

Hi and Hugs for all. Nothing much going on here. 2 years ago I was getting ready for chemo and I guess I get to celebrate that is all over with and I am walking with NED. Congrats on birthdays and anniversaries. My frazzled brain cannot possibly catch up with everyone. A big round of HUGS for all, Nancy
-
Happy Monday, bunny babes.
Sending everyone here some happy, well wishes for a delightful week ahead.
My hubby is home safely after a few weeks apart. I'm a much happier camper with him under the same roof. I swear I actually "feel" better, now that he's home. I have a feeling my PT will document progress at this afternoon's session.
We'll leave for MI just as soon as she tweeks me about. Just for one over night. End of the year preschool wonderful-ness to celebrate up in the big city of Detroit..... one of my original fanclubs.
