Congrat's Laura-feel's good doesn't it having everything booked!!!

Nancy-just Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing-you look GREAT!!! I had forgotten about my Look good feel better seminar that Celilo did for us in The Dalles-brought back fond memories. I had a heck of a time drawing my eyebrow's LOL I also got to learn how to apply make up more current to date & get out of the 70's look LOL LOL I didn't try on any wig's-major staph all over my bald head,but....I had this really cool cheetah hat that I had worn & they all wanted it!! The Girl's really made us FEEL BETTER & LOOK WONDERFUL!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Hey I thought I'd share the story done on me,will give you a face to put with the name
http://www.providence.org/hoodriver/news/hc_0109_ccare.htm it was done a few months ago, made me feel very special-my daughter is in it as well. (I just tried this to make sure it would work,it doesn't sorry-if your wanting to still read it go to www.caringbridge.org/visit/susiemears then go to journel & on page 5 Monday Feb 9th entry, you will see the site & can click on it from there-SO sorry about the extra work)
Next just want you all to know I had a Great weekend-field trip to Zoo with Aurora's pre-school class on Friday, RELAY for Life Saturday in The Dalles-even got out & tried Jazzercise(thought of you Jazzy),werid sunburn, Sunday...Father's day spent with my Hubby & Dad along with brother(whom I haven't seen since all the Cancer started)& my Sister-who showed up Saturday to surprise me at the relay-was the best weekend I've had in a very long time.
The reason I'm telling you all this is because I've ended up with yet another infection from the surgery 2 weeks ago. I knew something was up when it started to turn green, then the smell, been there ...done that....know what it is after all this time. I got the new's yesterday that it did in deed turn into MERSA,on antibiotic's for 5 day's to see if that will take care of it,if not back into the hospital. Had a big break down last nite, couldn't stop the tears, found another staph & not in a fun spot-trying to think positive. So...power prayers & hoping this will take care of it.
Thanx for letting me share Love ya SISTA'S
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Calling all my Vegas bound breast cancer sisters . can you do me a favor? I know this is off the topic and I hope it's okay to post this but...I am trying to win a contest for my son (to meet his idol - Joe Perry, Aerosmith)... all you have to do is click on this link and click on the thumbs up icon to vote for our entry (legit site, legit contest, MOST deserving young man!)... can you please help me? Just trying to bring a little joy into my son's life after all this depressing /chemo stuff... voting is only June 23-26... please vote? It'll only take a second... help me bring joy to this boy!
Thank you so much! P.S. It says you can only vote once, but if you have more than one computer I think you can vote twice.. lol We are only in second place by about 30 votes and voting ends Friday!!!http://www.aeroforceone.com/index.cfm/pk/view/cd/NAA/cdid/1177058/pid/1175576

Sorry gals not too much to say...Definitely going to Vegas though I could use the vacation sooner rather than later though! My cancer support buddy (my BF's mom) has been diagnosed terminal. She had ovarian and edometrial last year, had surgery, went through chemo. A month after she finished treatment I got diagnosed so she helped me through it, and now its back for her. Things are not going so well between the BF and I and tensions are high, were talking eggshells. On the bright side only 23days until my exchange surgery and 93days till Vegas. I am taking a course over the summer so I will have to bring my laptop to keep up. PS I know we are saving for Vegas but ..the ladies and I from my Starbucks are doing the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. If you can spare a 5.00 or whatever please donate on our/my behalf. We are the "15th and Fremont Sirens" My name is listed as Q Quinn if you want to look at my personal page. Thanks.
-
{{{Quinn}}} I AM SO SORRY!!! I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!!
Are you sure you don't want to be a part of our team "The TaTa Sisterhood"?? We are walking Sept 20! Maybe we can walk with your team.
-
KEW and I will be posting a new thread to build our team for the Komen Race for a Cure Sept 20 in Portland OR. So those in Oregon and SW WA start making plans to join us!!!
-
Sam...Who does your son play for? Big Football fans here. Duck fans to be exact.
It's looking like I can't go. {bottom lip hanging out} Business isn't good right now. We count on a big spring/summer to get us through the year.
Might be able to do the walk in Portland though. What is needed?
-
Laura,
I am for sure going and bringing my friend Kristina.
-
I'm 90% sure.
All depends on the economy.... -
I have to cancel I am having my surgery in Sept.
-
The king of pop is dead. Michael Jackson died of cardic arrest today. I don't guess we will be seeing him in Vegas......also Farrah died today.....she fought hard to stay alive.
My prayers are with their families.....
-
A few of my friends in the industry were just rehearsing with him in LA yesterday. They were going to tour with him in London. It's very sad. I agree with you Linda....prayers to both their families, friends and colleagues.
-
ReneeS....My son will be playing football for Chapman University in Orange. I'm excited for him. Have to spend my pennies on airfare to Cali...maybe the 2nd ta ta reunion will be in my budget..LOL. Looking forward to meeting sisters for the walk in Portland on the 20th of September.

I'm going to Vegas. I wouldn't miss it for the world!
-
Awwe Jazzy I wish I knew earlier. My work decided to participate in the race when I was out doing chemo. I didnt even know untill I returned to work! But I will keep an eye out for my fellow TATA ladies, it shouldn't be hard to find eachother right? Lets both wear pink.
. In any event I will see you on the plane a few days after the race! I think I will need to prep for Vegas by watching all the vegas films possible
Leaving Las Vegas
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
And that one with Nicholas Cage and the Elvis impersonators
-
I kind of grew up with Michael as we were the same age (though I've already turned 51 this year). I would give myself 'reality checks' every once in a while. At 13, I was listening to 45`s of his; he was singing them!, At 17 I was in high school listening to him; he was creating himself! He got the fame and fortune; I got the house and kids. He got the bad publicity; I turned a blind eye....etc.
