Thank you all for your well wishes. They really made me feel so much happier.

Lisa, you must feel so good knowing you are almost done with a job well done and i'm sure many pleasant memories were brought back to mind while you did it. How fun! you are very lucky to have a chance to do that and she will be so surprised.

I had my new chemo today. I am to have it once a month for a year. My onc said he is  being very aggresive with me and if any other meds come up for triple neg., I will be asked to see if I will do it. My onc wanted to send me to the hospital today. While getting the chemo, I had to go to the bathroom. I got kind of dizzy but more like how it is when I have a seizure. I did go into one. Next I knew I was waking up on the floor with my doc and nurse over me. Had no clue where I was. So, I had to have my daughter come get me. I did finish the chemo, tho.  And tomorrow my son goes with me. I"m not to go alone anymore.

The one "staph" infection under my arm - he thinks it isn't one. This one never went away with antibiotics and it never emptied. It's hard and about the size of a hard boiled egg. He thinks it's a lymph node.  After I finish my chemo next month, I am to have a PET scan done. Woo boy . . .

I see the nutritionist my onc. is sending me to tomorrow. This will be interesting. I look forward to meeting her and working with her on a meal plan to lose some weight. Be nice. Have lots of clothes I can fit into. Wink

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you a lot of each and every day for an easier time for all in pain, fast healing for all who had procedures/surgeries done.

My skin issue isn't a rash, but rather, bumps around my scar lines. Not on, above or below. I googled "skin mets" and it looks like some of the pictures! Yell

Linda, I still take 300 mg of Tridural every day which is a LOT of 24 hour pain meds. I don't feel specific back pain, just twinges, but I'm terrified to stop the pain meds, just in case! I get another ultrasound on July 10th, so I'll find out if he is gone for good.

Well, at least you are feeling better.  Today is my sons last 1/2 day of school for the summer so I will need to take some of your pain meds.  Can you pop some in the mail for me?  Seriously, I'm glad your feeling better.

Barbe...I hope you are wrong about skin mets. Jo-jo potatoes are just potatoes lightly battered, in a wedge form...good!

Cheryl...honey, I am so sorry you had such a tough time with your last tx. Hugs to you...you have been through so much, and still remain so positive and sweet!

Meg...I saw how the weather your way is going to be very very hot!! Stay cool.

Linda....I am so thrilled that they are done!! I had it in my head that I would finish them...but really wasn't sure I could do it! It's a huge relief to know they are done. I know she will love them...she is a picture freak like me!  I will try and take some photo's of my favorite pages and show them on here...after the party that is.

Meg...and everyone else...the party starts at 3 pm....SEE YOU ALL HERE!!

Ok..just started my work day...better get going!!

hugs to all that need it!!

Before I finish reading what was written last night I just have to say, the first post I read was Sue's post about Ruhel and Karen and the errection. I had to read it twice to figure out what in the world Sue was talking about then I remembered yesterday about Karen getting the permits to construct her house. Boy I am glad nobody was walking by my office when I realized what Sue was talking about and I didn't have a mouthful of water.

Catch up with the rest later.

Barbe...I don't make them...haha. they come with the chicken I ordered. I just know they are good! But, I am a huge potato lover!

Val...150...that's adults, kids...but it's like an open house..so they will come and go, from 3pm on. I have 3 full baths, if needed..haha.  I have a big tent coming..that will be butted up to the opening of the garage...tables set up in the garage with the food, etc..and then tables and chairs under the tent. We will have a few yard games too.  I even borrowed my sisters light up palm tree..it's really different..I like it..not plastic...anyhow..since Olivia is moving to Florida..I thought I would add that to the deco's.

Like I said..if any of you can make it...I'd love to have you!!  the more the merrier.

Val...thank God..we have had sun..and it stopped raining.  It's going to be 85 and sunny here! You all on the east coast need some sun..no more rain!

Just popping in to say good morning. Yesterday my Mom had surgery to remove the polyp, did well and should be home by the end of the week. They are going to re-biopsy because it was so large and not looking too good. I think the surgeon is suspicious that is cancerous. We'll know in 3-5 days. I'm heading back to hospital...hope everyone has a lovely, peaceful SUNNY day (well ... rain to those in need of it)

Hi everyone. The sun finally broke through here, this morning, too. Just in time. Emily's graduation is tonight at 5:30. I hope the rain holds off. I've taken two days of from work to deal with this extravaganza.

Lisa, so glad you got the books done. And now you can relax and enjoy the party. Emily is still deciding whether she wants a grad party or not. She has several to go to over the next few weeks, so it wouldn't be until sometime in July, and she thinks that's too late. I don't, but then why do I have to talk her into it?

Karen, congrats on the permit! Construction will have it's own set of problems, but the first hurdle is down! (And Sue, we do say "construction")

Cheryl, a bad reaction while getting chemo is always scary. No one wants to think that they might have to stop the chemo prematurely. I'm glad you will be bringing someone with you from now on.

Meg, I always thought MN was cold and wintry year round until I visited a friend in Minneapolis in August. Ugh! The flies! Of course, I also visited this same friend in late December and it was  cold and wintry so my belief was substantiated at least part of the year.

Linda, aren't you getting some of our sun today? The clouds haven't totally dissipated, but the sun is breaking through often enough that I needed sun glasses this morning.

Val, the trip is getting closer...what are the plans?

Jane, so glad you've popped in. I'm still in awe that this is a "global" thread. We've got people all around the world posting.

Nancy....if she isn't wanting a party...DON'T PUSH IT!! lol...so much work.  Olivia has had parties to go to every weekend since her graduation on May 31st!  She has some to go to in July...and they graduated weeks ago.  I think whenever you can have it is fine.

Elaine...sorry about your mom..we will think positive thoughts..NO BOOTFACE!!

Elaine prayers for mom,  Cheryl so sorry about your crappy day,  UGH Bootface.

Lisa congrats on the finished product,  you sure are busy,  and yes parties sure are a lot of work.  I have already begun to think about our annual Halloween party,  hoping life lets it go without any hitches,  we shall see.

Barbe YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE SKIN METS -  I HAVE SPOKEN - LOL xoxoxoxoxox

Yes waiting for the insurance company is such a joy - idiots .

I so hope we get some rain soon to back off this humidity,  it is really bad,  worse than normal even for Florida,  I can take all the heat there is,  but the humidity just takes your breath away.  Even Margo hates to go outside.   I just don't know how those who work outside do it.  I don't think our A/C shuts down at all -  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$  and we keep it at 78 degrees. and we have 10  ceiling fans throughout the house.

    FEELIN HOT-HOT-HOT!!!!!!!Cool

Cathi, May I join you with the idiots who are making decisions about treatment. When I went for my therapy at the rehab section of Quest 4 Life I used my medical spending card (WW) to pay for my therapy. the first bill for evaluation was $162 dollars, then they had me pay different amounts each visit to get up to my $400 deductible (2 @ 100, 1 @ 38). The company who administers the medical spending card has rejected the $162 charge but has approved all other charges. I misplaced the receipt from Q4L and they faxed me a copy of the receipt which shows the account number, date and amount charged. I in turn faxed it with the required verification form to WW on Friday. Yesterday I get an email stating that the receipt was denied by WW. I called WW and they said that I need a detailed receipt showing what was on that charge. I called Q4L and she said that their usual fee for evaluation was $162 and if I needed a detailed receipt, I needed to call the billing dept at the hospital. It took me 3 tries for someone to pick up the phone (I let the phone ring at least 10 times before hanging up), They are mailing me a detailed receipt to fax back to WW to get this charge approved. I have to get it approved before they suspend my card privledges, I have over $1000 left to spend before the end of the year and I am going to get my new glasses in 2 weeks.

And Cathi, 3 of my 4 ceiling fans have quit on me and I don't know how to fix them other than replace them and boy do I miss them! Fortunately yesterday and today the humidity is lower here than it was over the weekend. Money is tight everywhere. Donald got an 'incident' put on his record at his trucking company (not on his license) where he backed into another semi in a truck stop and busted the front fender (fiberglass) of the other truck and he has to pay his company $500 to cover the damages. Fortunately they do have payroll deductions. they are taking $50 for the next 10 weeks.

You may join me Shelia,  I had BCBS until January and had very few issues with them,  I know a lot of ladies say they have problems,  I now have United HIPPA appoved policy (that cost mega $$$$$ -  worse than the COBRA with BCBS) and they plain stink -  I have never had a lapse in insurance sense I was old enough to work and get my own,  and while my BC is not supposed to be in a pre-existing clause because of my continued coverage,  I think they do their best to limit you  -  Oh well I'll do what I have to do to get the scans if they deny, I am hoping they will at least approve the X-ray in a speedy fashion that will at least be a starting point.  IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!

Ok ladies I have a dilema!!!!!

I work for the State Dept of Fish & Wildlife in admin and I was just choosen to pitch the first ball at a baseball game in one of the largest cities in the state to represent our agency...the trouble is...1) I dont know a thing about baseball, 2) I HATE being the center of attention.

When I approached these two issues they said: You dont have to know baseball, you just gotta stand out there on the pitchers mount, smile, wave at the fans and throw the ball, the catcher catches it then runs it out to give me as a momento.

Obviously my co-workers have alot more faith in me to do this than I do but Im going to give it a try....hopefully I wont shame the entire agency...this is the first time a woman has been chosen as well as a breast cancer survivor...

I dont know for sure who submitted my name for this but believe me when I find out.....boy are they gonna get paid back!!!!!!

My question to you ladies is: how do I do this without seeming visably nervous???

Im going to refer to Sues initial heading on this thread: "PLEASE HELP!!!"

    Hugs

    Jule

Jule, pitch UNDER hand. Not overhand. As "girls" we tend to throw wild when we try to get distance. If you throw underhand and don't make the distance, everyone will understand. Woo hoo!

(I was thinking of your DH today. Is all okay?)

    Jule,

Just remember that in a large stadium, you are pretty far away from most of the people in the seats.  99.9% of the people in that stadium won't recognize your face on the way to the parking lot after the game, so don't worry, these are strangers you never have to deal with again.

Since this is work related, you should be able to enlist the help of your co-workers to practice throwing the ball far enough to get to home plate and the catcher's mitt.  Concentrate on the action, not on who is around you.

You'll recognize the catcher, he's the guy wearing lots of padding and a cage over his face. That is part of his uniform, so don't believe anyone who tries to tell you it's just to protect him from you.
