Robin - From your picture, it looks like you enjoy the water. Perhaps you two can swim!

Ladies,
Yes...the runion is set for Sep 25-28th. I think I have found us a deal at Paris Hotel. This is NOT locked in yet but it would be $123 per night BEFORE tax! And depending on how many to a room it could be a REALLY sweet deal. I still have a few more places to look but so far this is a great deal for the price. Its a pretty new hotel centrally located on the strip. Im still looking but so far so good! I will keep ya posted!
See ya in Vegas

I think this is the pool outside the Paris hotel

Sandy,
You are a friggin computer wizard!! Isnt it beautiful! I would love us to get in here or the Bellagio. Still trying to work out some ideas and sniff out the best rate. We are still WAAAYYY out from the reunion date.
Thanks again Sandy...you are FABULOUS!! BTW running a 5K this weekend, wish me luck!
My goal is to do it in less than 27 min...so in reality that means I should finish in 28 LOLTracey
-
wow that's a pretty good pace
but I know your a detrermined gal
This Sunday is the Easter Seal race
It might be 4 miles but I'm not sure
you'll have to check my facebook out
there are a few pix from our climb but I didn't get the ones of me from my friend yet
-
Hotel looks specatular! Can you picture all of the perky bikini covered foobs laying around that pool?????
-
Tracey - That looks wonderful (thanks for making it real Sandy). And that's a great pace for your 5K. I am always pleased if I can beat 35 minutes when I run a 5K. I do beat the ambulance, so that's good.

-
Geeze you guys! You can run? I've never been able to....
-
My calendar is blocked off for Sep 25-28. Vegas vacation... wooooo hoooooo.
-
Thanks Sandy for all that great info on the Hotel.....I have marked my calendar, fly out on Friday fly back on Monday.....sounds great, Thanks Tracey for all the work you are doing to make this possible and to make it easy on our wallets.....
Since we are discussing our race finishing times
my personal best for a 1 mile 7:22 5K 24:56 10K 52:17 half 1:59:47 marathon 4:49:05 (we have a 1 mile race on July 4th morning called the Green Street Mile and this year will be the 25th running. For the last few years my hubby has been race director and I help him so I do not run it anymore. We do have a good turnout....
Let me add that these PB's were 6 years ago. I had a good 2003........But now, since my surgery, its not important to me anymore to break my own record, all I want to do is finish. I have slowed quite a bit.......
Jean, at least you beat the ambulance......how funny......When I first started running I hated the idea of being last but I never had to experience.....
-
The only running I have done is to the bathroom, LOL... No way could, would, should I run... Congrats to those of you who can and have.
-
Lorraine
you did a great job sending those pics via e-mail and all I can say is VaVaVoom....I am with Sandy, you need to post that t-shirt pic on the forum.....I love how your incision scars are not across your boobs but kinda underneath......your PS did a wonderful job.....you are one luck lady in more ways than one....thanks for sending your pics to me.....I am NOT going to show them to my DH for obvious reasons LOL his tongue would be hanging out....hehehehehehe
enjoy your trip and how do you deal with those godzillabrides?????
-
Linda!
WOW you GO GIRL!!! Those are some KICK ASS times!! I have placed a few times within my age group but your times trump my times! AWESOME!!!!!
And just remember Vegas is gonna be fun for ALL of us so I dont mind getting info together so that we can all have a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quicky from the tired broad..
Paris is great.. saw the building of it last time I was there... I LOVE Paris.. if only in my dreams!!!
Thanks Sandy... good post...
-
Count me in for this trip. My daughter goes to UNLV so I go to Vegas a few times a year. Paris is a beautiful hotel. The view from the Eiffel tower is fantastic, especially at night. I can't wait!
-
Hello ladies,
Our list is growing and some time next month we are gonna have know how many and whom is in each room. I think it will be easier if I make the room groups and if you dont agree you can PM me and I will switch you to another room. But I know all the threads that we are on so I kinda know who is close to who. I think it will be the easiest way to book the rooms to have one person from each group in charge of booking. I will get the rate and the code for booking then it will be up to 1 person from each room to hold the room. As the list grows I will do my best to continue to get a good rates.
Marilyn, Thanks for your help, you have been AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, when we start booking the hotels usually only require that 1 person from each room hold the 1st night on a card. This assures that the room is indeed held. This is why I am working on getting us the best rate possible!! But we have a bit of time til we get to that stage.
If you just want a room with 1 other person please PM me. The rooms should be no more than $123 per night BEFORE tax. From 9/25-28
Please dont hesitate to PM me if you have ANY questions or comments.
VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wahooooo Tracey... I am not shy and can stay in a room with 4....

....me and the gals in my salon have casino night once a year.. ( that I have to pay for...lol... thier Christmas party) and we get two rooms for 8 of us.. it is really really fun...:)I am saving my pennies now and am so excited to meet you all for real... I hope this is something we can do yearly.. or every other... I think it is very very special and important for survivors to be connected...

-
The Thunder From Down Under?
Yeah-Vegas Baby!
-
LOL
-
I'll take the second from the right, although I'm probably old enough to be his mother! Who knows, maybe he is into older bald chicks with a tisue expander!!!!
-
Excaliber is way down at the end of the strip by Mandelay Bay and Luxor. I think it's a long walk to stuff and you have to still take a monorail to get to the closest strip monorail station which is across the street and underground at the MGM. Cabs can get expensive. Just trying to think of our reunion sisters that may still fatigue easily. Wanna save all our strength for the Thunder Down Under.
-
Don't they still have the buses that go up and down the strip? Last year they were $5.00 a day for unlimited use and they took you from "old" Vegas all the way down to the outlet mall.
-
YES..; dh and I take the Duess. ( the bus) runs all day and all night... only 5 bucks a day... that is the way to go..imo...

-
Never took the bus. Could be an idea.
Gonna be a hot time in the old town tonite.....LOL
-
Think it's the Deuce? Is that the double decker bus I've seen?
-
Yes.. my spelling is for the birds these days..lol...
-
It takes away the need to do sooooooooooooooo much walking no matter where you stay.
