The Hermit Club

Hi hermit buddies, Well today is my birthday and I did it in hermit style. I had a room and dinner at a St. Louis Casino with my BFF. We had a great dinner; she went back to the room to read magazines and look at cable and I went on the floor to play my favorite-- the Slots. I love going places where no one knows me and I love mixing anonousyly with the crowd. I had so much and I won $300. Didn't go back to the room until 3AM. Got up at 9 AM and had breakfast with my friend. All day was such a relaxing day compared to last years birthday when I had so much anxiety--had just been diagnosed with Cancer and was frighten with the changes in my life and the upcoming major surgery following that birthday. Just so thankful to God, my family, my co-workers, my friends especially you guys at BCO for carrying me and being there for me. What a difference a year make. Your support, care and compassion means the world of difference. Well, I've had my last glass of wine and better get ready for bed. Got work tomorrow. Will catch you up on other things later. Dorothy

Sorry I've been MIA---I hope everyone has a nice weekend, mne was semi-LOL Diarrhea most of the day and just not feeling good--just my usual--nothing different but it kept me going to where I was supposed to go, and I got aggrevated and the day before all I ate were crackers and water just to not have it--ahah I didn't fool it at all.
I hat to say this after today more snow is coming, don't hat me, but that's what they said--but today will be 50--first time since the beginning of Dec. then snow after. LOL
-

Happy day to you Dwill!!!
Camster, Hope the gut is settling down
Boo for allergies and asthma-hope everyone has some success managing those.
I have allergies too, but seems my body traded the moderate spring issues for the fall last year. We shall see what this year has to offer.
Had my gyno appt this morning and decided to take myself out to breakfast afterward.
Every year I go, they change the recommendation for the frequency of Pap test. I was used to yearly, then they changed to every 2 or 3 years and now it is every 5. On top of that the office is now sharing space with another group and blending staff. I don't really have a problem with it, but was confused by the new process they have and going to a different place to be examined, check out and exit the office. Not only that the med tech didn't know how to pronounce no less than 3 of the meds on my allergy list. As a side I have been friends with my gyne doc since she was a resident, worked with her when she started her practice and was one of her first patients in the former practice. We have done some things socially with the group from my old work place and today-though she was friendly and gave me no less than 3 hugs-I felt like I was rushed through the visit-she was rushing through fro some reason and left me a little confused.
My bag is packed for the bus tour extraordinaire........I have the first aide kit covered. I do have a bit of a pillow obsession. No lie, I have 6 and use them. Do we have a pillow limit or can I at least bring 3-4????
I did exit the hermit mode this weekend. Went to dinner and visited my sissy and her kiddos yesterday. They had a b-day party next door to attend and their neighbors invited me over if I wanted. (they all warned me about their strange family members-but don't we all have them)
My sister and BIL laughed after as did their neighbor because I blended right in as if everyone had known me for years. LOLOLOL!
Crazy understands crazy I suppose.
Wishing everyone here a wonderful day.

I traveled over to the Bonfire to warm up and get my seat reservation in. Granny posted not to invite anyone else cause the bus is full. I am taking my caravan and filling it with hermits and single ladies. Maybe our paths will cross on the cloverleaf.

Hi hermits- it hit 73 degrees today. I know, shut up!
Anybody watch the finale of True Detective? I got totally hooked on that new series. Like a short story, but on film. We talked about it in my writing class too, as it was starting as we were doing that class. Really good writing and powerful acting.
I think there will be Emmy's for that down the line!

Happy Belated Birthday Dwill.

Good Morning Herms---
Piper u have a thing about pillows too? It's silly, cuz when I watch a TV ad or program and people just lie down, I think where are all the pillows?
Good pics guys.
And yes Shut up Jazzy--we're supposed to get more snow and some states around us worse than what we get--so we're still going with winter. So no planting here.
-
More snow predicted here too.....although today and tomorrow 65, so will enjoy that while we have it........
-
I would need a private jet to catch the bus....................so no bus for me....have a great trip..x
-
Too funny Jazzy! Must send to frozen relatives!
-
OK Spookie why is Spookie sideways again---are u doing this on purpose to see how bad we are, is this a test?
-
She always shows sideways on my phone screen. Somebody from another thread mentioned it too. Either my phone or the upgrade, but nobody else's avatar is wacko
BBL
