Ok... I think I want my own room now Tracey.... I don't think I wanna be in these gals rooms with their Hitachi's or their Bobs... or... maybe they need their own room....
-
You girls are crazy! I am laughing until I am crying!!!! I thought I was too new to this board to join in on your Vegas plans but I am sure thinking it would be a blast!!! Good thing the Hoover dam is close by...better get them to turn on the jets with all those Hitachi's going strong! That and all the batteries needed for your 3 day weekend just might turn the economy around!!!
-
lol...Yvonne.......you are too funny......but it sounds like you might be right.....I'm getting worried!
-
You guys are going to kill me.... but I guess the BOB's are slot machines?
-
Hello You CRAZY ladies!! LMAO!! LOL......you all crack me up Vegas will never be the same once we leave!
Tracey
-
I'm sitting here giggling away
thanks laughter is a good thing
-
I was just doing a little search on travelocity to see what some deals would cost from Cedar Rapids airport to Vegas with a room package
I was able to find some for even under $400 and even the really nice places like Bellagio's for a little more like $535
example Flamingo was only $380
I've never tried booking the on-line way
I've usually gone to a travel agent
but sorry to say that's even been about 4 years
I forgot to say when I looked at flight only it showed about $225
I'm so ready for a get away : - )
well I better get some rest
-
Start clipping coupons and stashing the savings away. Last grocery trip I saved over $27.00 and I live alone and no pets... One place here give triple cents off up to .49 and double up to .99 face value of the coupon. Makes it worth making a list and taking the time to use the coupons.
How long will this gathering be? a 3 day weekend? 2 days and 3 nights? I know it is still in the planning phase. There used to be a non stop from here, but they have discontinued that. My son and I spent 2 Christmases in Vegas and it was wonderful. I liked the Excalibur because you had to have a room key to use the elevator. Keeps those who should not be wandering the halls out and also a guard at a podium that you have to show the key before the elevators.
-
We're going to do a "junket" aren't we? That's either Thursday to Sunday or Monday to Thursday. I'd rather go through the week to have less people wouldn't you think?
-
Hello sistas, Check me out on the picture forum. You will need about an hour HAHA
-
TRACEY So glad you are setting this Vegas Reunion up. DEFINITELY count me in!! Woo Hoo! Viva Las Vegas.
Congrats on your 8K. Don't I wish!!
I vote for doing something like the Chippendales show, or the Thunder Down Under. Wouldn't that be a kick!!! I've always wanted to go to one of those shows and I can't think of any better company than my Ta Ta SISTERS!!!
Thanks for setting this up Tracey. You're the best!

My research has shown that it is cheaper to go over a Saturday night than during the week. But these depressed economic times may have changed that. I have seen Cirque de Soleil and it is a marvelous, family oriented show. However, time to cut loose and do something like Chippendales... or one of the drag queen shows, LOL.
One thing we could do is Margaritaville -- drinks and music and a very fun place, anytime of the day or night.
-
It's ALL fun. I haven't been in years. Don't think I could afford Cirque again. I saw Mystere years ago. Absolutely stunning! I also saw Siegfried and Roy, before....
-
Barbe1958 ~ Are you planning on going with the group to Vegas? I already know we can't swing it financially, but I keep following this thread because it's so funny! If I was going - I agree with attending Thunder down Under - have heard it is awesome! How could it not be??????????
-
I am saving now so I can go. I am all for a drag show. I have been watching RuPaul Drag Race and find it so funny! I can get ideas on how to remake my body from these queens.
-
Pinky, google Breast Scarves and be prepared to laugh you head off.
http://spluch.blogspot.com/2007/08/breast-scarves.html
This could be a new act in Vegas. I do not men to offend anyone, please forgive my weird sense of humor.
-
I am not offended and I think they are great! I needed a laugh today.
-
My onc nurse told me the best Pool Parties are at the Mirage Hotel.
And check out Bill and Bobs Gamblin saloon for $ 1.00 margaritas!!!

-
Can you imagine the poor soul who googled breast and scarf to look up head scarves for cancer treatment and found those! They've been passed around the site for a while now if those are the ones I'm thinking they are. (Asian ladies?)
2newbig1s, I can't afford it today. But I always dream. I'm putting it out there to the universe to help me go. Even though I am ta-ta-less, I want to be there!
I checked out Travelocity and found stupidly expensive pricing! They're nuts! And in US dollars too.
-

barbe1958 ~ I agree with you that I also would love to go, just not in our finances. I have been to Vegas and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! All who go, will have an awesome time!
-
Oh my goodness, I just saw this thread!! how exciting. Vegas sounds fun fun. Is it cool if we bring a friend or partner? I will be having reconstruction on March 30th but Im sure I will be fine to travel. Of course I may have boulders on my chest by then but its Vegas!!
Teresa
-
Teresa,
Okay got cha added!! YAYY...the more the merry!
-
I take it we are still looking at the last weekend in Sept
I got with my teammates this weekend and it sounds like some would like to do the Berryman Race again which is that same weekend
But I did share with them I'm going to Vegas : - )
I just wanted to make sure it didn't change
that race would have cost me over $200 so I'll just think of putting that money to this fun trip
-
Tracy,
Congrats on the run. My bf just told me yesterday that after all my surgeries are complete, I need to start running again. Oh no! I hated running. Help! I need another excuse not run!
