AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8

Oops, Kris.
-
Clear winners last night.....Adam, Kris, and Danny. I really liked Matt last night, too. Hope he is not in the bottom three tonight.
-
I agree with Patty. With Matt last night though, I think being in the bottom two last week has really done a number on his confidence. It looked like he was even struggling to smile. Too bad , I liked him but if he continues like that, he will end up at the bottom again which is a shame.
I also agree that Megan has to go. Hubby gets almost irate when she comes on, he dislikes her that much and that is very out of character for him.
We shall see tonight!
-
Megan and Anoop have got to go soon--hopefully, Megan tonight!
Anne

As always, I'm a day late and a dollar short! I just found this thread and have been having lots of fun reading your comments. I've liked Adam from the start. He has the poise and confidence and can sing about anything but there are still several really good singers left. I also like Chris and despite her appearance this week.........Alison. You're so right, Always Hope. Megan needs to go.
I'm so glad I found this thread. Hope you don't mind if I join late!
-
I must have been having a brain fade last night because I couldn't find this thread at all! I was so excited last night I actually voted...I'm usually in bed watching and don't bother but man, the guys rocked it last night! I couldn't decide between Danny, Kris, Adam and Matt. I think Matt had his worst night, and I agree that last weeks bottom three seems to have done a number on his confidence because he just didn't seem like he was in the zone. But the other 3 were awesome! Scott and Megan (Joy?) have got to go though...they both work my last nerve listening to them. They are better than me yes, but not good enough to still be there...can't wait until tonights show...
-
Oh thank God, Megan Joy is gone! What was with her tonight? She was acting like she was drunk and told Simon she just didn't even care. (bet she's regretting that now)
Anne
-
Anne I was thinking the same thing...I actually asked my husband if she was on something! She was acting really weird. I am so glad she is outta there!!!
-
I missed the show...but as soon as I got home I turned on the tube to see who went. THANK GOD she is gone!!!
-
Yeah, I missed the week that Alexis (girl with pink streak in hair) got kicked off. I can't believe Megan outlasted her. She (Alexis) must have made a really huge mistake to have gotten kicked off with Megan still there.
-
I liked Megan at the very first, cause she seemed different, but she has been getting worse and worse as time goes on. I thought she behaved terribly last night. I too am glad she's gone.
-
I agree. Megan needed to go! Evidentally many other people shared our opinions!
-
I'm thrilled that Megan is GONE! What was that "bird" thing she was doing?! She's a little too wacky and shrill for my tastes. I like Anoop, but I think that he will be going next week. After that....Scott. And then the fun will really begin! Everyone else there is so talented, I imagine that they will just have to really make some awful gaffe for the judges/viewers to pick the best. I think that it's going to be really difficult this season.
Carol
-
Also glad Megan is gone. She definitely wasn't better then the rest. It was her time to go. I believe she also knew she was going and was trying too hard to put up an "It's okay" front. In the end, she let her disappointment in leaving (which is as it should be) show.
Anyway, can't wait to see what Adam does next week!
-
I think it will get interesting when Anoop, Scott and Matt are gone. If it works that way. My top 3 favorites are Danny, Adam and Kris, but I like lil and Allison too.
-
I'm happy Megan is gone, but I can't believe that Allison was in the bottom 3 and Matt wasn't, go figure. My favorites are Danny, Chris, Allison and Lil.
Shelley
-
Well, remember how I thought Adam was awful? I guess I've changed my mind. He is so far above the rest.
-
I liked Adam and Allison the best tonight. I think its time for Scott to go even though he sure is a very nice guy. He just isn't in the same league with the rest.
-
Do you guys know what I realized tonight? Scotts constant arguing with the criticism addressed to him got under my skin. I always thought he was so sweet but it just grated on me......
I so looked forward to Adams turn every week. I have total confidence that he will turn out a perfect performance each time he steps in front of the camera. I think I'm in LOVE.

-
LOL artsee.. ME TOO!
-
My favorites tonight --Adam, Alison and Danny--I really think Scott and Anoop have got to go soon--their singing is just not that great.
anne
-
The reason Adam got on my nerves at first is because there's a terribly fake look about him; last night I realized it's because he's actually blonde and dyes his hair and eyebrows black. I have always thought that makes for a horrid look.
-
You ladies are too funny, I think I'M in love too! Adam is awesome...so is Danny! I'm so glad Alison did better with the judges, she is amazing for someone her age. Please, if there is a GOD, let Scott be gone tonight. His performance was like nails on a chalk board! Totally the wrong song for him. He sings better than I do, but no where near as good as the rest of the contestants! I hope I can stay awake for the whole show - I only slept 3 hours last night (menopause insomnia).
-
I remember that menopause insomnia...can I just say that it does get better. I had no idea that Adam is blonde! I had wondered if he got his dark hair from a grandparent. LOL.
-
Wow! Adam is my man!!! That guy can sing just about anything! I agree that Scott needs to go, but must admit that Kris disappointed me this week, too. I didn't think his performance was as good as usual and I'm not real impressed anymore with Lil. Scott and Anoop are way behind the others in the talent category. I can't wait to see who goes tonight!
-
Artsee- I agree, Scott's argumentative ways are grating on my nerves too!
I see Adam, Matt and possibly Allison in the top 3.
-
Yep! Time for Scott to go! He made such a poor song choice. I love the song, but you really have to have a BIG voice (like Danny) to make that song work. It's a rock ballad, and he just doesn't have the voice for that.
Adam was great last night!
Anoop, who I think is just adorable, is too inconsistent. Good one week, bad the next. He does better with the more mellow songs.
Matt was also good last night! He may be a contender...
Rita, I agree, Lil is not cutting it with me anymore.
Hugs, Carol
-
I'm on the west coast and DVR'd it (was busy doing something else so didn't watch live) - totally pissed that the show went long - they didn't even show Adam in the hour ... the judges and Ryan S talked too long. Dang it - the show is pre-recorded for the west coast - you'd think they could cut some stuff and get it right so that it will fit within the hour - if I were Adam I'd be really ticked off ... who knows how many others are like me and don't watch live ...
watching Scott was painful last night .... loved Danny and loved Alision. Anoop is hot and cold. Last night he was on again .... but for how long ?? Have to agree with the judges - Lil was a copy cat last night ... I just knew when she was walking out that she was in trouble - copying Tina Turner's moves ... also didn't care for the other guitar guy that surrounded himself with girls while he performed ... I normally like him - but not last night. Can't remember his name right now...
Doreen
-
Scott is sweet, but I'm glad he went home finally. I think Anoop will be next.....
Anne
-
I am all for Adam, I had no idea he was blond, he is a very attractive young man even if he does dye his hair. I would love to see what he looks like natural though.
