Night time post for good nights rest for you Deb. I thought of you today while preparing for a small boy-girl homecoming dinner for my daughter. I know you have daughters in addition to your son. Kids make our life full, and seeing them grow in grace and manners warms a mom's heart. I'm glad your daughter is with you, and your DH.

Hoping you were content today, and find peace and pleasure in the simple things in life. The smell of Fall, the color of the sunset, the acorns hid by the squirrels.

    Much affection,
    Tender

    dearest slonedeb. deb-of-slones. Queen-of-Kentucky.

thank you so much for fighting thru the pain to come here and clue us in to your daily struggles. i'm just so sorry that you've put thru so much with this disease. i can read in your post above that the pain is in the process of winning and that just wrecks my heart.

we will continue to hold you up in prayer: with petitions asking for a miracle, with petitions asking for support and encouragement.

my words seem so completely inadequate and pointless, but they are what we have to wrap our care and concern around each other.

trust that whatever the outcome for you in the time ahead, slonedeb, you can count on me to continue to pray for your son's continual deliverance from the drugs that have mucked up his life. focus on his efforts to recover. celebrate his awareness.

these times must be so difficult for him.

sweetie, i read on another thread that our kbug is going thru some tough times in her marriage. i know how strong her faith is & i know that she has continuously prayed for the whole circle of woman and their families, gathered here.

    calm hugs.

    love to you, honey.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

thank you as always for your candor and for your willingness to share what the road has for you

Really sorry to read about your liver and leg, Deb. Geez, swelling can be so uncomfortable, hard to get a position where you don't feel compressed one way or the other. Did the ER doctor check out your breathing, you know, with that little finger pulse which measures your oxygen? It's important to have that done, so you'll be given oxygen if it's low. No need to feel like you can breath on top of being swollen. I don't know anything but stopping the Tylenol to get rid of it. Then you'll need a different pain medicine.

Is your doctor the only one in her group? She must have made back up coverage arrangements. Really ticks me off, Deb, that she just left, and the office staff is telling you what she said. Why don't you call her office and ask to see the covering oncologist? Then too, an ER visit will mandate some connection with an oncologist.

So, I'll say lots of extra prayers for you. I hope your daughter comes and sits with you, but like Faith says, we're there with you too, in spirit. Please have someone post for you if you can't, but never forget that we're all interlinked in kindred spirit.

    Affectionately,
    Tender

Dear Deb, my Kentucky sister, I am offering up this prayer in your name~~~Let Go and Let God...

    Father God, I love you.

Thank you that your ways are better than mine.

Thank you that you always know what's best for me.

I am stepping out in faith right now.

    By Faith -

    I release my plans

I release my hold and grasp of what it is I think I want

    I release my finances

I release all of my earthly possessions

    I release my children

    I release my DH

    I release my self:

    my mind

    my body

    my emotions

    my desires

    my talents

    my dreams

    my hopes

    my aspirations

I receive all that you have for me

Fill me with peace, love and hope

    Renew my mind

    Renew my body

    Renew my spirit

I now wholeheartedly submit myself to you to be used for righteous purposes.

    In Jesus name, Amen

slonedeb. dear deb. child of our Heavenly Creator.......

know that i start my day with prayers for you, for your strength in the face of so much pain, for your courage in the face of the unknown and for your willingness to share your story with us.

i am always given personal encouragement, by reading what others have written here -- for your benefit...... so your sharing your story has benefitted me, thru the outpouring of support that is here and intended for you.

we wait with you. we hold you up. we pray for your children and dear husband. we watch the turning of the leaves and realize that the seasons do in fact amble on and winter does indeed arrive -- for each of us.

do all that you can to express what you want to express -- to us here, to your family, to your friends and neighbors..... share from the depths and you will light the journey for so many who follow.

Brrrr, it's actually getting a little nip here. No doubt now that cold weather is coming. I saw that Alaska was expecting snow, which the report said was somewhat early for them (Anchorage I think). Not quite ready for snow.

How are you Deb. Gosh I thought of you a lot today. I hope your doctor's office talks with you soon, to help give you some support and also to address some help to relief some of your symptoms. I know you said you might not be able to post for a while. Please know that you are thought of daily, Deb. Sending warm prayers your way.

slonedeb. i got to thinking about Noelle telling you that she ran in the race with your name on her back..... it made me remember the first walk that i walked -- shortly after my diagnosis -- when i was still in the midst of radiation.

anyhow, i went digging for the t-shirt from that day and finally found it.

i wrote the names of the chatters at the time, that i'd chatted with repeatedly...... anyhow, there was your name!! right at the top of the list.

i know that you have a hard time getting pictures on this website.

if you want to see it, i added the picture on my blog.

    www.rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com

you'll have to scroll back to Oct. 1st to see it..........................

    sleep well. rest easily.

    good morning, dearest slonedeb

i saw on another thread that you've been given some different pain medication and oxygen?? hope that i'm remembering correctly and praying that all of this intervention gives you some relief -- in the midst of it all.

did i read that you have scans?

know that i am starting my day thinking of you. praying for your strength. praying that you keep your faith in this rough terrain.

i'm praying that your son is able to gain some traction in reclaiming his life...... i know that would be the biggest blessing & encouragement that you could possibly receive. know that in addition to my prayers, i have my fingers crossed too!

    gentle hugs to you, sweetest-of-the-sweet.

Deb, I am so glad that at least there is a radiation plan and some changes in meds~~~I hope and pray that will bring you some relief.

"Life is not fair" gets pretty hard to swallow, doesn't it? I hope the fact that you have inspired the affection and admiration of so many women, as well as giving them an example of how to live with The Beast, gives you comfort and pride.

    Blessings, Kentucky woman......

Dearest Deb, I truly am sorry for your onc's news to you. I wish I could give you a hug and some answers to the why's, which we all question in our struggle with breast cancer. Clearly, this is a great tribulation that has come your way, Deb, one that we lament greatly for you.

Like Job, you are being tried, yet he was not alone and you are not also, so stay with us and call out often and with no holds bared. We may not have answers but we have ears which will listen and voices which may comfort and fellow tears which may release joint frustration.

I join all others in trying to lift you up that you are heard, and held close in our hearts, in a kindred spirit which is a blessing in itself, as women who know each other by and through disease, but become close through human connection and love.

    With great compassion for you,
    Tender

slone deb. thanks for the explaination of the efforts that are being made for your comfort in the midst of this awful process. your questions are so natural.

"why are good people 'allowed' to suffer?"

any answer that attempts to deal with the inequities of this life, is too simplistic

    xx00xx00xx00xx

we are here for you -- without answers, but full of compassion in spite of our limitations
