GrammaB-I hope today will be a better one for you!
Kathec-did you paint your avatar? It's beautiful! -
Lynn1234, i did! I did! about five years ago. i was feeling very strong and full of life & myself, and i asked my boyfriend to take a picture for me of my back. he did, and then i painted a picture from it. i painted it with slightly exagerrated colors, just for fun, and had lots of fun doing it. took about a week, in which dinners were very late! -
Thinking of Sally this morning, and hope she is not in too much pain, and that her every whim is being granted. A pretty flower, from my tiny front yard for all to enjoy. -
Pretty cactus bloom! -
Oh so much catch up to do--I did tho---Jazzy and kath u 2 have special talent (as most do in different ways) but u'r like wordsmiths and u should put aide a time of day when u read u'r jurnals and right from them how wonderful.
Kath Don't go into those dark places in thinking about immortality---My mom lived 50 passed her dx so it's possible, anything is possible,U'r stronger than u think and u can put u'r thoughts to ease u'rself not frustrate u'rself, don't let cancer take u'r mind it's u'rs and no one else's.
I hope everyone being treated is doing OK, this is so hard to do.
Oh Girls my boss just came over to teach me a whole new computer business thing OMG he knows I'm computer-disabled so I wrote things down and I will try my best which equals someone else's so-so. This brain ain't what it used to be, but I used to it, so it doesn't bother me, but now I've put it on someone else. That's when I run into trouble. LOL -
love you, cami -
kath me too ---Oh I just had to use the new outlook thingy Kath ---I did it but I never can remember things again hahaha -
what is outlook, i dont even kow! -
Kath I'm just learning, it's some computer thing for I guess mostly businesses-so u file people's names and info, send E-mails and a calendar to schedule jobs the whole thing This is the newest one from Micro UGH I need to learn things not good at that at all. -
Sounds like you are doing great. it is always good to at least try! i just do the same ol thing i already know how to do! that way, i cant look too stupid. Ha! -
Sally, blondie, how are you doing?? -
Hi Hermits, I felt you with me yesterday. You gave me encouragement. I had the lumpectomy and SNB and was home by six. Today I am tired, so I'm off to another nap ... just wanted to say thanks for being here. -
sally, rest easy & take your time. we are holding you. -
-
Sally, napping is exactly what you need right now so do it as often as you feel the need!! Sending hugs and healing energy.
Camille, I too am all thumbs when it comes to computer techie stuff! A couple years ago I switched from a pc to mac and at least things are much more intuitive and I do pretty well with things. One thing I learned with all the problems I had on my pc was that google was my friend. What ever problem I was having or if I didn't understand a program I'd google it and eventually find an answer. Don't have to do that so much now.
kathec, I was wondering the same thing about your avatar. It is beautiful! Love the cactus flower too! -
Blondie...I hope you get some relief from the lung mets. Not being able to breath is no fun and makes everything hard. I'm sending hugs and warm thoughts your way.
I had my 11th taxol treatment yesterday...one more to go then onto AC, surgery and rads. I haven't had my post chemo crash (yet) so I'm very grateful I had a good afternoon yesterday and a nice day today. -
Sally... hoping you are warm, snoozing, and using all your energy to heal. Please don't be shy about pain meds. That's what they're there for...
Simple... glad for your good days.
kathec... holding you. Nice image. Sally... we are. And--pretty bloom! We just had a hard freeze, so all blooms are gone.
Teka... How did Teka's vet trip go... or am I confused?
Blondie... hugs and hopes for a deep breath.
Camille... In class, we were talking about allusion. Could you ask Joey (hum or sing a few bars?) if he recognizes the Battle Hymn of the Republic or Dixie? My kids were completely clueless except for "Oh! That's from Dukes of Hazard!" sp? (We read parts of MLK's mountaintop speech, and he ended with Mine eyes have seen the glory. They didn't get it.) Wonder how regional exposure differs. (sigh) -
skittle my son in law is a BIG guy, about 6'6. For next Halloween he wants to be Paul Bunyon. He asked his kids if they knew who that is. Neither had a clue. Sad. -
Agh! We're losing tale tales, fables, fairy tales... Literary culture of decades is disappearing! (But I love the idea. Wonder where he could get two friends a blue ox costume?) :-) -

Kathec, your avatar is amazing
I think I'm really becoming a true hermit, can't get myself out of the house most days. While I prefer to be a homebody, this is becoming the extreme... -
No way, I am really shocked now, Veggy gone.....and so fast.......... -
And Spamgirl has gone too............jeez I need to go back to being a real hermit....... -
Hermits- my condolences to all here about the loss of some of the ladies on this web site. I don't know these individuals you are mentioning from the threads I am on, but it does not matter either. More women being taken by this disease. Peace to all the hermits here today. -
Oh chit Lily, I didn't know about Spamgirl, I talked with her over time just a few times----I'm so sorry. -
Sitting here with my mouth open re Veggy....new things had moved but that was fast....OMG, wondered where she was...damn....GRANNY where ru....she moved to be closed to her.....
Jazzy I think the book would be a great idea I would read it...
Cammie...outlook is like for the office....has a calendar, e-mail etc.....
Sally hang in there, time is the healer here....I remember 17 years ago when I first got diagnosed and had one of them....it was a PIA but I made it through...
ducky, I know how you feel my head wants to do things but the body doesn't cooperate mine does it all the time...
to everybody else {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}} happy friday to all of you who work
