Shaneoak~We're watching the Americans also. Pretty good so far!

Haven't seen Nurse Jackie for such a long time must check and see if I missed the last season or not.Anyone looking forward to the Grammy award show tonight.i love to watch the performances. Now the stars have to behave with their outfits.Taking some of the fun out of the show but the music is much more important.
-
I have also been watching the Americans, Followers, (sp), and on cable, Alias, which I love. I somehow missed it in its original 120 episode run. I am on episode 30 and really like it.
I am still anxious for the start of the Breaking Bad episodes.
Where did the Martha Stewart show go? I haven't seen it in a while now.

I really missed coming to this thread. Always looked forward to see what's worth watching. Still stuck on my Breaking Bad/Sons of Anarchy/ Sunny in Philadelphia kick. Searching for another winner. I'm a huge movie fan, so just had to comment on the Oscars. How can someone as funny as Seth MacFarlane suck so hard at the Oscars? For that matter, all the people who are usually funny....nothing but crickets. The writers must have had a heavy hand this year and not allowed people to do their thing. Everyone seemed stifled. That was painful. I felt so bad for him. Wasn't that sock puppet version of "Flight" funny though? (the only thing).

Deleted, post showed up twice.

Gracie~have you tried the Following? It's a great show, and you never know who the bad guys or good guys are.
It stars Kevin Bacon as a former FBI agent who's called back into the field when a serial killer he put away escapes from prison. The killer, Carroll is recaptured pretty quickly, but the FBI finds out he has a cult following all over to do his bidding and to continue killing people including themselves if he tells them to.
Good one

I am still watching reruns of Alias on Netflicks, love it.
When will Breaking Bad be back? Anyone know.
Americans is good and has a catch up marathon today Friday.
Following is also a good one.
I loved the musical numbers on the Academy Awards. I assume the producers did not approve the jokes that were proposed. I did not like Adelle.

Ginger~We're also watching the Americans & the Following. The Following never seizes to freak me out! The number of people you can't trust is astounding!
I'm not sure when BB comes back. It's supposed to be summer sometime. I'll see if I can find out.
Blessings

Hey, Ginger!
More scoop on BB. An interview with Anne Gunn aka Skyler White where she said, quote:
"What Walt's actions have wrought, everything starts to explode and implode. Every single person around him is being affected by it in a very, very dark way. It's kind of like watching the walls of this world crumble down. And I find myself having to lock myself away in a quiet room to read the scrips. I'll find my hands shaking as I turn page after page because what they're coming up with is so intensely mind-blowingly brilliant. The twists and the turns and the unexpected things that are happening are breathtaking, and your heart is leaping into your throat and it's going to be that kind of ride for the viewers."
I put the title of the #1 episode above, and while I don't know them all, I do know:
Episode #7 (#5.15=which means Season 5, Episode 15) is "Fifty-Two"
And the title of the Series Finale Episode #8 (#5.16) is:
"Crystal Clear"
Wow!! I. Am. So. Looking. Forward. To. These 8 episodes.
And I will be so sad when it ends.........

-
Oh 5 point 9 I thought it was just five episodes left 5 6 7 8 9.
I am so glad I was wrong.
Wow at the little preview of emotions to come.
I just finished Alias 105 episodes. I really enjoyed the series. I like spy shows very much.
I have been watching Followers, it is good in some ways but I dont like all the use of women and the stabbing of, mostly women it seems to me.
The Americans is good, spy show again
, but I think it is really good. -
Hmmm
I don't watch much TV but I do like
Revenge, Good Wife
Reality - Masterchef
Humour - Seinfeld reruns and Big Bang ( my father is just like Sheldon)
Much love

Ginger ~ loved Alias, love those spy shows, also. Yes, The Americans is very good. I love espionage!
I do watch The Followers, the best for me is not knowing who to trust, who is truly good or bad.
Gai, I always watch Revenge in real time & never miss The Good Wife - love my DVR!
I learned a couple of weeks ago that Starz's Boss (with Kelsey Grammer-hope I spelled his name right) was canceled in Nov due to low ratings. Bummer! I really liked that show. A film is being discussed to finish the show's storyline which would be great.
That new show on DirecTV Audience Network-- Rogue -- which starts 4.13.13 looks good, have to check that out.
Lots of new shows on DirecTV coming up to sample, too many to mention.
Hey, has anybody caught that Bates Motel? Strange, but I'll watch the next one.
-
We also watch REVENGE, The GOOD WIFE, the FOLLOWING, BB, JUSTIFIED, the AMERICANS, and we DVRd BATES MOTEL.
If you've never seen JUSTIFIED and have Netflix , its an awesome show.
Paula -
I haven't watched justified. I'll give it look see. Thanks
GInger
-
Justified is great, lots of fun. Very good dialogue. Timothy Olyphant as Raylan Givens & his sparing/connection with Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder is fabulous. And both are easy on the eyes!!!!!

-
I love Boyd Crowder. As a matter of fact, I call it The Boyd Crowder Show!
I especially liked the second season with Ma Bennett and her misfit sons.
Paula -
Yes, Yes, Yes, the last season of Justified was exceptionally good! The "Boyd Crowder Show" - Good one, Paula!
Game of Thrones begins its new season March 31. I really hope it is better than last year. I remember Marybe stopped watching it because it contained more swearing & sex than the books. She & I read the books & we knew what they encompassed & we were disappointed. I did watch it but if I fell asleep, I didn't go back & rewatch, I just didn't care as much.
-
I have always liked the books more than the films made from them, all except for one that I cannot remember!
Ginger
-
Valjean I do love Revenge it was the only TV I watched last year. A girfriend had the current season on a disc so I watched it over 2 days over the holidays.
A watched a show once called "Touch" while on holidays so i am waiting for that to come on here (Sydney) now.
And I forgot to add Sex and The City!!

Those of you into Downton Abbey might find these interesting and anyone who likes movie fashion.
-
I LOVE movie fashion. Love it! Thank you.
GInger
-
Is anyone watching BATES MOTEL? It's pretty good.
Paula -
Apparently, the guy is being threatened in jail. Can't find the news article though. Wouldn't want to be him if he leaks the script.
-
Ginger - You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed them.
-
Is any watching Mr. Selfridge on PBS? Ginger - It has lots of fashion. He owns a London department store.
-
I have it recorded but havent started viewing yet. I was happy to see Jeremy Piven get a lead role.
