You need to check your facts. She had an untreatable cancer which is why she tried salves.  This was stated repeatedly. Please do not malign her after her death the way you did when she was alive. Let her rest in peace and bless her memory.

I'm so sorry you're having a bad time again.

please, this won't help anything.  We can try from this day forward to get along, or we can keep on resurection old slights, slags, and malalignments of philosophy.  She was an open and optimistic human being, and now Chilipadi is nor more.  We have lost another member of our community, lets not try to push any more away.

Nobody knows what another persons "mistake " is .

Perhaps the other tx would have killed her - maybe she would have perished under the knife.  Once one TX is done, nobody can say what the other would have done...except GOD.

NattyPatty - I never maligned Chilli. My facts are absolutely correct BTW. The reason her cancer became untreatable is because she didn't have surgery when she had the recurrence. The main reason I brought this up is so that any other vulnerable person reading this won't get sucked in to alternative treatments that don't work. I really do not understand your statement that I'm having a bad time - are you getting me mixed up with someone else???

This is a quote from Chilli in 2010. I will say no more on the matter:

"Despite combing intensively through this board and others, I have never found any personal testimonial for an alternative cure for cancer which really and truly works. Have you? I know that some other members of this forum have also been searching for a purely alternative, sure-thing cure, but they haven't found it either. I've been there and done that -  oh so many protocols. tonics etc. your head would spin like Linda Blair - and I've been totally disillusioned. My biggest regret is that I didn't give conventional medical treatment a chance until my cancer was advanced."

We are all vulnerable, and yet .....

The ladies on this board are well informed and make their OWN choices.  It is in poor taste to bring this up after someone has passed.

FURTHERMORE, you dont get to decide if ppl are being :" sucked in " or not. We have an ALT. TX.  thread in fact , on this forum. Ppl. decide FOR THEMSELVES. They dont consider themselves suckers after that - whatever happens.

Your posts are very offensive and not well received.

Suzy is correct. Of course, it might have killed her anyway, but she did refuse surgery for the recurrence, and that was long before the tumor became inoperable. From the memorial:

"My darling Carol had been battling breast cancer for the past 11 years. She was first diagnosed in Nov 2001 and had a lumpectomy.

Everything was fine for the next year and a half, than the tumor returned. Not wanting to go under the knife again she opted to go with alternative therapies. "

Boy, I really didn't want to get back into this, but momine's post was not disgusting . Those words were written by chilli's husband and he clearly adored his wife. It is also clear, from chill's own words, that she regretted her decision to pursue alt tx until it was too late for conventional to be effective. Her final tx decisions were made out of desperation, not choice. While no one can say whether conventional tx would have changed the course of her disease, chilli's own regrets do serve as a cautionary tale that she herself told. Her words and her husband's words are as much a part of her legacy as her last brave attempt at a treatment that she was very clear she had no choice about. May she rest in peace.

I think it's in extremely bad taste to point to a so-called "mistake" by someone who is no longer with us. Stage IV BC is not survivable.

Susie, with due respect, you have to admit that there is no cure.

I feel outrage at coming to this thread and finding this discussion.  Is this what goes on when a conventional member dies?  Is it?

I am outraged, I am shaking, I am near tears, my brain is hot!

I am hitting report on some of the posts, hoping this will get cleared up if other truly alternative members do the same.  I understand 3 reports on a post gets it off by our alternative community. Edited to add that it cannot be reported unless there are abusive or hateful comments.  I suppose mine is the most 'hateful' because I am so very upset.  But this is ridiculous.

It is time this endless squabble ends.

Conventionals who cannot come to the ALTERNATIVE MEDICNE - ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT forum with respect for our choices and how it comes out in the end - who cannot ACCEPT OUR HONESTY!!!!!! whether we mourn our choices or we congratulate ourselves on a road well traveled anyway...... if you cannot come with respect to us, then you need to stay away.  Let us do our work here.

Considering Chillipadi was dx eleven years ago, she came a long long way.  Let's give her that. Let's give her the peace and respect she deserves.

This is all I am saving on the topic.

    And now I am sad.

Edited to add, no one would go over to conventional and do this, all the you need to be aware.  We alternatives feel that way about the chemo and radiation, but we I hope all try to respect that line.  This is a place for information and support.

    Now I am done.

Yes, no one knows what might have been or could have been. I guess rather than a criticism, I just see it as a bit of a cautionary tale as chilli herself regretted her decision. And although I admire her bravery and honesty in speaking of her black salve tx, she was clear that this was a matter of desperation, not choice. Again, not a criticism (when push comes to shove, can't say I won't seek something off the beaten path) but a cautionary tale told in her own words.

That's the only point I'm trying to make.

Oh-my-freakin'-gawd. When Caryn took it upon herself to "out" Chilli's real name, I WAS DISGUSTED, and vowed I would never post publicly here again. Caryn, you knew that her name was given out by that woman (and I use the term loosely) on the other blog site, even posted that's where your information came from, but chose to bring the drama from there over here by using her real name....charming. Now anyone in her family can google her name and find this site and find all the rotten things that were said to her and about her. You know as well as I do, that her name would never have been given by her, but because some psycho, vulgar human being felt it necessary to tell the world, why on earth would you think it would be o.k. to do that here?  Suzie, did you know Chilli personally? Don't think so.....as a matter of fact, you threw her screen name out there like there was no tomorrow about what she did and didn't do, but in reality, have no earthly idea. Most of the grief she had to put up with was directly propagated by you.

I considered her a friend, and I will not sit idly by while you continue to sully her name, even after her death. Just to add insult to injury, and you know who you are, now you post your condolences, but harassed her publicly and through pm while she was an active member. You can imagine what I would like to say to you.

Unbelievable. I thought I'd seen it all on this site, but this???? Sunk to a new low....a low for which I cannot find the words.

Out of respect for Chillipadi and out of my high ideals for this alternative thread, I am posting what we need to hear.  More info on how to keep on keeping on... however far it takes us in the physical.

Ojibwa tea.  This week I started too fast with an oleander addition to my protocol.  5 caps instead of starting w only one.  Really.  Already using the red and black raspberry and rife machine 2x week.  Working 8 hrs day again, feeling good.  Then upped the ante and went for another angle since cancer does transition, so must I.... but added too much oleander and after one week I was a bit overloaded with the cancer die off, very tired, swollen, lymph glands sore, painful everywhere, loose bowels.  I was quite exhausted too often and knew I was doing something wrong - but with the memory issues ??? took awhile to figure it out.  Thought it was flu, then thought the going off synthroid (now on t-3 and t-4).  I stopped everything.  Started drinking some Ojibwa tea 4 x a day.  After 2 x I was draining all the toxins, swelling went down completely, urinating clear again, pain stopped in two days. Many know it as Essiac, but I use the Anishinabee freshly cultived Ojibwa tea.  Good for liver detox, oxygenation, heart health, blood cells, immune, energy, colon cleanse, kidney and bladder cleanse, parasites, inflammation, swelling.  Any questions pm or ask here, I will keep watch to help.

We are all sad to lose Chillipadi. This continuing discussion about her treatment choices is inappropriate and distressing. Let's return to what this community does so well, with positive support and information for everyone searching for help and the wisdom of experience.

When bad things happen to people there is a human tendency to place blame, often when we are grieving. Perhaps that is what is happening here. It's hard to just accept that Chilipadi is gone and leave it at that.

Thank you Nancy, I am even more improved this evening.  It is good stuff.  I had not made any in a month, so had to make fresh batch.

My DD told me tonight about a PhD in Spain who is using a natural therapy for brain cancer and it is working, it is being used all over the world, but not here.  Already forgot what it is, will post detail later.

Is the brain cancer tx boswellia by any chance? I wonder, Essa, the way you change treatments because the way cancer becomes resistant, I was wondering if maybe it does not become resistant to natural treatments? I have no idea, just wondering aloud. I have a batch of essiac made with three additional herbs in it. I keep putting off drinking it because I don't like it! Guess I will get started now. I'm going to try it with agave or honey and see if that makes it any better. I can tolerate it but its definitely not enjoyable. Also, its supposed to be taken on an empty stomach, so ok, in the morning that will work but I don't think my stomach is empty any other time of day!

    RE: TUMERIC/CURCUMIN

Is anyone on either and does anyone know the difference?  Curcumin Pro was suggested to me, but everything I read says tumeric. Is there a big difference ?  They seem to be used interchangeably which I think may be in error (?)

    Thx for any clarification!

Turmeric is the name of the plant and it is a rhizome in the same family as ginger.  Curcumin is the principal derivative from turmeric that has the anti-cancer properties.  In this case, whenever I have seen it referred to in supplements, the words are interchangeable and refer to one and the same substance.  This, of course, is not the case for all supplements/extracts, e.g., green tea which has 4 major derivatives but EGCG is the one that is attributed to having anti-cancer properties.

GraceD - I change the tx choices about every 3 weeks, and I overlap them.  So far in 1.3 years have not done same three at one time, same two maybe once or twice for a week.  I believe the cancer cells not only become resistant but more importantly in the natural choices that the cancer cells morph through stages of life, they can repeat same stage of life more than once, who knows how many times before apotosis (their natural cell death, which is the best thing we can bring them to if possible).  That's why I change up, transitioning I call it.  Am using my instinct to tell me when to change, followed up with kinesiology to say yes, it's time.  I also consult with a few MDs and an old time healer. I believe in every choice I make, some more than others.  But am saving some big guns for later, plus learning more as we go.  I encourage everyone to know many many ways to deal with this at many stages, write them down for when you cannot think or do for yourself.  Have back up contacts for your f or f to get help in knowing what it means, if they are not on board with this knowledge.

My spelling, typing thinking is terrible today.  Head hurts.  I am shaking from being so upset this morning.  A very good friend (hubby works with her husband, we have known them for 40 years, our DD calls then Aunt and Uncle) she died of cancer last night.  She was 'better' so her husband came back north, she has been in tx where her daughter lives in Indy.  But she was not better, he was in denial.  She was going through the beautiful place we are gifted before we pass over.  He is ravaged with guilt, he missed it, he missed her death, he was not with his daughters.  So harsh.

Please, if you have more comments or apologies or defenses about the discussion from Saturday, please please use your PM to talk it out with the other person.  Let's let this go, clear the air in the forum and spend out our precious time loving one another and Chilli. Okay?

    Thanks.

I take it and I don't think there's a difference. I have a bottle that says turmeric extract, 95 percent curcumin. The other bottle says curcumin, and in smaller letters turmeric extract. Both bottles are from vitamin shoppe. The second one is a newer bottle and has bioperine in it, which helps absorption. The first bottle is really old.

ETA - Oh and my daughter sent me this link - she was so excited she called me at midnight. I woke up to go to bathroom, thinking about here so hard, and she called before I got back to bed.   There is a part about science proves thereare 64 combinations for our DNA with the amino acids we but we only have 20 now. Shows it about 18 minutes in. Very poignant video about illussions, how sound controls all of the world we see.  Just slide to 18 if you are after the DNA info, the other is quite controversial.

Anyway, what the whole video is saying is this.

Also, about the turmeric/curcumin, I recently read an article abt boswellia that said it works really well together with curcumin. They are both natural anti inflammatories. The boswellia is used for brain cancer or brain mets. I'm taking it to prevent brain mets and I take the curcumin for the anti cancer properties, but many people take one or both for joint pain. I think it might be why I don't have any joint pain from letrozole, although I can't be sure of course. Vitamin shoppe has a triple strengh curcumin that is 900 mg per pill, which I bought to cut down on the number of pills.

I'm using a powder and an extract cucumin.  Is hard for me to take, I don't like the strong flavors, so use juice to put it in.  I am not sure how much.  Need to do more, I know for sure, have to check.  The boswellia, I am adding to protocol.  Thanks HLB
