I've stayed at a bunch of the hotels including Excalibur and they are all wonderful! As long as you are around other hotels to check stores and shows then everything is really at your fingertips. Cabs may only be needed once (or twice).

If I don't go with my husband, I'd love to be in a room with a bunch of you crazy ladies. Should we post ages? Smoking/non? Drink/no?

That's a good idea. Jeez...I'm in Vegas 3-4 times a year and never thought about that. Good Lord!!!! If i had, I'd have saved enough money to go 5-6 times a year....LOL.

Spelling is over rated!!!!!!! Remember the spelling bees where you won a dictionary. Cripes....if one was good enough to win the contest, who'd need the dictionary..LOL

Laura: 41..non smoker..wine drinker... but just might party a little more in Vegas..:) or not... or might... :).... smoking gets to me.. but drinking does not.

It's funny, everything looks so close until you actually start walking! I am 48, nonsmoker, light drinker (wine, wine coolers, and the high calorie pina coladas and margaritas)

Everything is VERY far! We spent $20 on a taxi just to get out of the strip!

I will be 51, am a non-smoker, been known to drink, but don't presently (no probs with it), have Fibromyalgia which may require a cane so don't be surprised.

    Hello all

I have been busy cleaning house today....did not get much done during the week....wow, you all are just having a great conversation here!!!

Laura, the shampoo bandit is sooooo funny.  He had the nerve to go back into a salon that he had already pulled the stunt on!!!!  real idiot.....I will make sure that I never let anyone go out to their car for anything  LOL    At least they caught him.........

I am 55 but wait, on the real age test I am 30 so I can keep up with the younger crowd with no problem....they just might have a problem keeping up with me especially the person who tested to be 13 ain't that right Laura?  hehehehe

OK  I am 55, non-smoker, do not drink but have no problem being around it, do not mind being in a room with 3 other crazy women as long as they keep their farts to themselves....lol

I have a great idea, why don't we all get a pink ribbon tattoo!!!!

Laura honey, I do appreciate your offer to pierce my belly buttton while in Vegas but I think I will pass on that one......don't think it would look all that great on a MENOPOT......But bring your scissors and I will let you cut my hair.....opps, I forgot, the airlines would confiscate your scissors......scrap that idea.....

    need spell check !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK have to share this one......today I put on my fipples and a tight fitting cammy and when DH saw me he said "must be cold in here"        OK, not that funny but it was at the time....

going to check on facebook before I go to bed EARLIER tonight.......

Love the pink ribbon tattoo idea!

I can joined the pierced belly button crowd. I change my boring ring up in the summer for a cute little pool jewel. Got mine done when my son was 5. Wow...almost 13 years ago. Made my PS promise not to wreck it when he was in there sucking out the fat!!

Well, depends on what kind of room you like?  Paris is grand, big, beautiful rooms. Mostly adults. Really gorgeous decor and free drinks while you play the slots or tables. The restaurants are really fantastic. And plenty of price variety. The boulangerie is exquisite!!!  It's located central mall, so it makes for easy walking to Bellagio, Caesars Palace, NYNY, MGM, Mirage, Harrah's.  I don't mind paying a bit more to stay at the primo place---I think we deserve to splurge a little. This would be my #1 choice. It's where we stay when we go to Vegas. (about 4 x per year)

The Excalibur is more family related. We've stayed there with our kids when they were younger, and attended the big fighting knight extravaganza horse show.  Clean, but smaller rooms. And it is way, way at the south end of the strip, so you'd need transpo to get anywhere else.

The Paris is a class act.  Both are safe hotels and we'd have fun at either place.

    Hi Gals

Happy to say made it back home safe from Jared's game

they won all 3 of there games and got to be champs

I'm 41 and very active.  I'm a non smoker but do enjoy a few drinks.  You gals will have to remind me to stop around 4-6 or I can be known to get a little wild (no not me Surprised )

I don't have my belly button pierced but like the thought of that Laughing

Last time we stayed at the flamingo which I do like that area because if I remember right it was right in the middle of everything.  But it musant (oh do I ever need spell check lol ) be as fancy because it's a cheaper place to stay at also.

Ah, did I mention . . . I'm 55, definitely enjoy a drink or two, and especially when I'm in Vegas. (whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!!) I'm a non-smoker, and quiet non-snoring sleeper.

Now I know why Laura's and Linda's hair looks so fantastic---they're in the business!  I'm jealous of your fantastic hair styles.  I'm am going through a bad hair month or two.  Egads!   I am a retired cop.  I can't do belly piercing, but if we run into any problems I am pretty darn good at martial arts. Cool  And I definitely know how to have fun---been retired for 9 years now.

Finishing up spring cleaning Linda...?? My dh started today.. he is so much better at cleaning than I... I owe it to the military training he got!!!

I KNEW you would love Yvonne story.. OMGosh,. It was so funny... our industry is eccentric.. to say the least!

I may have the body of a 13 yr old ( with foobs) but I will say, I am as smart as a 15 yr old! ROFLOL

Tattoo.... ( confession)... I have one. :) my 30th yr was... memorable. ~wink~ I went to a DO to get it.. I am not sure about tattoo parlor.. :)....

I would LOVE to have the honor of cutting your hair Linda... maybe we can buy some shears when we get there...:) :)

And I now understand MENOPOT.. WHAT THE HECK... I HATE THIS.. I am going to start Zumba here to try to get my figure back before summer...:)...my bellyring looked better at 30..:)

Marilyn,  Nice to know that we will be well protected with you along!!!    Thanks for the compliment on the hair....Mine is real hair and I will let Laura comment on hers.....I do need a haircut realllllly bad.....Maybe I will get one on Monday.

I forgot to mention that I will sometimes snore if I get on my back but with a little pinch, I mean punch, I will turn over and not make another sound....

    Laura,

Appreciate the haircut offer but we ARE NOT going to WORK while in VEGAS

OK, my turn! I'm 47, nonsmoker, light drinker (sounds like most of us), HATE being hung over so I usually switch to Diet Coke after a couple drinks. I do not sleep or play well with others ... oops, I DO play well with others, but not sleep! I change positions at least 30 times a night and would be so paranoid about waking up my bedmate that I'd probably lie there awake all night not moving and be useless the next day. So you better mark me down for a 2-person room. I probably won't be able to go for the whole 3 days. Most likely I'd come on Friday and go home on Sunday.

I have no preference on where we stay -- just that we all get together and have FUN! I've never been to Vegas so it's all the same to me anyway. And I say we put Marilyn and  Linda together since Marilyn has the martial arts experience -- now THAT sounds like a good way to stop a snorer!LOL

Pink ribbon tattoo?? I'm in!! How fun would that be? Maybe we could design a Ta Ta Sisterhood tattoo!! :)

Oh, and I'm a proofreader/copy editor, so I'd be happy to do some spell checking on the side while Linda and Laura are cutting hair!Smile hehe

OOOOOOHHHHHHH that was a FUNNY one!!! LOL!! I welcome sleeping with Linda.  I take on the challenge!! It would be just like home for me. My DH rolls over on his back and snores a little, and I tap him, or give him a gentle nudge with my foot (kick). No pinching, I promise. Laughing

HEHE.. funny .. Linda was MAKING FUN OF ME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I "thought: awhile back she said to pinch her... if she snores...hehe... I read it wrong... Linda, being so much older that I... ~wink~ likes to pick on me like a big sister picks on a little sister....but she loves me no doubt...:) :):):)

    Marilyn

At first I thought Sheila was suggesting that we room together because we are both 55 years young....

My husband did have a rough time those weeks I had to sleep on my back, poor dear, he wanted to sleep in another room but he did not want to leave me alone...

I will need a small fan for sleeping because of the hot flashes.  Are there any Wal-mart or Dollar General in Vegas?

    Edited to add

Laura, It is good that we can pick on each other for a laugh or two, God knows that we need those to keep our sanity.....I was suppose to go to bed early tonight, I promised DH that I would but here it is 11:05 and still on the boards......good nite all

Forgot to mention that one of my best friends is in a cover band in Vegas (classic rock), so depending on where they're playing that weekend maybe we can check them out. I would so love to take a bunch of women to harass him -- he embarrasses really easily! Innocent
