hello ladies. I finally found this thread again. Had posted a few times ( mostly lurked and laughed) a few months ago but somehow I lost it and then my brain must have deleted it. Today I was at sonic with my ds who asks if he can try chocolate coke which reminded me of Chevy (whom i thought was in the hosputal for a broken hip last time i was here - hope you healed well ) and tada I found this thread again. You ladies appear to have a close relationship and lots of fun, pics and laughter. Hoping its ok I just jumped in. :-)
-
Geez Peppermint! Well you wait long enough to FIND us again, Ha! THAT little incident was almost 11 weeks ago, and I am back to pole dancing (almost) and working in my yard! Put us in your favorites... You are kind of new here, so maybe you just need to be shown the ropes.... again....
Yes, we are all close, and if you figure out how to stick around, YOU will be closer, or crazier like WE are...
See, we generally make up names for these other gals, like Phyllidinkier... SHE is an odd one! She has this paint-ball gun, tha she terrorizes the neighborhood kids with. She hides behind her picket fence, crouches down, and lets them have it when they are merely playing ! So she was in the big-house with this offense, with big-Alice, and together they lived happily ever after.
She has "hot-spots".... Good Lord Girl! I has a hot-spot too.... I think we ALL have... but getting back to Phylli.... Maybe it's just adhesions? Or WTH???? I don't know about this one....
If you go back pages and pages, you will see what these other ruffians are up to... mostly mischief.. And smoking weed..
And then SOTERIA got a little miffed when I posted her Walmart picture.... Oh wait... here's another one... I like the blue hair bun!
She needed to make a wine-box run.....
Morning Spookie and LittlePaws... How are the little ones? We would like a picture please...
Oh Susan....! Sooooo cute! And HEY JWow!
See, HoleinOne is actually GolfGirl..(GG) So you can call her anything closer to resembling all that! Like HoLittleG... on no wait... that is just not right... Just call her GIRL... I get so confused... But she is right.. Cammi is in the dumps, and Susan, and Lord knows who all else!
These gals all need a little prayer or 12... Or a good dose of Castor-oil... Fix them right up.
Oh? I see Phylliwiththelittlebastardcells is a little annoyed! Well we can't blame her... More Castor-oil.... or maybe even some Milk-Toast! My Mom used to give that to me when I was feeling puny.
Smarty, you are right! Imagine!!! You are right ON girl! Okay, let's all go jump on Phylliwiththelittlebastardcells CHEST! Is that what you said? I'm just not sure about that one...... Oh no.... not her butt... YOU said ass... such a brat!
Okay Cammi.... Do we have to send out the troops to come find you? Can you get Joey to at least post a few words about what you are doing? We are getting a tad worried... I mean who can I talk chicken to, if you are not here? You are going Wednesday for test-talk?
Okay.... WE GOT 6 EGGS YESTERDAY... !!! Hold the applause... The girls appreciate my tenderness and treats!
-
I was "working" yesterday...
Ooooooooh, my hair is so long and un-wieldy...............
-
Good morning girls! Ahhhhhh Coffee! Breakfast of Champions!
I'm going to get ready for church. Y'all have a blessed day. Chevy try to stay out of trouble.......
Paula
-
good morning everyone. Welcome back PP. I must have just started when you drifted away. These ladies are a lot of fun.....I don't have a nickname
. My C does, we call it Waldo, and my port is Portia. But not me. Guess I am not quirky enough to get one..ha..ha
Today I fininsh the garden. I will post a pic when I am done....I know u r on pin and needles..lol. We put an arbor in, a little stone path, path is lined with mason bricks with holes in them, so we planted moss roses in the holes. It is looking so nice....and I have found the secret to sleeping. Garden after working and haul heavy stuff. I have been sleeping like a champ !!!!!!!!
Cami, hope you r feeling better with that bladder. I think next week you see doc...good luck
Nettie, hope you are feeling better too
And everyone else who is in pain and has low energy today, hope you get a boost of goodness
-
Susan! You just sounded so.... er, um "Normal!' And I didn't know what to think! Who is PP? You mean Paula Prentiss? Is she here too?
I FINALLY found out what your "C" was, then you came up with this naming your Port, so now it is Portia! And so now YOU need a name.... I mean one that isn't as "staid" as Sweet Susan.... Okay..... that's it..... SWEETSUSAN it is..... Now don't go acting all tarty and everything like Cammi does, since I gave you such a sweet name!
Your gardening ideas sound really nice! Can you post a picture? I mean other than the one of you traveling to France, and drinking coffee, and ho-hum stuff.
I'm on pin.... (you said one pin) So I'm on pin and needles, waiting! I took pictures of mine, and they all made fun of my gatchees or whatever they are.....
-
SweetSusan,
French Open Men's Final on now.....
-
Morning owls!
-
updated photo of Snuggs and Annie Mae for you Chevy,
-
Well I'm crazier than ever today...had a question for you all, signed in to ask, got to reading and now I forgot the question. Frustrated.....
Oh wait, it just came to me, lately I find that with just minimal exertion, just changing clothes, I will sweaty profusely and become extremely exhausted. It's almost like the exhaustion that would hit while I as on chemo. Anyone have any insights???
I see my new PCP tomorrow, in going to scare him with all my issues.
-
First, Pawprint! THANK you! It looks like little Snuggs is guarding her "sister!" Is Annie Mae a lot better without the pain? And her fur is growing back! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nettie.... It MUST have something to do with your chemo? Write down all your questions..... then jot down the answers.... That was the only way I could remember anything.... TELL him how afraid you are of all this new stuff! Just come back here with good news, OKAY?
-
Chevy, I finished chemo in August 2013, I should be past those side effects
-
That video caught my cat's attention!
Nettie, Could be the Aromasin. I don't know about the exhausted part. Definitely bring it up with the PCP.
-
Ok, I'm going right now to correct my treatment, I stopped the Aromasin in March.
-
sure doesn't look like it was much work...but boy was it ever! All the bushes by the fence are new, and the cedar, and arbor, and plants and those bricks that line the pathway. There are moss roses in there. Hopefully they will be full quick. That's taken from my screen porch. The other side is where all my pots of flowers are and the veggies garden. I have posted those already. Won't bore you again..lol
Sooooo happy it's done. Makes me very peaceful to hang out in a garden
-
Chevy....nice...sweetsusan.....won't tell anyone who knows me, they might disagree...lol
Today, my friends daughter asked if she could have my snake....I said yes...so tungsten and I had to say goodbye today. My friends daughter just graduated high school but is staying here for college. She is a real quiet kid with really not many friends. Great kid, but has no filter..kinda just says what's on her mind. So I felt good tungsten will be handled more. We don't play much...lol. Just is well taken care of. If her mom doesn't think she is taking good care of it, I get it back. I bought him a going away present...a new hiding log....don't you guys be making fun of me now.....just wanted to let you know, tungsten won't be able to join us at the tea party, paintball fun day
-
Nettie, The only time I had those kind of symptoms....now this doesn't mean it is happening to you, but I was bleeding slightly internally. They actually never found out the cause. Kinda thought it might be some kind of blood vessels, that for whatever reason, would rise up to the intestinal lining, burst, and then recede back, so they couldn't detect anything. But I couldn't walk up my steps without resting and the top. It was very out of sorts for me...but like I said, they never found anything. I stopped taking my migraine meds, which had aspirin in them, and it never happened again.
But those symptoms are common for bleeding ulcers.....just a thought
Here is when we need our sas
Hope they figure to out....
-
Surgery tomorrow...gonna go in and clean out this stinking area and hopefully once and for all get rid of this crap. Its supposed to be a out patient procedure, but it isn't until 415p. *sigh* So, I'll be starving. lol..I'm gonna get up early and eat a big breakfast, just have to be fasting for 8 hrs prior right?Hole-did your port thing go easily?
((hugs)) everyone!!
-
holeinone ..didn't get to see the game. Know nadal won...I will watch the replay
Chevy..PP...patty peppermint
-
Susan, very pretty yard. Hubby and I (mostly him) planted two more shrubs today. I'm so tired... But hopefully our yard will look as pretty as yours when complete.
-
Well, I don't do flowers...but tomorrow I'll take a pic of what i did today..I mowed again, but this time I also bush hogged.
-
tang...what surgery?? Sending hugs your way
-
Nettie, I've been like that for years. I can't do Anything, even in house with a/c on without looking like I'm just out of shower. I suspect my thyroid ois wonky, maybe that has something to do with?
-
Tang,
Yes, the port yanking was much easier than getting it in there. It is sore, but compared to everything we have been through, piece of cake.
Good luck tomorrow, I would be careful about eating in the morning. I would eat, light, and maybe not tell them. I would be worried they will say nope, can't do it. You could call early in the morning & ask a nurse. Some surgeons are very particular about that. My DH had knee surgery once at 7:00 PM... Did not eat a thing. He got pretty weak.
Patty Pepper, WELCOME BACK....
Susan, I watched part of both ladies & men's final. Both were excellent matches. I usually root for the under dog. Your yard looks fantastic. Nice and tidy. I painted some old pots today, colors of the ocean.
Nettie, hope ya get some feedback from new PCP. I am still blaming stuff on chemo, last one Dec. 1st. But, I think it's Arimidex and my radiated left chest hurts, if I do anything. I am golfing about 4 times a week now, so I am sore all the time. I know you are off the Aromasin.
Chevster, looking good on the pole....you rock it !
-
Susan, looking good!
Hole, you call it port "yanking". Really, what was the procedure? In office, out patient at hosp? Did they put you under? Local?
-
Hi Spookie,
My attempt at humor, I had same day surgery, at the hospital, they knocked me out, twilight sleep.
My surgeon only does it at the hospital. I decided to go for it. I thought about waiting until the fall, but MO said, "you will feel better when it's gone". I have paid the $6,000 out of pocket for the year already, so needed to do it in 2014. I might need foot surgery...if I do, I want to do that this Nov. or Dec. Do you still have yours?
-
Wow Tang 4:15. What a bummer of a time. Maybe someone will cancel and you'll get in earlier. I'll be in your pocket tomorrow. Hope you get some good sleep tonight. I would agree with the something light for breakfast. Did you clear that with you doc?
I cleaned out part of the laundry room today. I've had a pile 'o junk just inside back door, lots of goat/dog stuff. Well, time to go. Killed giant scorpion there yest. #5 in about 2 weeks. We got 3 in one evening last week, one swimming in the toilet. So to get the dog/goat stuff off had to clean out cabinet, tossed tons of old goat stuff, some from when I 1st started with them in 2001. Didn't finish because I got hooked into watching Alaskan Bush People on Discovery. Will finish tomorrow. Then need to make couple "desserts" for VBS teacher lounge. I hope cookies is desserty enough. Not like they will be doing a sit down meal, I don't think.
There are times my rad side hurts too, random and sometimes with exertion. I get the suddenly I'm too hot to continue something, gotta sit under fan NOW. Not thyroid per tests but still it's there. I've been fighting some reaction to a wasp/hornet sting from a week ago. I thought it was cellulitis - not on BC arm PTL. Been using DH's super steroid cream and it's much better. I get stung occas. but not in sev. years. Hope I'm not in for increasing reactions. Guess I need to get me some Benadryl tabs just in case.
-
I do have it still. My MO said it could come out in Sept, that will be a bit over 2 years in. But I'm pretty sure I want to keep it. If the ca comes back, it can't go back where it is. They can't put it on the rads side. And that's 2 potential surgeries.
Did you retire?
-
This thread moves so fast that I can't keep up but I do look at the pretty pictures (ADHD here).
Susan, your garden/lawn sanctuary is lovely! I know what you mean about feeling peaceful when gardening. It's one of the few times I can quiet my mind.
