I am not sure who on here knew MaryWH..............here daughter Rachel contacted me today to tell me Mary has been put into hospice.
For those who knew her I need say anymore.
For those who did not........you missed knowing a loving, compassionate, person with a warm and funny sense of humor.............I was very close to Mary, Mary, (as I called her), and that makes it hurt all the more.
Please pray for her, and keep her family in your thoughts...........
-
So sorry to hear that Ducky........
I am not posting how I am as the basement is sound proofed.....
-
Ducky- I don't know MaryWH, but such sad news. Each time we hear we are loosing or have lost one of our fellow warriors, it is a reminder of the fact bc still takes some. May she be comfortable and surrounded by those who love her during this transition.
-
Lily........come on girfriend............no basement..........I hear you........soundproof walls don't stop us from helping you....................come on up.....openn the door, and let's talk...............we care about you...........hugs...........
Jazzy thanks so much......you would have loved her...........

I have a friend from college whose life partner just got diagnosed with HER 2 + cancer a couple months ago. She has had her surgery and now going through chemo. They are posting all these photos on FB of the process from getting her port and now being the infusion center. It is very sad to see and a reminder of the whole ugly thing we all go through.
Although I stood up for this friend and her partner in their commitment ceremony years ago, they were not very nice to myself or my family after the fact, so we lost touch for many years. We reconnected a few years ago, and I tried to see them when I was out in CA a few years back, hoping maybe things were more settled for them as the relationship happened quickly, but that attempted visit got complicated with unpleasantries from the partner, so I just bowed out. I like my friend from college, but I just was reminded her partner does not like her friends. Not much you can do to make that okay.
Anyways, if it were my friend that were diagnosed, I would have divulged my diagnosis, treatment, and been there more for them, but I opted to remain supportive with occasional e-mail check ins and told them about bco site here, which I said was recommended by some friends. Despite all the negative experiences with this breast cancer patient, I hope she comes through this better and stronger and if possible, a bit nicer to others.

Jazzy, your post about your friend's partner was very meaningful. Friendships like families can be very complicated ... at least it seems that way to me.

Just to share... If you remember, Skittle is in Arkansas. The recent tornado outbreak and disaster is six miles from her home. She is ok, but her daughter lost a friend, a teacher friend lost a son. Just thought prayers might be in order. Thanks.

Hi hermits- oh our dear friend Skittle who has been gone from here for awhile. Terrible news about the losses in her area and of friends and family too. Skittle, we are still here and sending prayers your way if you see this!
-
Good morning all ... I don't know what got into me but I got up, grabbed a cup of coffee, and finished some paperwork that was hanging over my head. It feels great! Lately, I have been slow to move in the mornings and fast to put off paperwork.
Hope those of you in the horrible weather path are safe.
