LOL CAMI! TY for the laugh this late at night. I am finally caught up on my paperwork and all babies are sleeping except the only pair of blue booties-WAIT!..He may have finally crashed....It has been crazy busy these last 2 weeks and I cannot believe I even have 5 minutes to read and respond from work. HAHANot looking forward to my afternoon date with the plumber later today and I am on high hormone alert.
Noooo not that way...the angry bird/moody way.
Of course if he's cute....maybe I could try to get the bill lowered....OMG. I did not just say that out loud..
Told ya...the hormonal wind is blowing through the hermie thread...and now i have to plug a few kiddos with their binkies.
Almost time to go around and stuff my little turkeys with some yummy Similac. (gag)
hope everyone is slumbering....Like a baby!?!
XOXOXO
Crazy Piper

Hi chabba this is a great place it's calm here and we like to be alone, but no so alone all the time.
Piper I hope u got some well needed rest that u need now.
It's pouring with thunder and sleeting out--oooo this just keeps on getting funner. My phones will start soon , people call so early and so late, it must say in the ads 24 hr/7days a well--I'm not good at this. Usually Thursday and Sunday are the quiet days-so I hope today is===I'm so rotten
spoiled it sickens me.
-
If this were a female it would be me.
-
Welcome Chabba- nice group of ladies here. We tend to be people that need and want a lot of alone time. I have a lot of loner energy within me too. I work with a lot of different people in my consulting work, but in my free time these days, I spend it with a selected few and then a lot of time on my own. Glad you found us! We try support one another, and have few laughs too along the way.
Cami- I have run into some of my other docs in the past and usually do say hello. I think my reaction has more to do with my own privacy issues. I have only seen my MO a few times, so I am not sure he would readily recognize me outside of his office anyways. He is still a new doc for me. I really do like him though, one of the better providers I have had for my medical care.
And yes, we get a lot of dust here year round, with winds and the desert. I just cleaned off my patio and window sill areas a few weeks ago, when it warmed up and there was lots of dust to clean off. Now there will be more again to clean.
One more day at the client site and then home tomorrow. I must finish my tax stuff and get it in the mail by tomorrow to my accountant.
Hope everyone has a good Thursday!
-
Happy Friday Eve.
-
I like scarey movies too, Cammi.
-
Chabba..........very familiar with you since we have posted to each other on other threads......welcome here.....it is a nice place, but honestly even though we choose to have our alone time, we also welcome the company.............like you, I don't ;try to gather friends, but the ones I have mean a lot to me.......I am more the "family" type then the "friends" type..............because my family is so large when we get together we are a crowd.....and we are very close......great sometimes........other times its an uh oh moment...........
So welcome, and come here often, but I already know you as a BCO. friend......hugs.
-
Thank you for the welcome.
-
Hi Ya Chabba!
I am a newbie to this board too.
And I am having the wackiest mood swings due to PMS
makes me really want to crawl into a cave.
. So TMI-Monthly friend makes it's grand appearance 45 minutes before the plumber is due to arrive. UGH!
BUT Helloooooooooooooooooooo
Nothing like the gates of plumber heaven dropped the hottest piece of .............................
Man on my front door.
Yum multiplied by 100
And the rear view is fine..oh so fine
Gosh he wears his Levis well.
Wish I could snap a pic to share with all the fine ladies here.
(sorry..Jazzy has had to see me lament about this dude on 2 pages)
LOL
But seriously-he could be a model.
DAYUM!
Okies.....I am sweating
Cam-hope your day went well
-
Piper..........LMAO.........
-
Oh trust me ducky if I could have snapped a photo..I would have had to decide if I could share it over on peaceful contemplation.....might have stirred the hormone pot too much
Anywho-he was not only cute, but rather soft spoken, nice smile, pretty teeth (I am a teeth girl) well teeth and butt!!! Totally sweet and an old school/old soul for his age.
He doesn't trust online banking and still pays all of his bills by check, likes owning his home and living more rural and actually likes to cook-from scratch. Hello...do I know how to pick them.
I would say my first date went really well and I didn't have to leave the house!
-
Yeah, I came through the diagnostic and ultrasound with flying colors. I get to keep my left breast. Gosh, I was so scared that by the time I left the hospital I had a headache , got home, took a Zanax slept for 2 and half hours. It's not Cancer but Stress that is going to do me in.
-
Hi all, I don't know how I missed this thread until now! I consider myself extremely introverted and pretty much always have been. I live in a small community and keep to myself but people who don't even know me seem to like to talk. It's a good thing I like being home because with all the snow and feeling crap, going out seems like way too much effort. This morning I woke up thinking I would get some chores done, make dinner and bake for lunches....I looked up what I wanted to make and now I'm too exhausted to do it. haha. I am having my fourth chemo next wednesday. I laughed at the comments of not wanting to talk in the chemo room. I couldn't agree more, I had a panic attack with all the people getting IVs and found a room next door they only use as an office with a bed and curtains, I am now going early and claiming that room.
-
Dwill......good news....................for me it will be a "fall"..........I am a clumsy ass, and the Meds don't help, and I take nothing for pain.............it is the BP, BC meds that do it..........dizzy, off balance.........always saiy........if I got stopped by a cop..............I could never pass the DUI test........if they asked me to walk a straight line, I would put my hands out and say "cuff me"..........save all of us the time.......I ain't passing this test........LOL
-
By the way Dr Oz. had a good show today about "Ambien"........bad drug........worth a watch......it is todays show Feb. 20th..........google it............FYI
-
Welcome notso----name to long LOL --I don't think I've been out of my house since the Holidays except for a Dr. app't, but the weather has been brutal, I'm glad it doesn't bother me too...I'm fine with it. Welcome here we're a nice bunch. u'r still having Chemo I'm surprised u even looked up recipes--just don't worry and rest whenever u feel like it.
Dwill GREAT NEWS--so hppy for u.
OK piper ==splain Lucy--A plumber comes over, u start talking and he's gorgeous and u know him that well already??? Wow girl nothing stops u==good for u.
I won 4.00 in the power ball, oh decisions should I fully retire, or share my wealth.?
It's still rainy and crumby here, oh well , it'll be over soon.
-
dwill,
-
Yeah Dwill. Good news. I seem to remember you from another thread. Memory-what's it good for.
LOL Ducky-I was stopped for a moving violation-whipped out my hospital ID. I couldn't show any leg as it was mid-winter and I was in scrubs and a winter jacket. I had that exhausted 13 hours look on my face. He let me go and handed me a safe driving pamphlet.
I'll send you my old ID....
Oh Cammi-bet me if I were younger-he is so my type! I do not know why I always ended up with men who were very social-maybe it was a good compliment to me- you know-the whole let them shine in the light thing.
The conversation flowed like a good bottle of red. LOL. They were brief-after all he had to fix 3 things in my house-I didn't follow him around I swear. Pinky swear!
Cami I think you should hold a lottery and see who splits the pot of winnings with you!
Only fair after all
-
So Piper how many more pluming things will u break just for example?
-
No need to break anything, my house is falling apart on me-I am already forming a list of things I suddenly remembered need checked and or fixed or replaced..... ....
The list is growing.
I am realizing that romancing the plumber is going to cost me big time....

Onco.....sounds like a plan.........just be careful falling.....
-
Notso-welcome to our thread. We hermits like our quiet time but also like to share with others, as Ducky said. We will be here with you as you go through the rest of your chemo and any of the other things that go with bc during and after. Nice group of ladies here!
Piper- you crack me up about the plumber. I only get big guys with those mile long butt cracks! The guy that managed my roof replacement was pretty hot though!
-
Ducky, sounds like we have the same problem with being "tipsy"! Do you also have a problem with "dropsy" like I do? I'll try to pick up a can of soda and it will slide right out of mmy hand. I'll try again thinking I increased the pressure just enough and grip so hard I dent the can.
-
We're quite a bunch here.
Onco I love what u'r doing keep it up and just be careful, So Fun
Piper that can be a song romancing the plumber --hey it might just work they make money like a Dr. (some of them)
Chabba I know sometimes I just can't pick up something right--either my fingers or hand I don't know but it does get aggrevating. Oh and u all know I have lost all my spelling and typing talents. That has nothing to do with BC--it's just me.
-
Onco- that is so cool about your skating. And wearing your mom's old speed skates too. Did she compete ever?
You keep that going girlfriend, it clearly gave you much joy!
-
Chabba.........oh absolutely........I drop everything.......it is awful......and the truck driver mouth I have kicks in when this happens............and I am also clumsy......(long before Meds, and BC.), so that does not help.............
My hands don't work that well. some arthritis, and a small amount of shaking....very small, but just enough to cause me to get really annoyed..............I think we get annoyed with ourselves because you want things to be like they were not just before cancer, but how they were before getting a little older kicked in.................I don't mind being almost 79, I just don't want to perform like I'm 79............but the BC took some of that ability away.............not the disease........its what we had to do to keep it from recurring......Rads, AI's in my case........mainly the AI.....Letrozole......
-
OW-I love ice-skating but haven't been for a couple of years. I cannot believe you have your mom's speed skates How cool!
You got me motivated to look up area rinks and time. But for the moment I see the sun-full force and the temps have been rising. I know they are calling for rain so I need to get my butt in gear. The one thing that makes me happy and gets me out of my cave is knowing I can take long walks around my neighborhood.I have been missing my outside walk time. And I need to get back into my running too. If my poor feet will hold up.
Dam bunions are getting worse, but having just one side done would put me out of work a good 3 months.
Wishing you all a very happy day
Piper

TGIF my hermits! Started my day with a massage and now home finishing up some work for the work week and doing laundry too.
I don't have the hand strength I used to with the anastrozole meds. I often have to use those bottle grips or ask others to open tight lids.
I did some biz networking with my partnering firm here, and there is a cool opp that may come to fruitition after this current contract is done in June. Something where I may be able to work from home (ideal) and travel to the client site on the west coast and/or Hawaii on occasion. They placed one person so far, and may need more.
That would be SO cool!
-
Jazzy, Hawaii ... at an employer's expense ... wow.
