Happy spring to my sisters!

Anna-SWEET PICTURE!!!!!! What a cutie!
Ladies, things have been out of control over here. I wish I could go into detail, but it is awful and too hard to even fathom right now. Don't worry, it's not cancer-related. It's child-related, though.
Say a few prayers for me?
Love and prayers, Deb -

Update on Michael:
His test was negative so far. But the doctors said there my be cancer deep inside the tissue. He has a large tumor. We won't know anything more till the surgery on Tuesday. I will update on FB more because that's where friends and family all are. So much easier to keep up with .
I will also update here , just not sure how often.
Keep us in your prayers.

Mary Lou, you are even more beautiful than I remembered! What's going on with Michael?
And little Daniel?
Prayers for you both and your families.
Love, Anna

What is going on? We all seem to have gone seperate ways. I guess it's a sign...life goes on. But, I really miss staying in touch with my chemo sisters.
Anna - Great pic, he looks so happy, and so adorable. How are you feeling these days?
Love and hugs to all.
-
I am feeling well, Odalys, thank you for asking. Some joint pain but I try to keep moving. I am going to exercise class three times/week and try to walk a little each day. Little dog loves it.
What is going on for you in terms of work? Have you been looking? Finding? Things are really tough here in Virginia. On the surface everything looks okay, but when you talk to people they say things have been really bad for over a year now and it's just now that everybody is starting to take real notice. I guess the news that almost everyone's 401K has been halved and that other retirement funds are tanking makes everyone feel involved.
Anyway, spring is coming here and it makes me happy.
Love to all my sisters and hope to hear some news.
Anna

Hi ladies, I just haven't been posting much, because we are having a family emergency going on with Daniel, and that is taking over our lives right now. I can't post about it, and don't have much else going on.
I never want to go our seperate ways! I love you all!
ML-I must have missed your original post about dh! I will pray for him (and you).Miss you all, Deb
-
Deb - now I'm really worried. If it's okay, pm your phone so I can call you. I have free long distance and would really like to check in on you and Daniel. OMG, I just pray he is alright. Please keep us posted.
-
Yes Deb, hope everything will be ok.
Good to hear from you Odalys. I think we all have been facebooking, miss you there. But I will take any O that I can get
And yes, the economy is scary. We are doing ok, but are buckling down on spending just in case. It is sad because here 80 less boys are playing little league this year
And our CA schools are in crisis. We just pulled our kids out of public schools and put them in private schools because the kids were out of control
and things will only get worse.
Hoping your DH's doc is just being overly cautious Mary Lou and that everything will be fine after Michael's surgery. You will be his rock!
Take care sisters and hold your chins up, spring is a coming!

The update on Michael is that he has a colon tumor. He will be having surgery this Tuesday. We will know more after that. I hope it is cancer free, but the doctors don't seem to think that is the case.
I will be his rock, thank God for antidepressants...or I would surly be a basket case.
Sorry Ody, I have been on facebook too....
Deb, hope all will be okay with you and yours.
Anna, good to see ya....missing Lat and Nancy... they need to check in.
Love you all
-
I'll be praying for Michael and for your family, Mary Lou.
-
Thank you Anna, remember to stop by facebook. We are all there.
-
Okay ladies, my update is that I may also have colon cancer.
Grr......
please see my other thread (too much to write). All I can say is that this SUCKS!
praypraypraypraypraypraypraypraypraypraypray please!
Love you ladies, Deb
-
It sounds like you are really scared. I hope you see a doctor who instills confidence and answers your questions. In the meantime, I am praying for you, dear Deb.
-
Dear Sisters, I was just catching up on gorgeous babies (ML and A); sad news of some losses; and scary medical stuff. My prayers are with you ML and Deb. Job market and financial woes are an added concern. My broken heart continues to sap my energy, but the weather is warm here, the finches are feeding, and my garden is growing. Warm water exercise 3X/week helps as does meditation and lovely naps. I have also found my creative side with quilting, cropping, and furnishing a marvelous dollhouse.
I think of you so often and wish we could be together.
Much love and hope for all,
Nancy

So nice to hear from you, Nancy. I'm glad you are now able to do the water aerobics again; I know you were really disappointed when your foot kept you from that. Is your foot now fully healed?
What kind of quilting are you doing? I am a quilter. I just finished designing our guild's raffle quilt for 2010 and am in the process of getting fabric packets out with my committee so our guild members can make the blocks. I fondly remember making a dollhouse with my brother way back. I still have a little Shaker room box on a fireplace mantle. What is cropping?
Sending prayers to my sisters,
Anna

Good morning sisters. Wanted to let you all know that Michael is okay and there was no sign of cancer. God is so good.
Deb I will be thinking of you and you are in our prayers.
Nancy it is so good to hear from you. Please keep intouch.
-
I'm so happy to hear your news, Mary Lou. I hope Deb gets some good news like that.
-
-
OH Anna, that is the best picture yet !!!!!! I wish I could meet him in person. And just hug him up.
Deb, hope you get some news soon. Michael is still in the hospital. Hope he will get home soon.
-
-
Deb - WTH? Please keep us posted. I pray it's a false alarm.
Nancy - Nice to see you. Glad you are doing well. Thanks for checking in.
Ok, I was wondering if you would like to get together in Pinkstock this year? I attended last year and it was an awesome experience. DH and Steve also went and they loved it. It would be a great opportunity for us to see each other, celebrate our sisterhood, and meet other ladies on this board. The bond is so much tighter meeting a sister in person. It's almost like being with a family member you haven't seen in a long time. Amazing! How about it?
-
I forgot the date....
-
I would absolutely LOVE to meet in Pinkstock, but we will be in France (with little grandson) this summer. I know Pnkstk is in August and we won't be back till September, so it's out for me.
Deb, any news?
-
ML - I meant to tell you earlier, glad to hear Michael test results ruled out cancer. I bet you are really relieved. Amazing how waiting for a test result can turn out world upside down for a few days. hugs
Anna - I understandbut sure wish you were going though. I bet you can't wait to see the little guy.
Okay here is the information MB posted on the Pinkstock thread about this year's event.
