Yah, but my DH had a growth on his wrist and the doc tried smashing it and my husband hit the ceiling! Oh, says the doctor, I guess it's not a ganglion! Yell

Hi everyone!  I came home Sunday evening and haven't had a chance to pop in until now.  The beach was fun, but of course, I didn't get much sleep (dh snores like a buzzsaw).  I'm still recovering.  I'm one of those people who needs at LEAST seven hours of sleep a night, otherwise, I'm a walking zombie.

Cathi, I'm praying for Jaclyn.  I hope her procedure goes well.

Love and hugs to all.  I have so much unpacking and cleaning left to do.  Blech!!!!

    bbl,

    Karen

Karen, I use ear plugs, the soft orange ones you get in a pharmacy like WalMart. They work wonders! I've given up trying to get my DH to stop snoring so these are wonderful!

Cathi, I've been thinking of you and Jaclyn. I've been reading but had no time to post, so I'm just checking in to see how things went yesterday.

Karen, I love the beach. There's no place else I'd rather be in almost any weather (hurricanes excepted). I hate the summers I'm so busy that I look back on Labor Day and say, "I didn't get to the beach at all!"

Lisa, have you mastered the Photobucket problem?  I'd love to see Olivia in her prom splendor. My Em's isn't for another few weeks. We're still shopping for accessories.

AE & UB...envy doesn't BEGIN to describe how I feel about your trip to England. We want pictures if we can't go along, too! Posted within 2 hours (got to borrow Sue's computer to upload them). We're a demanding lot, aren't we?

Barbe, have a good time in the DR. One of my brothers goes there a lot for vacations. His ex wife is 1/2 Domincan, so I think he has thing for Latin women. Anyway, he thinks the place is a paradise. So strange that it shares the same island as Haiti, but has such a different reputation. I guess it's the government. We want pictures of this event, too!

    Hi All,

Well Jaclyn had the LEEP Procedure Tuesday the procedure went without any problems, however it was discovered that she had 9 areas or abnormal and/or malignat cells.  Tissue was removed from all, the DR is pretty confident in that in 5  of the suspect areas she was able to remove all the "bad" cells. But of coarse ubtil the biopsy results come bak we no nothing for sure (they won't be back until 5/27 -UGH!!!!!!!!!)

So I asked what happens next if there are not all clear margins,  her DR said they go back and do it again, same procedure - Well I personally find that crazy, I guess thats because I have done the whole BC thing, I realize all CA is diffrent, but if I had 9 suspicious/malignat/abnormal lumps in my breast at any one time -  what would I do.  This was the first time I actually saw Jaclyn "freaked" out.

I wish I could find a good forum for Cervical CA for her and me, I am completely oblivious as to what to ask DR's even with all the reading I have been doing, it seems the "protocal" is to keep cutting/burning away until all bad areas are gone, then they treat/monitor.

Well...Cathi..a bit of "good" news in there..that they felt 5 areas were clear of all bad cells.  Sorry that you have to wait for soooooooo long!!  I don't know much about cervical cancer..and the procedures. I hope all news is good on the 27th!!! Hugs to both of you!

To the ladies with men with buzzsaw snoring.

Get him to a sleep test. They are the most amazing soft beds and the wires and stuff keep you firmly in place. You will have the most wonderful sleep that night. The next morning, you get dressed, they take the leads off and give you a diagnosis. In Ontario, usually a salesman will come to your door. The machine CPAP (Continual Pressured Air P....) the mind is going. It is a machine that costs some $1600 but the Assistive Devices pays the first 75 percent. And if you have insurance they will pay 80-100% of the remainder. Mine was $1600, ADP paid $1200. My insurance paid $320 so I was left with a bill of $80. I had to pay by cheque the $400 but they had us post date so we could get the insurance portion into the bank account.

The reason Im saying this is as we get older we can develop sleep apnea, causing the snoring. And it is not just the sound but the bed can vibrate too. If your man has sleep apnea, the first night with the machine will give him an adrenalin rush the next morning. He will finally have enough oxygen during sleep.

I have a CPAP machine so that is why I know all this. Sometimes weight loss or quitting smoking will make the machine unnecessary. But dont throw it out..... weight fluctuates, and quitting smoking is hard to do.

Two of my sisters use a CPAP and it has worked wonders.  The first sister tested stopped breathing so many times during the first hour of the test they slapped a CPAP on her and told her she had sleep apnea.

Now, they have a computerized glove you wear to bed to test for sleep apnea - you can sleep in your own bed.

Hey I am still wide awake but I haven't received any emails nor pix from you Lisa. Now I am guessing that the file sizes (not the sizes of pix) were a tad too bigger than your email attachment and Photobucket limit so you weren't able to upload them on Photobucket and the pix didn't get sent via email either? Right-click on the pix file and select "properties" and see what it says. If it says like 50 MB (depending on your email attachment size limit), you will have to resize it. If that's the case, I will let you know how you can do that. Or maybe you can try and email me all the pix separately, one attachment per one email?

Judie, sorry if I was being nosey and upset you. That wasn't my intention. Frown

Ooooohhh......I'm so anxious to see the photos of Olivia!  I don't care how "awful" the pic of you is, Lisa!  I want to see what your hair looks like now!  I'm sure you look gorgeous.

Cathi, I'm so sorry you have to wait so long for the biopsy results.  Hopefully, they won't have to do the procedure many more times.  ((((((((Cathi and Jaclyn))))))))

Thanks for the suggestions regarding dh's snoring.  Dreamwriter, there's no WAY he'll go in for a sleep study.  I've suggested it countless times.  I know he must have sleep apnea---he sounds like he's suffocating.  It's kind of unnerving to listen to!

    Love and hugs to all,

    Karen

Cathi, I'm still trying to digest what the procedure did. So in 5 places she THINKS she got it all. That means in FOUR places she KNOWS she didn't? What am I missing here?
