Alternative Treatment

My acupuncturist sent me to the ho'opononpono site and the one showing the experiments on water. I listen to the song/meditation while I go to sleep at night. Very soothing.
We use the turmeric spice everyday on our food. My dh mixes it with garlic powder and black pepper to help our bodies absorb it. We have found that it really makes a differences for those joint aches too.
-
I am taking 900 mg two times a day of the curcumin capsules. I think I prob need to double that though.
-
Thx very much for all that info- I hate the thought of such a high dosage AND so many pills for 1 supplement! PITA
-
I know, I don't like taking the handful a day that I take either but may as well take enough to actually make a difference. Natural treatments are not as strong and fast as prescription meds.
-
Oh yes, I know ...just a pita !
thx

Pasta with turmeric, garlic and pepper mixture on top for dinner tonight.

Thanks, Mods !

So many ideas. Pip57, where is the music?
Have to head for bed.

I found it on ITunes. I put it multiple times on a playlist so it just keeps going over and over. There is also a meditaion on ITunes but I prefer the song.

purple - I take both boswellia and curcumin. I was told by my naturopath that curcumin phytosome makes the curcumin more available, and that was what he recommended I take (so I do). I know that some people who are ER+ are hesitant to take it, as I understand that the processing uses soy. As you can see, I am also ER+ (highly so) but I take the curcumin phytosome anyway. (As a side note, I've noted an improvement in my asthma since taking boswellia)
-
Hmmmmmm. the estrogen then is in the processing??, I've planned to go back taking turmeric, no processing there, for some time. I took it with cinnemon & half & half (no good I know, the cinnemon okay0, I got some organic cinnemon from indonesia recently, it's in bits of bark & it broke my grinder (it was several years old) I pound it in a coconut mortar & then strain it through fine mesh strainer. I'll bet the pices have some oil still. I fear for my appendix though unless I strain for the powder. It is very delicious

garden
That interests me greatly since I have lung diesease, incl. and asthmatic component. Can you pls tell me more on the specific boswelia and where you get it ?
Also, I *finally* got some answers from BS today . Seems I am nearly 100% ER pos and maybe 85 or 90 PR pos.
2% increase in arm so far, and she does see the lymphedema in the breast/very mild.

abigail - be careful about cinnamon, because it needs to be REAL cinnamon, and some of it isn't. Unfortunately, at this moment I cannot remember the difference in the names - but one of them (real cinnamon) is good for you, the other (which is less expensive and thus more tempting to use), if you are ER+ well, not so good.
purple, I buy the standardized boswellia from Nature's Way. It's a little more expensive, but I'm at least under the impression that it's better to take a dosage that is always the same. I think it is important, though, for all of us to remember that most all of the alternative anti-inflammatory medications are also blood thinners, so I'm very cautious about dosages - I tend to under dose - for example, the boswellia bottle says I should take three tablets a day. I take one.

Good to know garden ...thanks!
Does anyone know of a healthy ALT that happens to have the SE of raising BP ? -
checked it, garden, at first I though must be the estrogen type as it broke my (old) grinder, but I checked & It was from star west the organic true cinnemon sourse, the other, is from cassia
-
This cinnamon thing I just learned details last night, checking info on diabetes for DSIL
Cassia is the one with couramin that can build as a toxin in liver. One can handle some for awhile, in small amounts like 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon day. The only way for it not to is to soak a cassia conn stick in hot water or tea and then you get the cinnamon benefit but the couramin does not go into drink.
The cinnamon we want is ceylon cinnamon. Has a negligible amount of the couramin, infinitely less than the cassia type.
There were studies, for blood sugar, but I am using it for a cleanser. I use cinnamon oil with grapefruit oil in oil on my breasts and underarm node areas, all over a few times a day.
I am ordering the ceylon tomorrow.
Just stopped in bco to read and say hello. I am still doing very well after using the red and black raspberry seed powder, I feel great.

I have some mushroom supplements sold to me by a DR for $40. I have decided not to use them and will gladly send them ( free ). If anyone wants add'l info , please PM me.
I would like to know more about GSE from those of you who take it.
How many mgs per day and has it lowered your BP. ( Mine is already too low )
Have you ' felt' any impact or not ?.
THX! -
Purple could you share why you decided not to take the mushroom supplements.
Mushrooms are very good for our immune system. -
Sure, scotties
It's just that I have too many contrainidcations.
I felt the GSE is better for my hormonal issues as well as my cirulation and both supplements tend to lower BP. My BP is really bottoming out now that I dont add any salt to my diet due to LE. ( Drs had me salt loading for yrs to maintain the 90/60) It's simply a choice between 2 products , and I am taking a risk as it is taking anything at all that could lower the BP more , but my circulation is so poor now , i wanted to go for the GSE.
I would love to hear more specifics from others who are on the GSE.
THX
-
Purple - what is GSE? I'm interested as my BP has been rather high since my surgeries, and I'm always worried that they're going to try to put me on some puking drug for it.
-
Garden...it is grape seed extract.
-
Thanks, Pip!!! I'll check it out.
-
Purple32....,sorry for the delay, but thank you for explaining .....it's too bad because there are so many different kinds of mushrooms now they say are good for us.

My DIL's mother has been diag with Stage IV, TNBC. Not looking good and they are only recommending mild chemo because of her parkinsons. So my DIL is looking into alternative treatments and found something called Escozine. Does anyone here have any experience with it? She is wanting feedback from someone who has tried it.
-
according to a quick look on the internet it's blue scorpion serum
-
Abigail thanks yes we have googled it and read about it but DIL is wanting to see if she can find anyone who had used it and see what their take on it is.
-
sherry
sounds pretty risky for stage 4. Perhaps you should chk out the stage 4 forum (?)
Good luck to her ! -
If I were stage 4 I would still use the red and black raspberry seed POWDER in high 'doses' and often each day. The Hollings Institute research showed the cancer cells stopped duplicating after 48 hrs and started to die natural death at 72 hrs. I know the cancer activity in me turned around the week I started it, I was ill and could hardly stand to eat anything that month, it just all changed. I would also use other supplements I tested positively for through bioenergetics or energy testing. I use Laetrile now off and on, Rose Laurel OPC Oleander from N America off and on. I take Protandim at high dose 5 days ea month. I have to make sure the D3 is on high side of optimum level, the thyroid and hormones are balanced. Must never be constipated and I use probiotics. Always build immune system. Never go too acidic.
Comments on the Blue scorpion serum, until now, had never heard of it and at first consideration would not want to try it, seemed risky.
Then read and reailized they now seem to be selling / using a homeopathic version but the product originally was this liquid and used for pain, inflammation and apotosis. Here is a link to some info on the liquid ......
Here is on the homeopathic variation which is not what was used in the research.
They are not saying the liquid they are selling ishomeopthic or not, so am concerned a the honesty. Read the last link for the huge question to come up for you too.
I am not afraid of homeopathy. I am leary of taking blue scorpion serum on a regular 'dose'.
I do understand that they may need a real serum from the scorpion for the apotosis. I do understand homeopathy and do not think it can work for apotosis. It can work for pain and inflammation. Cell death through homeopathy? Only if it hits the mark on activating the immune system to deal with cancer cells. Is this scorpion serum doing so? Perhaps.
I know if I took this and it was working, I would not stop taking it when I stopped chemo. I for one would try it w/o chemo to see if it worked for apotosis. Not saying no chemo, just that I would want to know what is doing what in this case since chemo is invasive.
If I could I would use the 714X from Canada for one. I would love to afford the PolyMVA or Protocel. Someday I may have to.
Thanks for bringing the blue scorpion serum to the table. More to learn. Please bring back what you find out, that's how the thread works, info in and info taken. Thanks!
