Not sure if my counting is accurate but we have 8 counting mcook right?
Joanne, Scottie, Tazzy, me
iatigger, stride, Swgee, mcook.
Did I miss anyone?
I'm just thinking that mcook wouldn't need to book a room. (Unless she wanted to lol) -
Juneau are you joining us?
-
Maryah, what do you think? Since you deleted your post I would assume you aren't able to make it.
Juneau, it would be great if you could .....
Joanne -
Shianne, Scottiee and Tazzy I have booked the room in Iowa until the 21st .... We can always cancel but this will give us the Saturday if we want. Tazzy, of course we are flexible with your schedule.
✈ -
Juneau: please join us.
Joanne: I can look at flying back on 22nd or 23rd. Still waiting for a seat sale
-
If you guys are staying in Iowa for a few days...suggestion would be to check out galena IL it is not that far from Iowa city but a cute little resort town. If you are staying in Iowa there is also a great outlet mall on I80! If there is any info you want or need for people's ideas let me know:) Iowa is my stomping grounds and so is it Iatigger's. I haven't lived in Iowa City but I have lot of classmates who have. If you all just want to hang and drink some fabulous wine and cook some great food at hotel I am in as well:) also we can learn some French words:)
-
I am willing to bring my blender down if anyone would like to partake in strawberry daquries, regular or virgin or any other drink concoctions. Let me know what you prefer.
-
Sounds good to me .... We could make anything .... And NOT smoothies with kale Scottiee ...
-
Lmao!!! NO KALE!!!!!
I'm good for whatever the majority wants. 21 works for me as I don't HAVE to be back lol. Benefits of being a stay at home mom ;-)
Ohhhh, blender drinks!!!!! :-D. Lol. Iatigger, that's a great idea.
Mcook, I'd be interested in that resort town, if not for this trip definitely for a future one. Although I'm not sure who will translate the French!!!!??? Lol. Are we bringing a hot French guy?? -
Daiquiris and a hot French guy! This trip is getting better daily!
-
Bonjour Madame et Madamoiselles ! That's pretty much the extent of my French - but would be a willing pupil if a hot French guy was teaching
Didn't sleep well last night... but when I did I dreamt of our trip..... cant tell you much about it - crap at remembering dreams.... but we were all in a hotel sitting on the edge of the pool drinking blender drinks and laughing - laughing lots.
-
Sounds like a great dream Tazzy!!! Usually when I remember a dream it makes no sense lol. Like a purple monkey in a blue bird cage
-
I'm with Tazzy.....Tazzy can we share that hot French guy?....💃
-
Scottie...of course - I am sure there is enough of him to go round.
-
I hope I dream of us laughing around a pool, drinking daiquiris with a hot French guy!! Oui, Oui mon cheries! ( I hope that's right and I didn't just call you guys cats or something.)
-
Swgee....I'm hoping for that dream tonight too....lol...We'll have to ask Tazzy what's the secret...lol
-
Ladies, ladies .... I can tell I am going to have my hands full when we are away ... ...
-
Geez Jo, thought that was my job.....so glad you're taking over.....now I can have fun in the sun....😎💃
-
OMG! I cant believe that Jo is taking over from you Scottie.... Jo have some wine !
What's the secret.... going to sleep thinking of us all - worked last night for me anyway.
Have a great night ladies xx
-
I'm lol
Thinking the hot French guy... Is out of the oven and looks like the pills bury dough boy!!!!
Ohhhh just bad!!!!! -
Ok ladies I hope this does screw up anything but I am running July 18th it is a Thursday not Friday.
Don't worry about because I can always meet you all in Iowa City that night but just wanted to make sure you knew that because originally it was July 19th and Juneau asked me today and I was not sure all of you had -
What time are you running mcook?
-
Shit! I JUST BOOKED MY FLIEGHT FOR THE 18th... I could have booked it for earlier!
-
what time .... if it is later afternoon we might be able to get there ....
-
I am calling them but it scheduled for 9 am and that will take six hours approximately. The times are hard to predict due to it being a relay but regardless ladies I get to spend all Friday with you! If I try and change to Friday then I will be running late in that day so maybe this might work out and we can still go Friday and cheer on the other runners out of Iowa city and celebrate that too! I am sorry I am not sure if I misunderstood that it changed because I have been so dam busy at work etc and trying to keep up with all that and the race information that changes daily:( please don't kill me:(
-
I just emailed one guy who started about 2 and that would have me finishing around 8 pm so let's see if that works!
-
Ok got the guy to switch with me so starting at 1 pm so end time will be around 6
-
on what day?
-
Sorry still Thursday the 18th
-
ok that works --- we can be there .... and this way we all have the 19th to spend together .... be sure to bring your bathing suits -- pool party at the hotel.
