Valjean - thanks for the heads up about Albuquerque. Given half the chance DH and I would move to NM even at our ages 61 and 63.

Paula - I'm pretty sure it would be available on CBS.com. I know soaps are (wink-wink). I had trouble finding news on at the right time. Seems like all took diff. starting times. Besides I was tied up with watching the Texas Rangers lose - again. Hockey season starts next month.

Hi All - I've never posted here but I wanted to share with you a really good TV program.  I just finished watching "Silk" a 3-part series from PBS.  Its available for viewing online for about the next 3 or 4 weeks.  it is the best!  Lady lawyer story but its not so much the story, which is so interesting, but about the characters and acting. Can't say enough.  I was glued to the TV screen.

Liz - I'm a great PBS fan. I did not see the last 2 episodes but must have been 2 weeks ago episode that I saw, I guess episode #1. It was good. I can't remember what interfered this week. My PBS does not repeat episodes - at least I don't think so. I forget to look by the end of the week. Maybe I will try online. I still need to rewatch Last Tango in Halifax again. Had it open but never got around to it. We get Lark Rise to Candleford, followed by Last Tango (was Call the Midwife) and Silk. Wonder what Masterpiece Classic is next? I think there are some Miss Marple's either just done or almost that we have not seen. Oh, see they are just airing in UK in June with last episode with a TBA date. Drat, must wait. Foyle's War is up next but doesn't say what is beyond that.

Oh, my, so many comments to make have I !!

leggo ~ Omg, I hope you have located a time to watch SOA. I'd look for you now, but I'm on the computer watching the news back here in my computer room at 1:20 am. It was .............. WOW! First comment: I will never think of Piss & Vinegar the same way again. ~ LOL ~ You will understand what I mean when you watch the episode. Next: The last few minutes ~ omg, my jaw dropped. I don't want to spoil anything.... I will say this: I have wondered whether something like this would happen considering with what SAMCRO does. This is going to play out BIG TIME! Major!!! You have got to see this!!  All I can say is OMG! Let me know when you see it. Oh yeah, do you know that SOA ends after Season 7, next year? And if Kurt Sutter needs a few extra episodes to wrap things up, he will do that also.

Soteria ~  YES! I missed the second half of Dome, too! Dang them! What was it, football?? It reminded me that with the new TV season beginning soon that I will once again have to record the show after the show I want to DVR. I always have to do that with The Good Wife. That runs over due to starting late due to football. GRRRRR! That affects any other show I wish to record with a start time of 10:00. I can only record one show while watching another. (have DirecTV)

luvmygoats ~ Hey, we always watch the Detroit Tigers. And I can't wait for hockey to start! Go Red Wings! (& college hockey on the weekend) The ages of you & your DH are the ages of myself & my DH. lol - We're not old, are we?!? NO WAY!

Liz ~ I really enjoyed Silk. Very good. I love Masterpiece Theater.

I see The Killing that aired on AMC was canceled, again. Oh, well. I thought this past season was good, but apparently, AMC did not.

Anybody seen the trailer for HBO's True Detective that airs Jan. 2014? Looks good. Staring Matthew McConaughey (can anybody say Eye Candy?!!) & Woody Harrelson.

This was on the Yahoo 45 top stories today. AMC moving ahead with BB spinoff.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/12/business/media/breaking-bad-spinoff-better-call-saul-is-picked-up-by-amc.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=0

The New York Times article but the Yahoo search says "Breaking Bad spinoff".

Sorry I can't get the link to go live but any search should bring it up.

Valjean, I can't find a re-broadcast, at least not on any channels we get. I'll have to catch up next week. In the meantime, did anything happen that was worse than killing off Opie? that almost made me stop watching. I'm not really that fond of any other characters (except the sherriff). Jacks is sure easy on the eyes, though.

Luvmygoats, I remember hearing about the spin-off. I'm thinking lightning won't strike twice, but you never know. As it is now, there's only four shows I watch. Hopefully, I'll have another.

I really wanted to love "Under the Dome", because I liked the book and I really liked a couple of the cast members. It just didn't do it for me a few episodes in. Waaaayyy off the book (which wouldn't be so bad if it were better) but it just seems they're reaching to keep the story going.

I hope we haven't seen the last of Aaron Paul. Everyone else has picked up other work, but I haven't seen anything being advertised with him. I hope he gets something soon so he's not typecast. Maybe he'll be in Saul's new show.

Eta: luvmygoats, if you have netflix, I highly recommend you give BB a try. I was initially turned off by the premise (because of the cancer thing) but it's not like that. The cancer and the meth aspects are very well done, but I understand your apprehension about it hitting close to home. I do think you might be pleasantly surprised that the show is more than the sum of it's parts. Normally, if a show even mentions cancer in their story line, I'm out. This one's different. You might feel the same about the meth.

Wow - watching Fox Business News (going to have Dale Earnhardt Jr on) and blub about Sons of Anarchy comes on about # of viewers. You gals that watched evidently just made the news LOL.

I don't know if I might get DH involved with BB. We generally watch diff. things. He loves (this is terrible) Trailer Park Boys. I think DH is really only 5 years old in some ways and not 63. He's been watching the Bourne trilogy again after work. I don't think that's what I'd be watching to wind down.

I've also been watching Talking Bad on AMC it's very interesting all of the BB actors have been on, all biting their tongues but Brian Cranston did say we will all be satisfied, whatever that means.  And yes go on PBS.org as you can watch online, I usually catch up that way.

LOL, luvmygoats. I never missed an episode of Trailer Park Boys. I was sad when that ended. I had no idea it was available in the States. Don't know if your hubby knows or not, but the boys will be back on webisodes. Apparently "Ricky" and "Julien" bought the rights so the series can continue. Yay!

leggo - We first watched off DirecTV on whatever channel it was. But yes, he watches online now. Didn't know they bought the rights. We live in a rural area and even though the show is Canadian we can identify with the characters.Wink Our local weekly paper always has the latest arrests.

Last year my husband started watching reruns of Duck Dynasty. I thought (because of the stupid promo) that the show was idiotic! I'd be busy on my iPad, reading BCO, FB or something, and I'd hear bits & pieces of it. Long story short....I'm more addicted to it than he is. We've caught up on all the reruns, and have never missed an episode. It proves, "Don't judge a book by its cover."

I'm surprised that with a spinoff of BB coming up, that of all people, its about that sleazy Saul!

If you've never seen REVENGE, its a great show to catch up on! I'm hooked!

Valjean~~I also set the DVR to tape the shows following the GOOD WIFE, and MENTALIST, because football always causes them to start later. UNDER the DOME rerun from Monday airs Sat. Night on CBS. There's a football game earlier in the evening, so I set the shows behind it to tape too.

leggo - maybe bits/pieces but I could not ID movies. Don't know if DH has but if it can be had online I bet he has. OOO - I see there is a 3rd movie in production due out end of year or early next year. Will have to remember to tell DH tonight.

Paula - I'm sure DH has seen some Duck Dynasty but don't think it's in his regular viewing. Does anyone find Google searches scary? All I had to put in was "du" and 1st choice was "Duck Dynasty". Pretty sure Google knows my taste in searches. LOL. Last few have been Trailer Park Boys and Dale E. Jr. I need to throw them off and search a highbrow subject.

luvmygoats, I think you can still watch the last episodes of Silk.  They are available online until 10/8. here's the link  www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/watch-online/

luvmygoast and Valjean I can't wait to watch the new series of Foyle's War which will be starting this sunday.  Absolutely love the previous episodes.

Thanks Cowgirl. I could not find Silk on there but I didn't think of going to WGBH. Will have a fun fest on them maybe tomorrow. Noticed it said new season of Sherlock Holmes in 2014.

Have not seen Foyle's War. Will give it a test run. Thanks.

I have found that I am not totally in love with Under the Dome. I had not watched the last three episodes & thought I'd catch up with the one this week & then ended up not seeing it cos of the delay. Thanks, Soteria, for the heads up for the re-airing this coming Sat. I will set my DVR. And, yes, I do watch Revenge when I can. The problem is it's on the same time as The Good Wife, which I will not miss. So, Revenge is out when hockey is on. Have to give up something. I was totally p.o.'d when they moved it to that spot for the second season forward. So when the hockey game is finished & DH goes to bed, I flip over to Revenge or record it for a later date.

Duck Dynasty is a hoot! I had read about it previously but had never checked it out. When TV Guide had an article about the show & how high the ratings were for the first episode of the last season, DH & I watched all the episodes to get caught up. It does take your mind away from the day's happenings (i.e. news, economy, etc). I like all kinds of shows, but it is very refreshing to watch a family not harp at each other - not call each other horrible names - and I LOVE the family dinner at the end with their prayer.

Okay, leggo, about SOA. I don't want to spoil anything, but.... Just think of what could possibly happen as a direct result of SAMCRO selling those guns & what if one gets in the wrong hands. Nobody we know & love dies, but something tragic happens. It's going to set the stage for this season & I believe the next season as well. The killing of Opie is something I will never forget .... that still gives me goosebumps.... his name was mentioned in the episode & a small clip shown in the recap of the previous season before the episode began brought it to the fore. Back to the season opener, I kept wondering what was going to happen to this *** & when it did at the end, I was caught off guard. I read an article earlier this evening about some  groups already not happy with the storyline.

ETA - Had BB instead of SOA in the paragraph above. sorry!

Found it Valjean. Holy cow! That was something else. For as much as I feel compelled to keep following along, it's getting pretty old to see Otto being abused over and over again. I'm starting to wonder if that's just Sutter's way of getting his acting jollies in. It's getting really hard to watch Tara with her unrequited loyalty too....stupid woman. It was definately a shocker though. My mouth dropped open more than once.

If our big old non-HD TV will ever give up we might get some DVR services from DirecTV. Right now it is one program at a time on - yes - VHS. We are still in the dinosaur age. Unless of course it can be found online.

leggo - DH did not know about a 3rd Trailer Park Boys movie but he has seen the others.

Valjean - yes hockey season. Esp since the Rangers have lost the last 3 games. Bummer. They freq. fade right after All Star break. This is a little late for them.

Has anyone watched Derek on Netflix? The 7 episodes of the first season are just out on Netflix. It's British comedy-drama set in a retirement home. Stars Ricky Gervais. I laughed and cried at every episode.

TarheelMichelle ~ no I haven't seen Derek. I have heard about it though. I don't have Netflix so probably no chance to see it unless they run it on BBCA. Ricky Gervais is a very funny guy.

Yes, Soteria, tonight's episode is the first. I happened to remember that I had set my DVR so I could watch the series again & thought I would give it a shout-out here in case anybody wanted to catch it for the first time or again. Most shows I wouldn't watch again but this is one I would.

Oh, I happened to read earlier some news about Deadliest Catch in case there is anybody here who has watched it. Apparently there was a post on Twitter or FB, don't remember which, from Josh Harris that the Cornelia Marie would not be on the new season of the show which is to begin filming very soon. The boat was not optioned by Discovery Channel for the show. It will be fishing & perhaps being filmed but not for Discovery. There may be more news to follow says Josh Harris. I will always remember Capt Phil Harris....  I was always hoping Josh would be able to fish on that boat after it was removed from dry dock; I was hoping he would succeed in his father's footsteps. But, maybe it is best. Maybe the ghost of Capt Phil........ well. Just me thinking strange things.... lol

I need to watch or just delete some shows off my DVR to make room for the new fall season. I have some movies on there I haven't seen in years I really want to watch again. ~~ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof ~ Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf? ~ The Postman Always Rings Twice (the original) I love old movies.

I second that emotion...OMG!!!  Tonight was the most intense opisode of BB yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How many more episodes are left now?

Missed Under the Dome one week because of travel (moved son to grad. school in Boston) and then couldn't even find it the next week, but did see a repeat of that one so I am ready for the finale.

All you Breaking Bad fans:  I just mentioned my son for a reason...so, a couple days ago he went out to a restaurant in Boston and there, sitting at the next table, was SAUL (Bob Odenkirk) having dinner with David Cross (Tobias from Arrested Development.)  He let them eat in peace.   I don't think I could have gotten thru' the meal without remarking, "Wonder if Saul is joining the Blue Man Group?"

Well, ain't that cute -- had a post written & it is ??? where ??? Hit submit & it's not here. Will try to remember ....Yell

    Just watched the BB episode.

    OMG  Surprised

I think I had my hand over my mouth Sealed for at least the second half of the episode.

    He's losing it.........

Walter White is Breaking....... BAD !!

And I keep thinking of the very first few minutes of the first episode of these final eight where Walter was in his house..... his damaged home........ getting the ricin.......

E~ How cool for your son to have seen Bob Odenkirk! (I hope his barn door was closed!) And "Tobias" - Arrested Development was a fun show. Strange show at times, but I watched it anyway.

I had something else written but I don't remember what it was.

How in the world is Jesse going to get out of this mess? I couldn't believe it when Walt insisted they take Jesse out! He's always had a soft spot for Jesse in the past.

How many episodes are left? Is it 2?

I almost......almost shed a tear when Walt was giving Skyler a way out at the end. Just a little bit of redemption. It's so hard to watch what's happening to Jesse. Walt's going to save him, I think.
