Ill be in at 340pm, so early evening would work best for me and your right about it being very hot out at that pool area, Im all for waiting until the sun is down! Is anyone doing any shows? Cher is in concert next door at Cesear Palace. I saw Ka' at the MGM last year and it was totally amazing!

One idea for meeting: Pick 3 times, like noon, 4 pm, and 8 pm. Then those arriving later can stop by and get in on the action. Wait half an hour and see who shows up. Some place with drinks and/or food. Those who arrive earlier can check in with the new arrivals at a set time and place. Only a suggestion.

HI Beautiful Ladies,
I will be arriving in Vegas on 9/22. I have a convention for work at the Flamingo I will be attending on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am very excited to meet everyone and to be in Vegas. I love that city and all the fun it offers. A show sounds good, any suggestions? Cher sounds good, but will have to check out prices.
Susie, glad you did not have to go to the hospital.
TA TA for now, see you all in Vegas.

I am curious-are you ladies who had nodes removed getting a sleeve before flying? I had a small flare up on my hand from the lymphedema and was it ever painful. I will be getting one, for me it is better to be safe than sorry.
See ya in Vegas-Karen
-
I flew to the Dominican in May for my daughter's destination wedding and was a bit concerned, but didn't have any problems, so I'm not going to worry about it. I only had 13 nodes removed, though...
-
Supposedly anything over 5 nodes removed is cause for concern. I got a sleeve to fly from Sarasota to Atlanta. I'm not going to chance it....The sleeve is no big deal, it is sort of like support hose for your arm.. JUDY
-
I have spoke to 2 lymp specialist, my onc, my BS and several other folks. I have flown 7 times in the last year, without a sleeve. They all say the same thing, that there is no supporting evidence that says flying will cause you to develope lymphadema. If you have it, you should fly with a sleeve but I dont (and hope that continues) so I dont use one. Now I am not saying my way is right but its what Im going with based on the info I have found. I guess honestly you just have to do what your most comfortable with.

Thanks for the info on lyphedima I am super paranoid I had 24nodes removed and my finger is noticable swollen. No one seems too concerned about it, the onc's office said to call the triage nurse and she said to call my general practitioner whom I havnt been able to get ahold of, so two weeks with a swollen finger and no its not the fun one . It seems like most of us post on the exchange city board too, but for those of you who dont I had my exchange on Friday, and Tuesday is reveal day. Cant wait to get this baby off my chest. I think I will start looking for a varity of pasties instead of nipples, should be easy to find some in vegas no?
JAZZY AND SUZIE went to go look at my reservation online and I got a message saying that due to flight schedule changes a call to our reservation desk is required. Did you get this message as well? I havnt called yet.But wanted to coordnate so we are still on the sameflight

On a last note I promise,My 5 year old got bit yesterday on the hand by a female boxer-accident,caught in the middle of 2 dogs wanting her to pet them both. ER last nite, no stiches, but her hand is twice the size of the other & can't mover her fingers-5 punchture wounds. Antibotics & wash twice a day, keep arm up in air, follow up tomorrow. She has shown some true colors 'forgiving the dog & giving her love after & being a tough fighter!! My ANGEL 0:) Can you all say a prayer for her for me Please-Thank you!! The whole story is in detail on my web site if interested. www.caringbridge.org/visit/susiemears We got lucky As always...thanx for letting me share!!!

A BIG THANK YOU for all the prayers for Aurora
Her hand is doing much better, swelling is going down, turned out to be 6 punchture's,she was able to start moving her fingers yesterday. There will be some scars on the back of her hand, but as she get's older, shouldn't be bad at all!!! She was so cute on Monday, the 13th. Drew lots of hearts with her left hand & I cut them out so she could decorate our home with them for my b-day(48 now)-it was very sweet & special, best gift a Mother could ask for!!!Prayers still going out to all who need & counting down till we all get to see each other!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
