My thoughts and prayers are surrounding you... lifting your spirit lest you not have the strength. Always remember... you aren't heavy... you're our sister! We are here for you in prayer, hope, and courage.

oh wow SLONEDEB......... so many of your Slone-Rangers are clocking in with prayers, poems, hugs and encouragement. I can taste the love in the posts above. What a wonderful team to have assembled around you.
You have another storm to ride out, sweet Deb. ride loose in the saddle. Fill your heart with the care and concern of those expressing it here on your behalf.
Know that your example is a shining beacon for all of us, involved in your story. Trust in your life-of-faith -- now more than ever.
We all hate that you have such violent reactions to the treatment, but we pray that means it's working over-time on your behalf. You are such a fighter, slonedeb, and teaching so many in the process.

Slonedeb, Kentucky Queen, Storm-Rider-ExtraOrdinaire.........
I'm beginning another one of my travel 'adventures' and I'm safely thru our airport security and at my gate..... headed to NY for lots of fun & speaking in 3 different cities over the next few days.
We've been provided with a 'driver' to get us from one spot to the next, so that's an enormous help.
I'll be sending out the 'old fashioned' hugs from all across NY (and a few from Phillie -- where I make the connection.)
So be on the lookout for New England hugs coming your way. Maybe I can send some lovely fall folliage as well. I had a bread-bowl of soup the other night, in the midst of a pouring down rain storm and wondered how your appetite is doing these days?
I'm hoping that you have some nourishment that has the right connection with your taste buds.
Our Buckeyes lost last night and I was thinking about your sentiment to "Ride out the storms." That of course is merely a game for fun. Your storms are teaching us all so much about perseverance, trust, hope and faith.
I packed my mini-Bible and thought of you:
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful." (Matthew 25:21)
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)
"O Lord, thou hast brought up my sould from the grave, thou hast kept me alive." (Psalms 30:3)
Here's one with 'slonedeb' written all over it"
"The Lord preserveth all them that love him." (Psalms 145:20)
And one last sentiment to steer us all, Slonedeb & SloneRangers:
"Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." (Revelation 2:10)
Slonedeb, you've been incredibly faithful thru out this ordeal. There are special treasures for you.

It's wonderful to read all the posts to you Deb. The Biblical quotes are quite amazing; I have heard some of them over the years, and am reminded how encouraging books of faith are while we journey through life. I hope Faith has a safe trip, and confess I forget what she does professionally that reaches her out to so many. It's a quiet day here; cool, but sunny after rain. The squirrels are feasting on my front door pumpkins regrettably; I wonder if we should just give up and make from the good inside a homemade soup or pie.I hope today is peaceful for you, Deb. Please know I think of you often during my day.Tender

Darlin' Deb, our Mountain Laurel Princess:
I hope this post greets you when you wake from a restful sleep, and will help you during your "chemo vacation".
A Prayer For Comfort And Rest
Most Precious Lord Jesus...
Gentle And Wonderful God...
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit...
In your arms I find comfort and rest from the pain of my life.
Thank you for this time of reflection and meditation.
Thank you for these moments I spend basking in your comforting love and restful truth.
I love you Lord.
I need you this day to give me your comfort and rest so I can move out and move onward to serve you.
According to your will, may I always be able to give your comfort and rest to others.
During the coming days take my burdens and replace them with your Light.
During the coming days give me a break from the unending woes and afflictions trying to take me down.
During the coming days please give me your comfort so I can find new strength, new wisdom, new power to be your child.
In your presence, may I always find your comforting and restful peace as I have always found your comfort and rest in days gone by.
As you bless me with your comfort and rest, help me be a better person of faith.
As you bless me with your comfort and rest, touch the lives and hearts of everyone I pray for each day.
If you must make a choice between touching others with your comfort and rest or touching me, let others be touched first.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen -

slonedeb. we are now safely outside Syracuse -- having driven about 4 hours thru snow squalls.
geesh. it's October, somebody forgot to tell NY
i certainly have no rights to complain about being tired, in the face of what you are surmounting, but this ol' granny's worn herself out, but plumb good this time.
one more conference, tomorrow
you know i'll keep the prayers coming............
down and out feelings would be so 'natural' for you -- with all you've been thru, keep watching comedies, reading fluffy things, eating when you are able and all of the good advice of your knowledgable sisters.
i'll go post a prayer for DebC right this minute. thanks for keeping me updated on our other "Deb-sister."
ride, slone ride........... ride out your storms.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Oh no, I don't like hearing these not-good things. Deb from Kentucky, I will pray for both you and Alaska Deb. I have a few hours to sleep before I speak to a group of middle-schoolers at a nearby private Catholic school. The Director is on my cancer charity committee. I plan to speak of both your and Deb C's valiant fights, and how important our children are to our recovery.
Blessings.....
