My dearest Slonedeb/Deb - I'm so sorry to hear about your journey. This gives me great sadness. It is so very difficult to live with constant pain on a daily basis. It takes away the QOL and strengh in us. I hope and wish that your pain will subside so you can have a better quality of life and enjoy your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sending you recovery vibes, lots of Love and may God bless you.
Comfort hugs, Danie

Deb, I just wanted you to know I've been discouraged by this beast lately and reading through all these posts has reminded me that we are saints in the kingdom of God and the blessing this board is to me and to so many others is truly a gift from God. I have been lifting you up in prayer and praying that God is holding you tight and protecting you from fear and dispare. I am glad to hear you are getting better pain relief and will also pray for wisdom beyond her knowledge from your dr. when you finally see her. Close your eyes and imagine the great cloud of saints from this board laying hands on you and lifting you up to Jesus. Life gets damm hard, but God is good.

ohmygoodnesssssss-slonedeb........ what joy it is in my heart to see so many of our sisters posting for you -- all thru the night you have been prayed for.
i have tears in my eyes as i'm typing.
pinkpig, danie, shopmama and harley thank you for becoming one of our "Slone Rangers" and joining with so many others earlier who've helped keep the watch, by offering your encouragement at this dark time for our slonedeb.
we are indeed so much stronger, when united together.......... what one person searches to express appears to fall easily from the typing fingers of another.
Gay, i am going to read and reread your post above. Such truth.
i, too believe that this board is a blessing -- straight from heaven........... imagine women of an earlier generation who suffered alone & in silence, shame and sorrow.
the great stride forward is that we have each other in the midst of the journey.
slonedeb, may your pain meds work beyond their capability, may the prayers of your Rangers lift you above the frailties of your earthly body, may you be comforted by knowing how much you rally the spirit in others -- for their path ahead.
between the science and the faith, know that you are teaching much to many.

Thought of you throughout the day as I did my work, Deb. Hoping that your radiation treatments will be set up soon, and the ambulance trips to and fro worked out.Maybe you could ask your DH to buy a Kentucky home made apple pie at a farmers market this weekend? It's comforting to enjoy the change of season foods, and the squashes are tasty right now too. Easy to cut in half (let him do it) and stick them in the oven with some butter and spice.Won't we all be happy when our Country settles down soon too? After the election, followed by some economic stabilization? If you're like me, that's adding to my daily angst quite some.Don't deny yourself the pain meds and in adequate dose, Deb. Best to be comfortable and groggy than in pain, imho.Praying for you tonight, and thinking of you often.Tender

good Friday morning, slonedeb, starting my day picturing you peaceful and secure.
i'm saying prayers that today has little nuggets of encouragement, tucked in among all the other reality that you've encountered over the last year.
think of the great memories you've shared with us: your anniversary, your grandson's graduation, your neighbor's gifts of time & visits, the friend that you hadn't seen in some time -- stopping by and reminding you of your faith road together.......
think of all the great women who have stopped thru this thread that Tender launched on your behalf, the many prayers that have been said to ease your struggles, the many supportive thoughts that have been sprinkled here for your benefit.
slonedeb, we are always here for you. if ever there's a little lull in the posts -- just scroll back a couple of pages and realize how far you've traveled on this journey...... how much you've shared with us, how caring the sisters are who gather here.
i'm praying for your children -- that they have insight into what they can say & do to be supportive at this time
may your dear husband receive special blessings for his care on your behalf.

Dear Healer and Maker-of-Wholeness,
I come to you this morning with slonedeb's story in my heart and at my fingertips. I ask that you continue to wrap her in your care and compassionate embrace. It breaks my heart to hear of our sister's suffering, of her trials with medications and treatment, of the many side effects that assail her fragile body, of family members who have not been capable of support.
I know that even tho our deb trusts in You completely and wraps her heart around her faith -- that she agonizes over how she would be allowed to suffer this much. I ask that you surround her with angels of mercy in this passage. Comfort her. I ask that you send her strength and energy to ride thru this storm. I ask that you remind her of your love and concern for her in these dark times.
You've counted the feathers on the sparrow, you number the leaves on the trees. Send that power and might into this story.
Be with us, as Slone-Rangers, as we sort out our own faith as it relates to Slonedeb send us glimmers of insight when we're searching for meaning. Give us teachers and readings, quotations, poems, songs, signs and encouragement in the midst of our efforts to make sense out of the senseless.
Help us recognize that You are in charge, when we are lost in the struggles that buffet us about.
I ask for a miracle on slonedeb's behalf. I ask with the trust of a toddler. Only you know what miracle is in store for deb, our Kentucky-queen. Help the rest of us to realize that her miracles are unfolding right on cue, according to your plan. Open our eyes and hearts to recognize the miracles that weave us together here.
Please be in the hearts of slone's family, in her children particularly. It must truly be heart wrenching for them to see their mom in such a fragile light. Bind up their hearts for the road that is ahead. Give them courage to shower their mother with care. Hold up Jacky as he considers all of the possibilities for the outcome of this chapter. Keep hope alive.
Convey to our Slonedeb, that she is never alone. That we are united in our prayers on her behalf. That she has taught us much thru her willingess to continue treatment and her willingness to share her faith in the midst of her pain. Restore wholeness to our sister -- thru the mercy that only you can create.

(((((((((((((((slonedeb, child-of-faith, daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend))))))))))))))
open wide the gates of heaven when slonedeb is ready to fly into your waiting arms. greet her with a trumpet fanfare beyond anything we can imagine. assemble her entire extended family for that reunion in the sky: her mother & brother with flowers and colors that only grow in heaven. explain what a capable servant she was, while visiting here on planet earth. convey what an amazing woman she was and how very proud we were to come to know her.

-
dearest slonedeb.......... i was able to attend church this morning...... the final song had a line about "suffering" and i just wept tears for your tough weekend.
i wish that i could explain it.... i was so moved, that i didn't think to write down the words.......
but the theme of it was that, as Jesus suffered for us -- he is with us in our own suffering........
we are never alone, even in the midst of your seisures & fevers, in the midst of error and unknown, we have a Creator who cares for our every need.
thinking of you today -- and always

Praise God that you are okay Deb . Sorry I have not posted lately. My hubby came back I did not ask him to . That is a long story. I was under the weather lately even though was my week off chemo. I am wondering if it was part due to the shot I had for my anemia. Who knows only God. Starting feeling better so had granddaughters for weekend they lift my spirits. I am so thankful you are getting along better after that nurse screw up. That is scary. Isn't it wonderful there are prayer warriors here. Even if I do not post I always remember you in prayer.
