Lilly,
My heart goes out to you...we are here for you all of us. Each us of has different obstacles. We must stay strong.
Dutch, this is a journey for all of us here good or bad. Of course you can vent & share with us. That is what I do as well whether I feel good or bad.
Teka, good for you - a night out - I hope it was pleasant
I stayed home from work today as I have a cold which is making me feel more miserable than usual sinus pressure-heachache,constant runny nose. I sound lame I know but I just couldn't swing going to work today and truely function.
Let's hope tomorrow is a better day for all. -

Just checking in to say "hi." I am trying to get my few Christmas cards finished, but an unexpected long nap has slowed me down. -
Welcome! Persephone40
When out & about I avoided touching with bare hands. Gloves!
When home I used Lysol. Tried not to touch face!
Family was like a cocoon doing their damnedest to keep me germ free! -
Welcome Persephone--Again I echo Teka--I stupidly but had to work my first 4 months of chemo and I really was OK except one time and I worked with big public--but after surgery and back to chemo I felt the difference and my kids too would act as if I was a leper and come and do things for me without coming close to me but really there's not a lot u can do but avoid crowds, wear gloves, what else and now it Holiday season so it makes it harder my sister and I both were at our family Christmas party with loads of people I just layed down when I felt like it. But everyone is different, but I do think I started with a very strong immune system then cuz I never caught much of anything before BC But I never mind being alone so being alone is easy for me. I used to say I'm the funniest person I know so I had funn by myself, Now I'm the bitchyest person I know, with a lot of sarcasm. So....... we're here if u need us.

I love all you Hermits! I have been reading since August and have really enjoyed this thread. I am not able to remember names and keep up with threads very good,,,but I love the feeling of love I feel when I come here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! I enjoy the pictures too! -
Welcome fellow lurker! lovewins
We try not to fall off the perch or ruffle feathers. -
Oh Lovewins join in at any time we would enjoy it. This is such a very nice group of ladies all ages that really get along and understand some pretty crazy things how we feel. We're here, I guess for now we're on the recipe stuff for the holidays.
-
Although sometimes, camillegal is a pain in the butt. -
Just sometimes????
-
I'm being kind camillegal, it 'tis the holidays. -
Furfriend, (((hugs))) ... hope you feel better soon.
CCFW, it's good to hear that you felt great shoveling snow.
Welcome Persephone4.
Hi Teka and Cami
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, lovewins. -
CCFW,
Last winter I could barely shovel off the porches. Maybe stronger this winter. -
kathec, don't forget where you perch. -
Have to rub it in, can't help it. Was 84 here today.
Please don't throw too many snowballs at me -
I can't believe shoveling snow could make u feel good at any age. That was my job when I ws kid and I hated it and I vowed as an adult I would never do it, and I never did again.
Yes Teka be very kind to me I am also on an Aunti-B for something--who knows why that's why I hate Drs. every time I go I'm on another med. Teka I'm on so many that I'll order the same one 2x and I get a call saying u've gotten that one--these names are so obnoxious and all sound alike to me. So be kind I'm very confused all the time--and yet I got hired for a job--poor guy. LOL
-
SallyS70,
X-mas Mouse has only 15 days until X-mas Eve. -
Teka we bumped into each other sorry if I knocked u down.
-
camillegal,
Maybe confused but witty! -
Spookiesmom, did you go to the beach? -
Sally, you probably won't believe this. I haven't been to a beach in about 10 years. I'm 5 minutes from Honeymoon Island, a Fl state park. It's beautiful there. I'm 15 min from Clearwater Beach. Don't go there either. I can see the Gulf from my living room, it's 2 blocks away.
Why? The tourists, crowds, the heat, humidity, skin cancers, I know, excuses. But I wouldn't live anywhere else. -
Spookie no beach??? People would love to live where u are. OK not me, but a lot of people.
-
Thanks for the support. Sorry...I'm kind of embarrassed now.
I shoveled more than once since yesterday. I'm glad I can do it. I needed more help last winter. Very busy day at work and then a holiday choir concert. I'm glad to be home and warm. If I were to put my feet up I'd be asleep in no time.
-
Dutch don't be embarrassed it's great that u can do that--I'm jealous, well not really but u sound so happy. And of course u'r tired now take care of u'rself for you.

As jimmy Buffett says, salt air it ain't thin, it'll stick right to your skin, makes you feel fine. Don't need the beach to get sticky, just go out my door. Which is open at 10:12pm -

Ok mis Teka cat! : ) -
Oh I am soooo behind!! I'll try to catch up a bit It has been bitter cold here, today for the first time in several days we are actually in the double digits, 15°F. It has lightly snowed all day so tomorrow will be snow shoveling. Not sure how that is going to go, probably slowly!
Jazzy, I hadn't heard of mulberries for lowering bg. I'll look into it. Thanks! Actually my cholesterol has been coming down the longer I do low carb high fat (healthy saturated fats). I can't say anything about how the AI's would fit into the picture. I love all things trains! Nice pix! Oh man, that snowman pix is hilarious!!
CC thanks, he is my little love! He is a rescue with many psychological problems I'll never know the cause of but try to work with.
Survivortude, I am so sorry to hear of all the sh1t you are having to go through! I hope you can find some way to get the care you need.
kathec, I love Orphan Black!! It is amazing to realize that Tatiana is playing 6-7 parts and looks so different as each! I am totally hooked on that show!! And any shade of purple is my fav, can't wait to see lavender hair!
Sally, I have to just laugh at myself when you said you were behind in your paper work!! I am months behind!! And some of it is for my ebay business so have to get that sorted. I have just not had the energy/desire to dive into it!! Must do soon. I used to live in the Sierras, Arnold, CA and that snow was awful, wet and heavy and many feet at a time. At least the snow here in MT, it is powdery and light. I don't think I could handle the CA snow at this point.
Posting this before it disappears. More later. -
Lily, my heart goes out to you. Please know we are all here for you and if we could we would stand side by side with you arms linked and walk with you through all this sh1t we have to deal with!
Kathec, such kind words and so true!!
Blondie, so glad to hear you are feeling better!
Hi dutchiris! This is my first Holiday Season after dx, and frankly my head is still spinning from all of this. Hang in there, this is not your fault in any way. Try not to stress too much, it will get better.
Oh Cami, that old saying is so true for me. My DD will do anything she can for me in a heart beat. My DS has to ask DIL and "work it into his schedule" if possible. Have never had any kind of close relationship with her, but they drop everything for her parents. I have learned to just let it go and treasure any time I get with DS.
Posting so I don't lose this. I'm catching up a page at a time.
