Here's the only pic of our time @ saint's home. She utterly deplores being in pictures. So I have to coax her and coax her. I told her you guys would want evidence.

I REALLY should have insisted on getting a snap or two of their family, since everyone was there together again. Didn't even think of it, to tell you the truth. We were all just having too much fun.

I put this pic up on the 2 'prayer' threads that I've started for Saint, but here it is again, as per your request, Kathleen.

Saint is holding her chemo-pal, a Papillon (you should see when his ears are up) named Alphie. He truly is devoted to her every step and movement. So sweet.

Faith - Thank you.  Why would Saint not like having her picture taken?  You both are gorgeous!  I am so glad you and Saint had such a good time.  Laughter is the best medicine.  Thanks again for posting the pix.

    PS - Love the dog!

YAY, Coonie!  Now you have to me a photo of you wearing the shirt!

Hey, Bunnies.  I've taken my Provigil & hoping it kicks in well today, because I really need to do just a teeny bit of cleaning!

I am looking at Kak's shirt and seeing that the names are in alphabetical order.   Wow, it is an awesome shirt to begin with then that added bonus.   Beautiful work, Kak.

Yesterday I avoided any cleaning by going over to have the so called dissolving stitches from my port removal checked.  It was done July 20 and tiny bits kept coming out the end of the scar.   The (very handsome) doctor picked out 3 pieces and said it "should" all have dissolved but he thinks he got it all.    Good part is no inflammation, swelling, lump or anything else.

Tomorrow is gyn appointment.   If I am not going one place or another for some kind of medical appointment, I might think something was wrong.   Have a great day.  HUGS,   Nancy

Don't tell me everyone has been cleaning.   I am avoiding it again today, except for one load in the washer.

    Hi there loveys!

Shiny here, just briefly. My computer is giving me "jip"! I have just about topped my memory quota on this machine and am having probs with it this week. I am..as...ever..a LEMONETTE.In bed, heals hurting, chest hurting, whooped, but happy and grateful. My DS has had, as far as I can tell a good transition to the new school. They had a rainy day event at school and the care taker "whoshed" and showered the kids duly dressed in their wellies and brollies of course with "rain showers". It was all part of a "study of a Renoir painting, the ones with all the umbrellas" Apparently my DS was thrilled with it all and was saying "more pls" to the care taker beconing him to give him another helping of "wet"! Sounds like they had a brill time! I have started chassing the LA for the O.T provision that I have won at the July Tribunal hearing for his SEN. They are of course using every trick in the book to delay, but they will have to get on with it ASAP. Still waiting on the judge re upper tribunal.  My DD just started "rainbows" of the "rainbows, brownies and guides" genre. She loved it! More "me time" for her, so am very pleased for my deary.

Started the chemo fatigue Accupuncute study in London last Friday, will have to let you know how that goes..started back at the gym today and have enlisted the help fo the personal trainer that specialises in helping people that have had illnesses or cancer etc to get back to fitness. It is a big investment but I decided I needed all the help I could get.

Thrilled to hear all the good news here, finishing Chemo!!Arnie!! some nearing the end, texas rose and Jane, well ok Jane a few more but you are doing great!

Thinking of you all and ..dare I say it, been quite industrious in the tidying side of things too, the fall brings out the "suzy home maker" in me. Baking muffins decluttering buying houseplants and flowers, ahh.

Love and hugs all round ladies, sending you my premium quality vibes.xx

Faith! I was meaning to post you and then you posted here!

Well. Where shall I start! my 2 love the "potatoes song on the dvd" Especially my daughter!

My DS bounced happily on his "jelly bean ball" to your DVD and CD from day 1 (we've had the parcel about a week now)He especially likes the "red white and blue, I love you song" and says some of it at times. Your DVD and CD are  now a firm part of the morning repertoire of  music he likes to bounce to before school. I really enjoy it also. Some of the signs are different but that is fine. We enjoy your voice, the tunes and the lovely colours. I shall be getting more of your ditties too. Really enjoying it! Maybe I should be your U.K distributor, hehe.

    Hope you are peachy!xx

no, no house work today (or yesterday) don't know what but something really knocked me for a loop--sort of better today. Tomorrow Mom and I are on a road trip (girls gone wild?! 49 & 77?) to Vermont to see my brother & sister in law, Shelbourn Museum, King Arthur Flour store, Vermont Country store and I'm not sure what else...I HAVE to feel better by tomorrow.

Shiny- rainbows and umbrellas...gotta love it! Sounds like DS is doing well, be sure to take car of you!!

EWB, same goes for you now. Take care, shall send you a special prayer in a mo when I do my last prayer before bedtime. I do hope you can make your journey tomorrow. Vermont is such a lovely place. I used to go through Burlington Vermont on my way to Maine on our yearly trip to the coast in the summer when I was growing up. It was always so beautiful and the people were very nice too. I'd love to go there again one day, we are dreaming and half considering having a holiday in a house near the beach in Maine in the next couple of years, if we can brave putting DS through the very long flight.

Take care of yourself, if you need to postpone, you just need to. No use getting there and being flast out. Best to delay by 1 week and hav e a great time once you are better again? You know what is best, but take care now.

What a coincidence- we are going to Burlington! I worked several summers in Maine @ a girls camp...Loved it there. Much of my family is from Maine, all seamen/fishermen. A few yrs ago we took a family trip up to the area where my grandfather grew up. Found people who remembered him and my greatgrandfather..it was really neat.

sigh, what a truly lovely place. My father used to "float" on the sea, letting himself be carried on the waves, t'il I was worried, he'd go so far out, but we all really love the ocean there. Beautiful. We used to go camping around "biddeford pool and Saco. Some of my best memories.

Take care of yourself. I will think of you tomorrow, which is in less then 1 hour here..best try to sleep.

    night night

Hi Shiny! It's good to see you post! Boy, you keep busy for having chemo fatigue. How do you do it?

I have had a superficial clot in my leg for a week and a half and it never really bothered me until yesterday. Then, for some strange reason it has started to ache and sting so much!. I tried to work today, but only made it 4 hours. I called my onc and she took me off tamoxifen until she consults with a hematologist. In the mean time I am taking a baby aspirin daily to thin my blood a little bit.

I hope all my best buddy dust bunnies are doing well!

Cheryl, I also had a superficial "thrombo phlebitis" or blood clot.  Went to the ER and they did an ultrasound of both legs and pelvis to rule out a deep clot.    I am supposed to wear support hose and take one regular aspirin a day.   Don't sit in one spot a long time or stand in one spot a long time.  Walking is good.  Elevate and put warm compress on for 15 minutes at a time if it hurts.

And "MY" onco is also a hematologist, which someone told most are.

I had my annual gyn and pap smear today.   She saw 2 polyps on my cervix and said she could remove them.   When I asked if ok to drive myself home after, she said " of course ", but I will give you some pads in case it bleeds.   Her office is only a 10 minute drive  from my apartment.   Well, there was cramping and a couple of real good "ouchies".   I came home, took a tylenol 3 and slept the rest of the afternoon.   Now I wait for the results of both the pap smear and polyp removal.
