I read your post elsewhere about how encouraged you were about a song with lyrics "ride out your storm, you are never alone." You have had a tremendous storm and you have been riding it with such grace and encouragement for those around you, I am really inspired by your faith. Thank you Jesus for restoring our Deb and getting her through this latest storm. Deb, may you continue to have faith and have encouragement. Blessings to you and your family.

slonedeb..... it's a bright Monday morning & i'm starting the day with thoughts and prayers for you
as i reflect over your incident with the nurse's mistake -- i shudder at how thin the thread is that tethers us to this world of ours, how thin the sheen that separates us from heaven.
you rebounded from that incident with yet more 'fight' ........ and that dear friend, is why you are an inspiration to so many of us.
i know that your tears are plentiful at times, but your internal strength is truly amazing. a lesser person would have succumbed in fright alone, just observing this latest trial.
your mom must be watching over you -- with such pride.
savor today's opportunities. listen in on some sweet music.
enjoy some old time movie on TV
page thru a colorful magazine
eat something delicious

By the way, this is an enormous week for me......... will travel to Atalanta to speak and then drive on from there to FL to spend a quick meal or two with my parents. So I may be a little more "scattered" than normal -- know that i carry you in my heart, where ever i go.

Oh how nice to hear from kbug too. I do hope you both feel better tonight. You both are in my thoughts throughout the day, and particularly at night when I too am resting and reflecting. So much swirling around us with the election, the economy, and our own thoughts on how we "fit" with our breast cancer into decisions made for us on health care. This is my safe haven, away from the uncertainty out there, where ideas and revelations can be shared and respected by each other.A special hug to you both, Deb and kbug, then, and to all my breast cancer sisters. It is a month where this disease is formally recognized, yet we recognize it and each other, each day, 24/7, 365 days per year.Tender

slonedeb..... i'm very fortunate to have had a great day...... was able to accomplish most of what was necessary to attend to today.
i thought of you as i zigged and zagged about our fair city
praying for your pain to be controlled by the meds, breathing easier and appreciating the day

ShopMama: it was Pansy who came up with the term "Slone Rangers" for those of us who are praying for our slonedeb, i just think it's so brilliant and continue to use it -- whenever i remember
it is indeed a clever and true concept isn't?
-
Oh, My what a terrifiying experience you've had. I thank God that He knew exactly what was going on and directed the people at the hospital to treat you well. It encourages my heart to know, see, and hear how able God is to take care of us. You will continue to be in my prayers.
-
Slonedeb,
Just checking into see how you are doing this evening. I hope you are resting well and regaining your strength back. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers every day and night.
I hope your morning sunrise brings you joy for the new day. Take care.

HUGS to you, Deb. Please read my PM to you.
Blessings to you all.....
-
slonedeb, today is my favorite day of the month -- i'm going out to sing/dance with my kiddos w/special needs...... you can hardly walk down the hallway, cuz there's so many wheel chairs, contraptions, standing boards etc etc etc
we leave tomorrow for Atlanta.
will be very much on the go for the next 4 or 5 days
all good news!!
my SIL is home from Afghanistan, after a short mission there
hallelujah!!
-
Although my heart is heavy for you, Deb, I know you have a place of safety and rest from your troubles as you trust in our Heavenly Father. Troubles in this world are soooo temporary! We say, "Stop the world! I want to get off!" And He says, "All right, but not just yet." Every day we wake up, He has a plan and a purpose for us. Although no one can say to you honestly, "I know what you are going through," I can say from the depths of my heart that I love you and that through faith in Christ you have a hope and a future.
My daughter is in the hospital in labor. Little baby Clara may not understand what her future holds, what the outside world will be like, etc. And if we could ask her and she could answer, she might say, "I like it here in my dark, warm, quiet world. Let me stay." But that is not God's plan. There is light and beauty and love in the outside world, as there is an even greater light and beauty and love in the heaven God has for us. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, for he trusteth in Him."
Many, many hugs and prayers for you, Deb.
-
Dearest Deb,So many sisters now are praying for you, it's no wonder there is such strength in numbers. Let there be heavenly intervention for our sweet Deb, dear Lord. Let her not be in pain, nor constricted by labor in breath, nor weighed down with swelling. May she still taste the flavors of drinks and broths and food. May her family surround and nourish her.Prayers being said for you, Deb, as well as thoughts for you each day.((Hugs))Tender

SloneDeb, thinking of you this afternoon, and so happy you made it through that awful fright. You must be stronger than you think because you made it through so much. I also think God is watching over you. I am happy you can post and let us know how you are doing. Much love, Maryiz
-
slonedeb, it is such an encouragement to have so many incredible people "pulling" for you
blessings and courage friend.
we have our big van (rented) all packed up & are ready to take off on an amazing adventure.
my hubby is so excited, he wants to leave right this minute........ he can't wait!!

SLONE-RANGERS: step up and let our slone know how much you offer encouragement on her behalf, i know you always come thru!

Especially for our beautiful, brave deb from ky
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.Blessings......and thank you for writing. I wish we could send a posse to go after those wacko nurses and doctors!!!
-
Hugs... for one who always has so many words... I don't know what to say. I am praying for comfort and peace for you, and that you know with all your being that you are surrounded with love.
-
slonedeb, we've made it safely to our destination in Atlanta..... we drove south through Kentucky on Interstate 75, but it was already dark last night when we took off -- so didn't get to see a lot of your fair state. i kept wondering & wondering how close we were to you??
sweet dear sister......... you persevere in the face of the unrelenting issues that mire you
what a treasure it is to have your post above "ride out the storms." you are such an amazing role model for that very concept -- you and our AlaskaDeb & our PuppyDeb and our FootieDeb are all just sparkling diamonds
know that i'll be praying in "southern" over the next few days. i almost need an interpretor.... our waitress @ lunch in southern Tenn had a very southern accent & half the time i missed what she was asking
Tender has a great idea, in seeking someone to read the posts here on your behalf. I wonder if you can train someone to find the threads that you're interested in.
i am so sorry that you've had yet another chapter of seeking treatment & finding unknowns
i pray that your team of medical folks raises to a higher notch in the future
you are teaching them so much in the process, slonedeb.

Faith, you went right past MY hometown, where the interchange swallowed up the beautiful 100 acres I grew up on, as well as the stunning log house~~~which I wanted to put on a truck and move to Western Maryland!! 15 minutes away is the home of Colonel Sanders and his first little restaurant serving Kentucky Fried Chicken!
SloneDeb, I hope you are able tosee the fall colors~~~don't they affirm the glory of life?
Blessings.......
