    Good Morning all

Chevy I believe I know the answer--- It might have depended on the religious faith that the ranchers have. =Like circumcised or not depending on u'r beliefs. And I didn't look that up.

Blessing now I know I could have donated all my bras to a horse ranch. Oh well, too late now.

Gardengumpy, I went to Cannon Beach 2 summers ago, but not the weekend of the contest. I wondered is parking a huge issue if you are not staying in Cannon Beach? I have plans to go in 2 weeks, only staying in Rockaway Beach, which is south.

Chevster, really? you cannot figure out why the good ranchers need to clip the steers? They do it to sheep also. Believe me, I am a city girl, live in the wild now, but grew up in LA, Ca. Even I got that one figured out.

Cami, yes you are correct little one.....it has to do with religion.....The Jewish steers get to keep there's.

Chevy, how is your White Rhino tomatoes coming along? Do they have a certain aroma?

Oh, this is kinda interesting...My area is farming, cows, dairy, spuds. There is a meat packing plant that produces hot dogs, polish dogs, bacon, pork ribs. Once or twice a month, a Hasidic Jew flies in and after all the machinery is cleaned, he blesses the plant so they can package kosher meat. Seeing a Hasidic Jewish man in this neck of the woods is like seeing Big Foot.

Badger, I have seen a few of the photos of your trip, will look for more. I think that is wonderful that you travel with BCO ladies. Was is a great concert last night ?

Off to get something done.....happy Sunday, waving hello to all....

The concert was AWESOME!  Although the average age of the audience was at least 50, there were a surprising number of children.  A lady sitting up front had her (four-YO?) daughter on her lap and Piero brought the little girl up on-stage and sang to her, very sweet.  A slew of young women rushed the stage at the end of the last encore to reach up and get their hands touched (ooooh!).  A lucky few even got selfies with one of the guys.  Very fun night and so glad we did this. ♥

Good Afternoon Owlettes. Concerts and castrating all in the same page. Definitely diversity of thought LOL.
Badger traveling girl. Orlando has allot to offer, but need to plan carefully to make best use of money. Sleep keeps coming to visit , but at the wrong time. My head is all messed up. Talk about messed up. There is a vote on medicinal pot in the fall. But very specific diagnoses. Stupid law. Only going to make matters worse.

FBB sounds like you had a good talk. HI1 is right rates don't go down until after 25-26. It would be less if she stayed on yours and paid you. Is she going to stay on the BBF's couch?

DBBf just replaced DS's duct work in the attic of his new house. They worked together. Ds was amazed at how hard DBBF works/ed. I think some bonding went on. DBBf's helper's not showing up turned out to be a good thing. Life is good(for this afternoon)LOL. Shoe seems to drop after something nice.

BBL or see you tomorrow L&H&P's Waving sassy

Hi - Holeinone.  As I recall, Cannon Beach always has some parking problems in the summer.  When we went to the contest we stayed at a hotel on the beach - therefore had parking - and never moved the vehicle the entire time we were there.  :)  Cannon Beach isn't that big, and eleven years ago I could walk miles and miles without getting tired - I'm not so sure how I'd do now.

You guys are all nuts!  So you mean the cows and bulls have religions too?   And goats?  Now do you really think I am going to believe THAT?

So I'll bet they castrate Roosters too?  Because they are WHAT again?    Nope.... I ain't a-gonna buy that....

Nettie!  Did you hear that?  I don't think know what they are talking about.... I suppose they have little churches for all the bulls, if they want to be steers....  But if they change their religion they can stay Bulls?  Now that's BS you know....   just thought I would let you know...

Nettie.... CUTE cartoon.... yes.... I think we can all relate!  Ha, ha!

    Wish you felt better....

Okay, so I am soaking a lot of bars of soap....  Just like they used to do in the old days....  We don't use soap anymore.... and I have all these bars!  So I have a big like pretzel jug, and I have them soaking and getting liquefied...  and I will wash clothes and various things, and see how it works.  I am also adding old baking soda.... I've read where you can do that....

Yes, HIO!  But it is to make their meat taste better?  Man, they had better do something, because beef just does not taste that good anymore.....   And my White Rhino tomato plants are doing good.... How come YOU know so much about it?  image

Oh, so you are saying that a some sort of Jewish man will bless those bulls to make them Kosher?  That's all it takes?

You expect me to believe THAT one?  YOU guys will fall for anything!

Chevy, yes we established early on that we fall for anything, we'll lay down, we go out to the toonies and find young twigs to pole dance on. So, it's an easy leap think that we believe anything : Ahem imo :) sassy

GOOD one Sassy!  Ha, ha!  Yes, we will believe anything.... almost.... pert-near anyway.

I'm making those garlic-cheddar bisquits for dinner..... AND home-made mashed potatoes, and I'm cooking  this tough little ba$tard of a "tenderized" steak!  I cut it up into pieces, floured it, browned it in my cast-iron skillet, added onions and garlic, and brown gravy mix, and I am simmering it until the cows come home!  OR until it is tender.

Don't you just hate when you buy a tenderized piece of meat, and you can hardly chew it?    So I'll show IT!

    Good catch, Blessings!

Chevy, dinner sounds yummy! The only uses I know for the "tenderized" cube steaks are chicken fried steak. Your idea sounds so good, I'll have to try it.

You know, I TRIED that with mine, but it still didn't taste good.... I covered it with Bisquick, and let it set for about an hour, but when I fried it, it just wasn't very good!

So that's why I cut this one up, and am simmering it.... It really DOES taste good now...   and we'll have it over the mashed potatoes...

My Grandma used to brown her flour in a big cast-iron skillet.... Just poured the flour in, turned the flame up, and kept stirring it until it browned all over.  She would save it in a big jar, for whenever she needed it.....   Everything tasted so good when she would put that browned flour on, and then fry it in bacon grease.... She did that with her pot-roasts, AND chicken.  And everything was fried in bacon grease, that she kept in a can on the back of the stove.

When she fried the chicken, and it was brown, she would add the onions, and simmer it all with water....  !   It was sooooooo tender and tasty!

Chevy, mine used to be so-so, until I found this recipe:

    http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/02/chicken...

Garlic cheddar biscuits sound yummy. Easy to make? Maybe it's the summer heat or something else, but I run out of ideas (don't mind cooking though). What are some of your easy go-to recipes for chicken (use a lot of boneless, skinless chicken breasts).  Thanks!

RUN CHARLIE RUN!!!!!!!' It's a start, now we just need to get rid of King Ricky

Chevy, it's the cast iron skillet that makes everything good, including DHs.  When we got married mom asked me about a wedding gift. I wanted HER skillet, but knew enough not to say that! So she got me a new one, seasoned it for me, still have it!

Okay 22222222ndT!  Thanks.... I sent it to myself, and I'l try it again!  I USED to mix eggs and milk, and do it like they do at Chili's.... but for some reason, we quit eating those steaks!  DH just likes his plain.... But I like mine just the way they show it.   And did you see that gravy?  I just could make a meal out of gravy and mashed potatoes...

Yes Spookie!  I had my Grandma's and my Mom's cast iron skillets, and have given a couple away.... but I still have the one with the wooden handle.... and I love it!  But try browning plain old flour.... and storing it in a jar....  it gives gravy such a rich taste!

Why am I not understand what you said?  Charlie who?  And then Ricky?  I'm baffled.

thanks Susan, I'm in the SW part of the state, a half-tank of gas to Chicago & back. Would love to meet sometime.  Have you been to the Art Institute of Chicago?  I've missed it last two visits and would really like to spend some time there.

Chevy, Charlie Crist, a Republican turned Democrat who was, gov, AttGeneral, Education Commish is running for gov here. King Ricky, aka Rick Scott who spent 70 MILLION OF HIS OWN $$$$ to buy the govs office. That man has done more to hurt every part of Florida than any gov I can remember. He has to be booted out of Tallahassee. Your DD in Orlando can fill you in more

He owned, and sold HAC, which was fined major $$$$ for Medicare fraud, which he "knows nothing" about!

Spookiesmom, as you know my mom just moved up here from FMB so I've paid attention to FL politics for years.  Amazed by some of the goings-on.  Never did like Rick Scott but I'm not his constituent so will say no more.
