Great pics Glad you jumped in Stefajoy. Baby shower went well Did a game that I hadn't hard of before. Guess how big the belly is. You measure the preg bally with a string ribbon or something and people measure a length of string or such then whoever's string is closest to the size of the belly string wins a prize. DD an SIL are in a one bedroom apt so most of the gifts are now in my attic. I wonder how they will fit all the baby gear into the apt. They are looking to find a larger place bu I am trying to considerate and not offer too much advice.I have trouble trying to keep my big mouth shut. LOL
-
LOL@NY...it's hard not to give advice! So nice of you to store things. The shower and game sound like fun - will have to remember that for the next baby shower I throw.
I had great fun at Cora's 2nd birthday party. I'll post pics soon. She was so funny. And her mother baked a cake that was shaped like a kitty. Very cute.
Hugs to all,
Terre

Oh NYC, this mom/grandmom sits on her hands and bites her lips shut more often then I can say - jolly good for us for trying to be good (!). Bet your kids are glad that mom can help. SUE
-
Biting ones tongue is a skill that many good grandmas develop. For the pleasures of a grandchild, and the pleasure of not having to raise them, it is a skill worth learning (not always easy),

Haven't been here in a while but just finished reading posts from the last two months! Good to hear everyone is out living life to the fullest! I have enjoyed all the wonderful pictures. I've been on a hiatus as well but forced because I've spent a lot of time at my mom's where I get no internet. Fighting bronchitis at the moment but hope to get a thumbs up from my doc so I can leave Friday on our planned Norway trip. DH's relatives will be so disappointed if we are unable to go! Love this thread
-
Gatorgal,
So very good to hear from you! I was wondering where you'd been, but sorry to hear about the bronchitis. Please baby yourself on the flight as flying can be a bit rough on the respiratory system. Ha en god ferie. Jeg elsker Norge! (Well, actually I should say norsk, since I've never been to Norge)

Caryn,
I will have a great time and will take lots of pictures. Will share some on my return! I have been to Norway twice before. It is nice having a husband who is Norwegian as it gives us reason to keep going back to one of the most beautiful places in the world. You should visit next summer!

One of my dreams is to see the Aurora Borealis in Norway while on a Hurtigruten cruise... Sigh...
-
Our original plan was the hurtigruten cruise but his cousin said most of the family lived in other parts of Norway so we decided against it. Caryn, you can make your dream come true! We are flying into Bergen and one of his cousins (Jan Erik) and wife will pick us up. We'll spend a day and a half in Bergen and then he has arranged for a friend to take us on a private boat tour of one of the fjords near Bergen. We will then go to Eikefjord where we will spend several days with Jan Erik's sister, Marit, who has visited us twice in the states. The family reunion will be August 8 in Eikefjord. We will also visit the family farm in ramsdal where Andy's mother and all her 9 brothers and sisters were born and raised. It is still in the family. We will then travel to another beautiful fjord (sorry, can't remember the names and that info is on my desktop) and then go east to Jan Erik's home in drammen. It is near Oslo so we will do some sightseeing there. Of course the scenery will be gorgeous as we travel! Then our last weekend we will be in Mysen which is southeast of Oslo with a cousin's daughter and her family who just visited us here a few weeks ago. We will fly home from Oslo on August 16.

Glenna,
What a wonderful trip you've got planned. I love working, but it seriously interferes with my ability to travel. Hurtigruten has their best Northern Lights oriented cruises in the winter. Sadly, my school district feels like they already give me enough time off 😜. So, when I retire Norwayand the Panama Canal are on tap.
Well, I got tired of my avatar being my cute Pomeranian, so I replaced it with my even cuter granddaughter.
-
She's beautiful, Caryn! Thanks for sharing!
-
Caryn she's adorable!
Glenna your trip sounds wonderful. Holding thumbs doc gives you the thumbs up to travel. Would not want to miss out on that adventure!
-
Gator gal, great to see you; have missed you.
Exbrnxgrl, your granddaughter really rocks the Fedora! Such a beautiful child.
-
Caryn, what a candid photo of your granddaughter, she is absolutely adorable! She has the most beautiful eyes.
-
Beautiful Caryn!
-
wow, Caryn, what a beautiful child, and an awesome photographer! I am feeling better after two days on the antibiotics. Think I will be good to go ... Now, gotta find the energy to pack! Missed you, too, Divine!!
-
Thank you all for the compliments. Clearly, this "Mimi" agrees with you. Not sure whether my dad or SIL took the photo, but it sure wasn't me. She looks exactly like my SIL, but with my dd's coloring. Her personality is exactly like my dd's. It brings back do many memories of when she was little. Hard to believe that she's 31. Time really does fly.

First day at work without my wig!
Treated myself to hair cut & colour over the weekend because I've missed my hairdresser :-). Little one & I always have such special mommy daughter times being pampered so it was wonderful to do it again after all these months.
-
You look amazing, Karz! Thanks so much for sharing the photo!
-
Karz, dang, you DO look wonderful!
One of my recent fun times was cheating on my hairdresser. No good picture yet but I changed my color and cut. Now I have to find a way to tell my long time hairdresser because I like the new one better. And it cost me less. And they are open on Sundays!
Caryn, omg- she is so so beautiful!
Gatorgal best wishes for a wonderful trip!

Quick update: skin lesion was not basal cell carcinoma, but a very angry pre-cancerous lesion. No further tx needed. Very relieved. Healing a bit slowly, but I have no complaints 😊.
-
Great news Caryn!
-
Yay, Caryn, and yes your grand daughter is lovely: serious and calm, too. Beautiful child.
-
Nice to hear, exbrnxgrl.
Intothewoods, cant wait to see a photo.
Karz, you look fabulous.
-
Caryn - what a lovely photo of you Granddaughter. Glad the skin lesion has been taken care of.
Karz- you look stunning! My hair was about the same length when I ditched the wig. Having always had long hair I found it unexpectedly empowering.
Glad you joined in on the waterfall fun Stefajoy.
Best wishes to everyone with trips and fun stuff planned! I'm a bit bummed that the vacation we had planned for next week has been postponed, but I continue to live vicariously through all of your photos until I have some of my own to post!
-
Karz,
Love the sassy cut and color. It suits you quite well
-
Hooray, Caryn!
-
Have a young French cousin visiting, and tonight we took her to a ball game. I only wish the game had been better.

Finally got the family to put on some clothes and come together for a photo op on our last day in Hawaii.
