Sending prayers for Jordon, his friends and family, Amy and Linda.  This is too much sadness in one week.

I could go for that pool in Las Vegas today.

    Thanks sisters

Your prayers have been heard and God has responded.  The doctors have told Jordans parents that they feel he is going to make it now.  He squeezed his mothers hand today.  The doctors do not want him to be stimulated too much right now.  He is still on a ventilator.  I told his mom that my BC sisters were praying for Jordan's recovery and she was so thankful....She sends a hug to each one of you.  I saw my son there tonight and he had been in to see Jordan and he has really been affected by this....So many young people there again tonight.....great to see them rally around Jordan....

    God bless each of you

Linda- boy do I know where you have been with Jordan.  Wow what a wonderful blessing overnight.

whippetmom- I never thought of him as good looking per se, but totally compelling.  Oh yeah, I have a lot lot lot of stories. :)  I was lucky to spend a lot of time with him, and not as much with Patti Hansen.  She's pretty amazing.  I am pretty sure during one tour I was on in the 90s her sister was going through treatment for breast cancer, and Marianne Faithfull had DCIS in 2007:

I found this update post from holtbolt about how she told her son she won the contest- you all remember voting.  I can see in her post history she posted twice and it was about midnight so my guess is that she was just too pooped to post.  So, here's what she said- it's pretty cool!

Okay..... what a day!!!  Max is stunned.. overcome with sheer joy ... I cannot tell you how happy we are at this moment... he is texting, emailing like a crazy person... he will NOT be sleeping tonight...So, we are eating spagetti.. and we (my husband and I) decided to play the game "if you could meet anybody (dead or alive) who would it be......." So, I went first and said mine.. 1) Elvis and 2) Rod Stewart (I'm a huge fan)... then my husband went next and I don't even remember what his two were because I was so excited I wasn't listening.. and then we said Max .. who are your picks.. and I kid you not.. he says...Well, 1) Joe Perry and 2) Stephen Tyler... !!  So, I said .. you know what?  You ARE meeting them Wednesday night.... and he said "What??" with this Very confused look... like he couldn't comprehend what I just said (or he's wondering how his own mom could be so cruel as to make a joke like that I don't know (lol)..... and I started to explain and he just stared and you could tell (as we explained about the contest and people voting, etc..) that it was clickin in that this was somehow Real.. and the tears welled up and he's rubbin his eyes.. and the chin quivered a little and....... well... I have never seen him happier..... he is totally shocked... and happy and... I don't know.. .... you know... during chemo... it killed me every day seeing his face when he came in from school..... he always came in the door at 3:25 and had this scared/worried look like every day he didn't know what he'd see when he walked in (some days I looked ok (wig, makeup, somewhat normal), some days I did not.. pretty scary)... I will never forget that scared/worried look when he came through the door with this backpack.... THIS... was a different look.. this look tonight... sheer happiness and joy.. this is the best day I have had in a Very very long time... life is good SmileWe cannot WAIT for Wednesday... first we are invited to a VIP Pre show party (Joey Kramer will be there. the drummer)... food, drinks, contests for more prizes... then the meet & greet with Stephen and Joe (pictures, autographs)... then the CONCERT ... OMG.. we are so so excited... we can't stand it... (oh yeah... they also send him some exclusive Aerosmith gift bag.. stuff from the fan site store)... Ahhh!!I know this might sound silly (this contest) to some people...and I realize it's a small victory in the whole scheme of things.. but you know.. it meant a lot to me to make him smile... and this would simply NOT have happened without you guys!!!   Thank you!!

P.S.  I cut and pasted this from the other thread.. sorry if you had to read it twice!! lol  I'm exhausted! lol

Janet and all the other sisters that are praying for Jordan, my son's friend.  He had surgery today to repair the broken bones in his face.  I was at the ICC unit when they called his parents to see him since very early this morning and his mom wanted me to go with them to see him.  He was moving some and face swollen from the surgery.  He is in a drug induced coma so that his brain can heal.  I lead a prayer over him and I feel that God is going to heal him completely.  Continue to pray that he will not have any permanent brain damage from the 4-wheeler accident....Thanks everyone

    have a great 4th of July-----be safe    :-)

OK girls...I have been putting this off.....but I would like to know if any of you have had a capsular contracture.  It looks like this is what I have.  I should have known with my past experiences that things with me aren't smooth sailing.  I know that these situations are trying to teach me patience, but man it's hard when I just want it all over with.

Anyway I would love to hear from somebody who has had a capsular contracture and what did you end up doing.

I hope you all are enjoying this wonderful weekend and are surrounding yourself with family and friends!

Linda please keep us up to date on Jordan.  Thanks!

    82 days until Vegas BayBee!!!

I pray this too Linda.... I pray is is normal when waking... for his sake and his family. I bet they are a little scared today..

Jazzy girl.. what are your signs? Did you have rads.. I forgot.. also.. I am not sure I realized you had implants with your tissue surgery.. do explain. I have just been talking about Cc here.. I can tell you a little about what it looks like... give some more info to us.

  • Jazzygem

OK Laura here it goes...I didn't have rads, but I had chemo and my last treatment was Jan 20th.  It totally wiped me out.  My wbc went way down and I got celulitis on my left breast.  I was real sick and had to be hospitalized.  I then had my exchange March 10th.  It was a breeze, but my skin on the lower half of my breasts was so thin and it kept tearing.  I kept having to go in to be sewn up...also my ps knew I hadn't been happy with the size since the beginning.  He saw the sadness in my eyes and said, "I want to make you happy....this is what we can do".  So he fit me in his surgery schedule and did a lat flap with new implants.  That was on May 26th.  My muscles on the sides are still a bit swollen.  My right breast totally softened and dropped.  My left one which is the side that had celulitis twice (I got celulitis after my exchange too) is the most swollen and is hard.  My ps tried squeezing the heck out of it on my last visit.  I emailed him and told him that it's still hard.  He says that I probably have a capsular contracture on that side.  He says he's not sure if it will ever soften up until he does something to it surgically, meaning release the capsule.  I actually like the fullness and size of the hard boob and I'm not that happy with my right one.  It has this flat part in the front and my incision/scar is thick on the outer part and sticks out funny (the new skin from my back is put on my boobs vertically not horizontally).  He keeps telling me that it can all be fixed and he can make the right one bigger and he can use some of the scar tissue for a nipple.  He says there is a lot we can do.  He is mostly concerned about getting me healthy and strong before any other surgeries.  He told me in the mean time we will see how the breasts will shape, continue massaging and start taking vitamin E.  My next appt isn't until the 13th so we'll see how things go.

I'm just wondering if anybody who has had cc has had a good result with any other form of treatment.

I have my high school class reunion this month and I'm finding it hard to feel attractive.  I know I need to just get over it, but it's hard.  I had my anti depressants tweaked and I'm hoping that will help.

    So there ya go...

Janet, I am so sorry sister!

It does seem like CC. Your PS might need to release the tissue. I am NOT NOT NOT an expert.. but I DID have rads and I risk CC more than most. I do have scar tissue and will have and open Capsuectomy July 20th.

I am so sorry you are dealing with soooooooooooooooooooooooo much.. man.....

I know your PS can release the scar tissue.. and this might be it for you. I feel he is right. BUT.. the more revisions we have.. the more CC is a bigger risk. Have you have a second opinion?

    God Speed sister..

    Thanks so much Susie

The 19yr old Jordan, had a 4-wheeler accident.  Visited his mom this evening and the doctors are slowly bringing him out of the drugged induced coma, so could be days before we know if he will have a complete recovery.  The doctors have limited visits to his room for his family only.  They do not want any stimulation while he is coming off the drugs.  We continue to pray for a complete recovery.......he is a friend of my son

I hope this will be okay with everyone attending.

I hope everyone is having a nice and enjoyable evening.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  (((((HUGS))))) are sent your way.
