American Idol season 8 starts tonight!  There are supposed to be alot of changes to the show this year including the addition of a fourth judge.

OH YEA!!! I know people laugh at me but I follow AI and love watching it!! Cant wait till tonight. It will be nice to see a couple of changes though. I had thought of starting a topic on this. (my dh is going to laugh when I tell him I have a thread with woman who like it too) sure hope this takes off and goes all season. Thanks for starting it!!...Janet

So Janet.  What did ya think?  They had some really good talent go through I think. I felt bad for the boy with the bass voice.  He must get tired of everyone asking him if that is his real voice.  Loved the last guy at the end.  The cat fight with the girl in the bikini and Kara was pretty funny.  Boy, Paula and Kara didn't want her to go through but the guys did.

Bikini chick basically told Kara that her version of the song stunk and that is when Paula stood up and it was too funny for words.  Paula and Kara did NOT want her to go through.  I don't think bikini chick will last very long even though she made it through this time.  But it should definitely be interesting.  After she came out with her 'golden' ticket she went out and practically chased Ryan Seacrest and gave him a full on the mouth kiss.  Ryan then said 'boy this season is going to be fun' or something like that.

Thanks hon! Appreciate it, was mad that my sis in law had to call then! LOL..........guess she figured the bikini would help her chances.........I liked the girl that was tatooed all over, believe she was the first one....she had a great voice..........

I agree Deb...the tattooed girl who sang the Heart song was awesome.

I look forward to the Idol season.  It's fun to see it weeded out to the great talent and where they go from the show.

I had gotten kind of jaded with AI until last season when I really finally felt that the two at the end were the ones who really deserved to be there.  I would have been happy with either David winning last year but David Cook was my favorite.

I agree....David Cook was more "seasoned."  David Archelleta was good - but he had some "growing" to do.  Like you said, the right man won.

Oh, I forgot...tonight the 'oil rig' man.  I really really liked him.  He seemed to have the same humility as David Cook and could really sing well.  I would like to see him go far in this comp.

I think we will see huge things from David Archelleta, he sings too good and is too good looking.

I am loving idol this year.  My fav so far is the blind guy, he sings good, got great personality, I just post on the church face book to schedule everything around american idol. LOL

O.K. I'm back.It was a pretty good show tonight. I'm a couple of hours behind you guys so my posts are going to be late. I could cheat and read everyones post before the show I think the blind guy no matter what happens has that personality that he will succeed. I'm really bad remembering their names so I'll have to really try this year so I dont have to resort to decriptions of how they looked or what they were wearing. Looking forward to tomarrow night! The show that is coming on after it (A guy that can tell if your telling the truth) looks intresting but will have to wait and see.....Janet

Here is my solution for guilt free watching American Idol-Exercise! I get out my yoga mat, my free weights, my mini tramp, and my exercise ball, and instead of sitting there, I keep doing exercises. The music is great, well later on anyway, when they get rid of all the idiots.  No more guilt! You can even tell those pesky SIL's that you are working out so please call back later!

Deb....I don't answer the Phone that is my DH's Job when this is on!!! Last nite the dogs chose to need to go out when the "BIKINI FLOOSY" was on! So I missed part of it!!!Yell But I was able to get a recap from several ppl including DH! So All was not lost! Although it could of been! LOL!!! She can Sing I will give her that but....I saw much better talent last night from other. 

My Only beef this YEAR is that my work Hours have changed......I now have to be at work at 10 p.m. eastern time. That means I will have to tape the last 1/2 hour so I don't miss a thing like Last nights ending & the Blind man! See I already missed....I want his name! I think I have a line on a neighbor that Tivo it last night so I will see it in a few days. Anyway I will get my VCR ready for tonight & be ready! Then I will Sharpen my Listening Ears for Key Notes that I take into consideration of someone that is worthy of going on!

Did that guy that jumped up and down like he was made out of 'puddy' not make you crazy? I was finding myself bouncing along with him while lying in my bed. I'm glad this was started, because I enjoyed the conversation and 'disection' of AI last year. I think the fellow that loves making 'bloody horror' home movies may have something here.

I thought the girl in the bikini was awful and for a minute there I thought Paula was going to have her thrown out!  I like the new judge, Kara, she seems like she will add a lot to the show.What an awesome voice she has herself!

O.K. it's started....The BOYS didn't need to be so harsh on the 1st one but.....Oh well I'm glad there is another Woman there to even the Judging field.

I Like #2 but if she gets further she is gonna have to watch the Words....
