Question for Betrayal or anyone else in PA. Do you think Toomey could be persuaded to vote against McConnell for Majority leader? He's retiring and I've always had the feeling he hated Moscow Mitch. If we could get him, or someone else to defect and one Georgia seat, we'd have the ability to elect a majority leader. They wouldn't have to pledge to vote with the Democrats, just vote McConnell out. That way things would at least get to the floor to be voted on.

Absolutely loved this:

COVID, COVID, COVID!

Trishyla: Toomey is straight party line vote in most instances. I wish he would make a liar out of me and vote against Moscow Mitch. Who knows, this might be his swan song vote. Can't count on either Lisa Murkowski or Susan Collins to have a backbone in the all boys club. Sigh.

LOVE ALL THE MEMES. I can't believe how many, and how fast you put them up!!
Trishyla has a great point. Maybe those who live in PA could write/call Toomey and request that he vote against Mitch. What has he got to lose now?
Today is for celebrating. Tomorrow I want to get back to work and figure out how to help in the GA run-offs. Donations? Phone calls? I'm going to contact my local Dems and see if they have ideas on how to help.

Bells are ringing in France and Germany. Trump is too childish to concede.

I adore all the memes and jubilation! I am in a happy state of shock. I will have to watch Hamilton again (Oh who am I kidding. I know it well enough to perform a on woman show😂) . Remember, history has it's eyes on you...
* Watching lots of jubilant celebrations on the streets of many American cities. All filled with joy and peace

I was at the grocery store when a friend texted me the good news! I couldn’t even yell Yay because I’m sure that most of the people in there were Trumpsters
I’m loving all the memes and comments.

Betrayal--The long nightmare is over....can't believe it! It seemed NOTHING was going to finally put an end to him! All that stuff he got away with, all the while being protected by the GOP!
He seemed unstoppable!
And when Covid came along he just got WORSE!!!
I really thought we were doomed to be stuck with him....
God, I hope he doesn't make a play for 2024--just so he can say "I was a two-term president too!"

Am opening the champagne to start the celebration! This is the best thing ever. I am sure the country will come together and we will be strong again. Hopefully Trump will not do anything stupid before the inauguration. Christmas has come early this year
-
Congratulations!!! Can't believe it actually happened! Such a relief!!!

Since I haven't slept in four years, my plan now is to take a nap! I will be drinking a gin & tonic during the speech tonight. Caryn, will you join me!? Maybe we should all raise a glass at 8:00pm Eastern Time & celebrate together! Post a picture if you want to!
* I think I will also don the pearls!

Serenity, don't forget that Kamala Harris' mother was a breast cancer researcher at Jewish General Hospital in Montreal and a tenured professor at McGill. Much gratitude for her hard work and perseverence!
