Susan. I agree super cute . Well done
-
Oh Susan, how adorable!! I love the classic style. I agree with Ms. Wren. You know we expect pictures whenever you spend time with Elena? Hehe
JeanQ, what? We have another Northern Cal person? Are you south of Elk Grove? Best wishes tomorrow.
Sensi, how is the rash? How many more cycles?
-
Hey, Patty!! How are you today? When is anniversary
-
doing very good. Thanks. Only having mouth sores. Can live with it. Anniversary is sat bday Monday
-
Any special plans? How many years have you been married? It will be 22 next April for us. Gosh, where has the time gone?
-
Loverly. That's a long time congrats. We've been together since '91. 25 years but married 22. Amazing. Iweve been together longer than I was alive before him. I was 20 when we met. Feels like I had no life without him. Not sure we have any plans yet. He has a custoner pushing him to finish a job so he has been working a lot lately. Well he actually works a lot all the time but even pushing harder now. Probably wait 2 weeks or so before doing anything really. Iam ok with that
-
Lover...rash area is ok. Still not sure if it was from weeds, bug or chemo. Let MO know about it and will see her on Tues. Last chemo is on Wednesday!
Sending positive thoughts/prayers for any and all in the path of the hurricane.
Hope everyone else is well

Ok, doggie talk time. JunieB and ShepK, thank you for being a momma to Mitzy indirectly. ShepK, what parasitic infection are you thinking of? Vet did not think it was mange. Said that the last time he saw mange infection was on a piglet brought over from another state . Not a common problem in our area. Per vet, the fact that Mitzy responded to Apoquel indicates that she has allergies. No preservatives in her food. She is down to just potato and bison formula dog food with occasional apples, sweet potato or yam as treats. I have been given her Ark Natural Omega Mender for her dry flaky skin which seems to help a bit. Just started her on Vetri Science Cell Advance, a supplement to help her with immune system. Can you tell I am desperate? Hah! Good thing I have a job. Regarding floor cleaners, just researched and found out Bona has isothiazolinone, a preservative that can cause dermatitis in human. Darn! Back to vinegar and water to clean my floors.
As for her bed, there is a cotton cover that I wash every time I give her a bath (every 10-14 days). I wonder about the stuffings and the polyester material cover.
So sad about Pepper Ann, JunieB. I can understand why having a female dog might remind you of the terrible memory.
WildT, I hope you feel better today than yesterday. Jazzy is right. It's the drug companies that failus. Who wouldn't want the best defense against recurrence, but not at the cost of quality of life. We metabolize drugs differently. Wonder if another AI would give you manageable side effects. Maybe taking it with Neurontin might help with the pain. Will try and see if I can pick the brain of the oncologist who goes to our church. Very nice guy.
-
Sensi, that rash looks much better. Not that I know anything. YAY to last chemo next Wednesday!! We should go out to lunch to celebrate after you recover, of course. I am sure Ms. S would love to get together.
Patty, DH and I have been together since '91 also. He was the most persistent of all the guys. Hah! I was really shy. Hey, we are around the same age.
-
Ok, I am done. You can come out now
Good nite, dear friend(s) and good morning dear Feline!
-
Jean ~ Hopping in your pocket too! You'll know I'm there - I'm the "quiet" one that behaves. Loverly squirms and blames it on JunieB. May all go well for your surgery. Hope you have a comfy and fast recovery! And yes, so sad to think of the kids today who will grow up with out ever having the thrill of getting stuck in a waterbed 🙂
JunieB ~ Poor Pepper Ann.......horrible, horrible. Nothing bad should ever happen to our luvies. Your heart has been longing for a pup for so long, that is why the nightmare 😟 Just look at happy puppy pics before bedtime and push those bad dreams away! It's bad when you're happy about the SEs you have......and you have friends that totally understand. "Normal" folks are such wussies! I do hope your hair stops shedding. How much longer will you be doing the Ibrance + Faslodex? Why can't any of these meds make the hair we don't want fall out? I do adore you Miss Junie, however the pictures floating around in my mind of Cairn hair wigs are really creeping me out 😳
Patty!!!! Home with your boys, a big anniversary and your birthday....Hurray!
Loverly ~ OMD, my hand is killllling me to type. Short advice.....definitely stop using the floor care product. And stop bathing Mitzy so often. I know you like her to be clean but once or twice a year is really all she needs. Mitzy's skin produces it's own protective oils that get stripped away with even mild shampoo. Unless she gets into something really yucky, lots of brushing is all she needs. Much healthier for her skin and coat. (sorry) Have you heard from your little sister in Florida? Everytime I look at the weather that fool storm has changed course again. Worried for Sassy too 😟
Waving "hello" to Feline and "goodnight" to everyone else.........
-
Loveroflife - Ha! Your greeting made me laugh out loud - thank you. Lovely way to start an early morning.
-
sensi, does that hurt or itch...looks uncomf. Hope it goes away soon. Good luck and yeah for last chemo
Off to hike, sight see, with my trail friends. Gonna take extra pain meds...yeah. Then off to see Elena.
Jazz, thank you for the pain med post. When I take both tramadol and Vicodin at same time, I feel like " the Iron Lady". But doc told me I can't. Could end up like prince. I said, well, I only take one combo once a day and nothing else all day. I think since a feel so good, and are moving around so much, that the endorphins and serotonin kick in big time. And I am ok for the whole day. He told me don't do it. Now he seems very reluctant to give me anything. He hasn't renewed my tramadol in 4 days. Still waiting for him to call pharmacy. Need to go to PCP like you said. She can take over my pain management. Ahhhhh these docs sometimes.
Patty, yeah, home, and fun weekend. Have a blessed time with your family:)
-
Okay folks, get ready because here comes a whole lotta balloon pics! Enjoy!
-
-
-
Oh those balloon pics are just the BEST! Brought a big smile to my face (one smiley wasn't enough)
-
Love the pics. Thanks. How creative
Hoodie hoo
-
love the cartoony balloons! Don't know if I'll ever go up in one. Jazzy, have you been in one?
-
I've been in one with Mickey Gilley. Old country singer back when I was like 19 or 20. Went to the only baloon festival I've ever seen. My stepmom was waiting in line to get his signature and I waited with. I really didn't care anything about the signature. Anyway finally get our turn and he asks us both if we would like to go up in one. Was super cool. I thought he was hitting on my step mom which was pretty cool. She was flattered but wasn't the kind to cheat on my father. Turns out he was hitting on me. Ugh gross. He was like my grandfathers age. Soon as baloon set back down we were out of there. Can't say it was an actual ride. More just up and down. Still awesome. Would love to actually travel some miles in one
-
Smarty- never been in one, no real desire to go as I have issues with heights.
Glad folks are enjoying the photos. I aim to please!
-
Hmm Patty, he wanted to take you for a ride alright...Lucky you had a chaperone to keep between you and him! It's a long way to jump!!!
-
JunieB
-
Patty, you hottie-hoooo!
Mags ~ 💗🐶
-
jazzy. You def please !
Mags. Very touching. ...weeping
Shep. Taking my lead from you.
Feline. Lol stepmom was strong enough to throw him over if necessary
Hootie hoo
-
Patty ~ Mickey Gilley would have been in his 60s back then. Ewwww. He's 80 now. He is very wealthy though.... Remember he had that famous night club in Texas where Urban Cowboy was filmed? (I cheated and looked him up) You could of been a Country Queen!
Here he is in 1994
-
sticking to my eeww. Gross. More like queen for the night or hour. Lol. He had lots of bling on. His travel trailer was decked out. I only seen from outside not about to go inside.
I've never been one to admire or stand in line to get autograph or pics with famous people. I think. Hmm why are they so special. They should stand in line to get MY autograph. ( which I offer here free of charge - lol jk )
Hootie hoo.
-
Mags - Thanks for that poem. It made my eyes spring a leak, but brought a warm touch to my heart.
How is your mouth feeling today? Do you get to see the dentist soon?
Susan - Thanks for the pic of the dress and hat. They are both adorable, and yes Elena will be one of the best dressed little girls. Next we need pics of Elena wearing them. By the way, how is your Shelby girl?
Jazzy - The balloons are incredible in the pics. I can only imagine how awesome it was to be right there to experience the sight. Thanks for sharing. I agree with Feline, those pics are worthy of multiple 's.
Shep - Your description of a Cairn wig made me bust out laughing. Great way to wake up, as I am here while drinking my first cup of coffee. Just glad I didn't spit coffee all over the computer screen when I read your post.
Have you ever heard that prayer that says in part: LORD give me the courage to change the things I can & the strength to accept that which I cannot? (I may have mixed that up a bit). So while it scares me to think of the future when I am told that my cancer has begun to progress, I also know that I need to live today and one day at a time and deal with that when it comes.
How is your spine doing? Are you up to baking those cupcakes yet? ;0)
I am so sorry your thumb is hurting you so much. It really sucks! Despite my injection not really helping that much, it is better than before. My Rheumatologist is like 55 miles away and I have to use Amtrak or public transportation to get there, which makes for a looooong day. Just for a shot in the thumb.
Sensi - So glad your rash is getting better and WHOO HOO! for your last chemo treatment. Hopefully you'll be able to join Smaarty & Loverly for lunch soon.
Loverly - How did you do that "Welcome, Blinkie" sign. That is really cool!
Patty - So glad you're getting sprung. I hope you do well and are able to enjoy your B-day & Anniversary too.
Well I'm off to the shower. Going to go and volunteer again today. The 3" thick pile of filing is down to 1", so I want to be able to go into the weekend knowing that is behind me. I hate filing, by the way! I'd rather do the data entry, but they come hand in hand.
Jean - I am thinking of you and holding you in prayer. Hope your surgery goes well.
Have A Great Day every one.
