Faithie, I PM'd you......OOPS!..I siaid sorry in the PM!...LOL just skip that part ok?..........Cancer sucks no matter what stage whether 0 or 4.......Cancer is cancer and it effects everyone......BUT I just found this poem I want to share with you
What Cancer CANNOT Do....
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendships
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit
Author unknown
I would like to add :
It CANNOT take our will to live
It cannot take away who we really are
It cannot take away our pride
and most of all it CANNOT take away our strength and courage!......
My prayers and thoughts will be with you on the 15th...I and all the Elelphant Sisters will be right there in the OR with you and the surgeons..........(yes I imagine it will be quite crowded!).........I have a candle constantly lit that was blessed by a friend of mine..I am using one of those flameless tea lights so I don't have to extinguish it when I leave for work.......I don't think God will mind..Do you?....
Love you bunches and bunches, Debbie........Get ready for a card avalanche!...........You are still in Ohio aren't you?........ -
{{{Faith}}}} Dam...

I got you covered on the middles thread Faith.
-
Ok Debbie, I'm not going to say I'm sorry. I totally understand that. But I will say that you are in my prayers. I think that's ok, isn't it?
And Lucy is right. That OR is going to be so crowded!!
Calm and acceptance. And hugs. Lots and lots of hugs.
-
And Happy (late) Birthday from me too Kathleen!! Hope it was awesome!!!
-
(((((((((((((((Faith))))))))))))))))) xoxoxo
-
Faith, you are doing the right thing. There are many of us who will walk the path with you. I love you very much!
-
Faith D&*N IT! You are in my thoughts and prayers now, on the 15th and beyond.
-
I love you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The first waltz thru cancer-land, I did indeed use the phrase: getting my ducks in order..... so much so that I received quite a few rubber duckies, a duck hat & puppet and duckie greeting cards.
Is there a 'better' mascot for the second waltz? I'm open to suggestions. Jane's nomanination above for the "beaver" is brilliant, simply brill (to use a shiny word). I think I've going to challenge you to find all pics beaver for this trip. LOLOL.
Big day, which I haven't even begun to prepare for: Kindergarten love. All day. Time to put one foot in front of the other.

prayers for one & all
-
Nancy, you have found just the best way to say it. Praying as we read each post, That is just right and exactly what happens, then we "top up" the prayers along the day, as we think fondly of Bunnies and other BCO girls in need.
xx thinking of you all.

My daughter IS pregnant! I am over the moon. Thank God! I pray it all goes well, she goes for her first appt this Friday. I'll keep y'all posted.
As for my doc appt it went as well as to be expected. He's wondering why my iron is low and is booking me a colonoscopy. Also sending me to an orthopedic surgeon to get my hip fixed. The growths of arthritis are in an unusual position so have been ignored to date. He says they can put a melamine plate in that will last forever! I got Oxycodone I/R to get faster relief on the days my Fibromyalgia is out of control (on top of the Tridural300 I take every day). I've been using Demerol but he says the industry is trying to cut down on the use of Demerol...huh, he got the memo, I didn't! As for the brain CT, he's "pretty sure he saw it was okay" but he didn't have it in his hands so I guess no news is good news. I wondered why he couldn't bring it up on his system, but oh well. I'll take the "no cancer" appointment anyday. Other problems but all do-able.
Now I can focus on baby news. I do need something like that to pull me along.
-
Barbe, it's my turn to tell you off!! Go to bed daaaaaaaaaaling! ( by my calculations it must have been 2 am when you posted!!
Congrats for your grand baby news!!
and for the "not tooo eventful" appointment with your doc (still can't beleiiiiiiiiiiive you don't have an onc!) Make sure you ask for confirmation re the brain ct, just so it doesn't niggle you in the back of your mind.
I am being "naughty". I will be good soon, but the kids are off school still again, due to too much snow, so my " kids back in school colapse morning" hasn't materialized yet! I have them sharing DD's nintendo DS with DS's egg timer (5 mins each), they have been fed, they are bundled up in a blanky, but I am in bed with my second cup of "please help me caffeen in hand". I may have to drag them both to my doc appointment (which I have postponed to avoid taking them) to get blood results and get the ball rolling for scans, just to rule things out. I am a lemonette, I am a lemonette, I am I am I amI am I am a lemonette!!(my theme song of late!, call me dippy, I know)
Take care loveys, The kids and I will bake, make a snowman or 2, and make snow angels, then it will be time for a "cup of tea" and then a bubble bath for them..I am thinking of you all..
Coonie, can't make it to the post office yet, but I should be able to next week.
Thank you ALL for being such a lovely bunch of friends and such a support too. It would have been my daddy's birthday, I know he sends you his best from above the clouds.
Shiny xx
Well, best have the rest of that coffee.
-
Barbe. We need your baby news, to pull us all along.
Shiny of the shiniest..... praying my heart out for your continued strength as you sort out your lemonette status.
Running out door. School day #3 in a row. What was I thinking??
-
First -- hugs all around.
Shiny - you did said it best.
Faith - this is probably the best decision. When they diagnosed my DCIS in the left breast, I told them to take both. Good thing! Upon review by pathologist - there was early DCIS in the other breast). Lots of prayers coming your way or I should say continued prayers coming at you.
Barbe - that is fantastic news!!!!!!! You're going to be a grandma!! I hate to hear that you are going in for surgery on your hip. You continue to amaze me girlfriend.
Here's our mascot!
-
As for the surgery on my hip, it might take a while. I live in a town of old people so the waiting list might be a long time....I still have to get an appointment with the ortho, but at least it's in the works!
Dam fine pictures of my national mascot!
-
hmmmmmm which will it be????!!! Barbe, sooooo happy for you sistah! I was in bed by 9 pm last night cause I had the grandkidlets all day yesterday....but had a big smile on my face. I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!
Shiny...how much snow did you get??? I bet the kidlets are loving it!!!! Hope you have a beautiful day!
lol. Faith... you bring soooooo much joy to sooooo many people
Too all my other dustbunny friends...have a wonderful day. I was gonna start taking Christmas decorations down today, but a neighbor called and wants to go thrift shopping.... soooooo guess which one I chose! lol
xoxoxo
-
-
Oh Shiny! How could I sleep with visions of grandchildren running through my head! hehehhehe
Actually, I'd had my "first sleep" and then I read or come here then go back to bed.
-
lol...Kathleen!!! I know...it's been soooooooooo long since I've just walked around a thrift store! I'm really looking forward to it. It was an easy choice...lol I can always start taking down Christmas tomorrow....or the next day....or the next day... ;-)
-
Congratulations, Barbe!.......Oh I want to be a Grandma!!..........Another good reason to not do housework!,,,,LOL...My DD took down my trree and fixin's!...hehehe
Arnie so glad to see you posting again......I am going to try to call you tomorrow on my day off.......
Hope you all have a wondermous day!.......Love you all!...... -
Barbe congratulations on your grandbaby news! I'm glad also that you are getting other matters sorted out with your doc. Hope you don't have to wait too long for your hip.
Arnie good for you going thrift shopping instead of taking down decorations. Good decision!
I went shopping today too, but only for food. We have had several inches of snow and the roads round here are not good. The pavements are better since the latest snowfall, not so icy, so I walked to a local shop and back, then did some snow shovelling. I was glad to get out in the fresh air.
