Laura
I would love to be dealing with the likes of you....LOL
When I was "their" age (Sandy and Tracey) I thought I looked pretty good in my swimsuit but hey, age does catch up with you...menopot and sagging skin....but I do have perky boobs at 55 yrs old thanks to cancer....
-
Denise.. I KNOW you would be going if you could this year.... bikini or not...
I personally only wear board shorts and tankini tops...LOL... not much showing that way... I could care less what any of you look like.. that is SO not what this is about... right girlies..:)Linda.... thank you..:)
Stephanie just reminded me it was 24 days till Vegas... WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I wonder if I will get shy as soon as I get there....bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh NOT!
-
ROBIN - NOPE! IT'S ME. I'M THE OLDEST. SO YOU ALL HAVE TO DEFER TO ME IN MY ANTIQUITY. I'LL BE RUNNING THINGS PRETTY TIGHT IN VEGAS - DOING BED CHECKS AROUND MIDNIGHT .....THINGS LIKE THAT...NOTHING TOO RIGID....

-
Deb... if you are the oldest... barely I might add... can I look LIKE YOU when I grow up???? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

-
I am so far from having the perfect body. I was pretty hot before chemo and steroids and now I am just an overweight menopausal woman who is frustrated that she can't get into her sexy clothes anymore.
I don't think you will see me in a bikini unless I am pretty drunk!
-
I love Bahama Mamas!!!! I will not wear a bathing suit, but will wear shorts (the loooong shorts) and a bathing suit top, I guess. Haven't wore one since bc and the placing of the rock (tissue expander). One high, one low. I will be a site, lol! I think it was 96 in Vegas today!
-
If we do a show on Saturday, I hope its a late one so Ill be able to go. Tracey, maybe before you plan anything you could give us a few options and times and we can see what works the best for everyone. Just an idea.
I had my surgery on Monday. I now have soft and giggly boobs. I might have to visit Bare after all. LOL

Hello Ladies, Bahama Mamas I am in, especially around the pool to deal with toned great bodies LOL (maybe I will get some inspiration and start working out)....I have a question? I am trying to get some ideas on shows and see if we can get group discounts, I know Zumanity was mentioned but only 2 people interested (it is pretty hard to get anything from Cirque). The Chippendale's at the Rio and Thunder from down under (do not remember the hotel was also mentioned). Shows in Vegas run around $50.00 (on the inexpensive side) and above. Do we want to still try to do a show together or just go out to a place like the piano bar or Coyote Ugly at NY NY. There were a couple of us that wanted to go and see LaReve at the Wynn (that is a water show, sort of like Cirque "O") Let me know if you guys want me to work on group discounts or if we want to just schedule as we go.
I cannot wait to meet all of you in Vegas
Hugs

Coyote Ugly.. they have one there... how fun...
I will go to just about any show you all want to go to.
Chippendale's and Thunder are not my thing.. so I personally will pass on those...
I just saying... Van Morrison is playing Sat. night...:)... I like any other show really....
TERESA... good to see you.. hope you are healing well!
-
Let me check and see where Van Morrison is playing and times and maybe we can do that. Thank you for the input. I remember reading here somewhere (too lazy to go and look) that we wanted to go downtown (old Vegas). We could do that one night. Let me see what I find. Any input is greatly appreciated
Hugs
Gbusse
-
yes... downtown is for sure... I LOVE downtown...:) At Mermaids.. we can get bunches of party beads....LOL..
Thank you Gbusse...
-
Deborah - Maybe they should out some rocking chairs in front of the slot machines for us old gals.
-
My sister, my daughter and a friend are coming with me. We are going to see Zumanity Sunday night at 1030. We are also going to do the Las Vegas Mob Tour on Saturday 6pm. The mob tour is only a couple hours I think. I am open to anything else but like Laura I would definitely pass on the Chippendales or Thunder down Under. Now my sister and daughter might be up for that lol. If any of you want to join us on the tour, PM me and Ill give you the info.
Im feeling pretty good today. The new girls are growing on me, well not growing....you know what I mean lol.

WOW Vegas is almost a reality!! WOO HOO!!!
I might need to get a job while I'm there to pay for everything! I have always wanted to be a showgirl!!
Please keep Susie in your thoughts and prayers. She is still having problems with infection. URGH! It just breaks my heart how they can't get that infection under control!
Also...this is a bittersweet day for me. Today marks 1 year since I was diagnosed. I don't know whether to celebrate or cry.
Thanks for always being here!
p.s. I mentioned this on Linda's thread in the pic forum...but I have started physical therapy for my lat flap recovery. I am SO GLAD I decided to do this! My recontruction isn't finished yet...and I'm not quite happy with them yet...but I took a pic of them and they do look better than I thought and a whole lot bigger than I feel they are. so weird huh.
HUGS! Janet

Janet--My diagnosis anniversary, August 11, I had a party for my girlfriends, went out for a nice dinner with DH, and generally celebrated still being here, and finally feeling physically OK after 4 surgeries. But the anniversary of my mastectomy, August 28, was much harder for me; I kept having flashbacks to that day a year ago, all day, and it was hard. I did not feel like partying that day, and it hit me harder than I expected. I guess we never know where our emotions will be....
I'm sure of one thing, though: I'm really looking forward to meeting you and Susie in Vegas!
Hugs,
Diane
-
AWE thanks Diane!! I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO MEET YOU TOO!! WOO HOO!!!
Wow isn't that the truth about not knowing where our emotions will be. urgh!
My Mastectomy anniversary date is Oct 1. I will be celebrating that day as it will be a year of being CANCER FREE!
I'm a bit concerned gang...I have NOT heard from DV8Q and I have sent her pm's with no reply! She lives so close to me yet I don't have her personal contact info...I am feeling helpless!
-

Janet - I know must have been a bittersweet day for you. Doesn't it feel like a year has come and gone way too quickly in some ways but it also feels like 5 years in some ways??? It seems like we've gone through so much that it is hard to believe we are where we are today.
My diagnosis anniversary is in October too and I just can't believe what the year has been like. If I had a penny for every tear I cried I'd be rich and if I had to give a penny for every kind word and good deed done for me, I'd be bankrupt!!! It has really shown me who my true friends are and I would not have gotten through the year without the support and love given so freely by you wonderful ta ta sisters!
-
Jazzy- What a year it has been huh? You have survived a lot. This one is for you girl... Its a brand new day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhUfVcLLvjo

NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Packer!
-
Laura I saw a comment about our clothes a while back? Pantaloons and hats were the dress code right? Oh and a Ta Ta T-Shirt. Baaaaaaaaahhhhhh

-
LOL.. At the pool... Pantaloons works for me....:)
-
lol so what are pantaloons???
-
FULL coverage pants/underpants....
( something YOU do not need...lol... you could probably wear a thing bikini and look good...:) -
ok.. but I am serious about what cloths you all are bringing...:LOL
-
Sunshine- I am glad you asked! I have been laughing about that word since I saw it. All of a sudden in the middle of my day I will think pantaloons... what a funny word....
Well I just had to go off and google pantaloons since I had no idea what one is..... well low and behold for all of you who need to do some pantaloon shopping here is a resource http://www.bloomers4u.com/pantaloons.html !
PS- Sunshine your such an inspiration with all your races. You GO GIRL!
-
Laura-I can tell you are a tiny little thing. You talk about strappy clothes! Only tiny ladies wear strappy clothes. The last time I had something strappy on was when I was about 17, lol! I am bringing whatever I can get my fat hiney into!!!
Is it too late to start a diet? lol!
-
Laura is a thing bikini something cousin IT wears? I am dying to see Sandy in that! (PG is feeling a little sassy tonight)

Okay in all seriousness- I vote we do bring something nice to go out in.
